"It's not that they're all gone." Seeing everyone looking at her, Mo Shuwan said somewhat awkwardly, "I picked all those herbs back then."
Cheng Hua stared at Mo Shuwan in shock. "How could you have been so prescient?"
"It's not that I wanted to... I just insisted on eating it. I was afraid it would cause health problems, so I made up an excuse to take it all, thinking that it would be gone once I left..."
After Mo Shuwan finished speaking, a series of complicated gazes were cast upon her, filled with both jealousy and speechlessness.
Mo Shuwan didn't hide anything and generously took out a medicinal herb, saying, "I'll keep them all, but I don't recognize any of these herbs and don't know what they're used for."
Seeing the herbs she was holding, everyone felt their hearts stop for a moment. Wang Jiajia weakly reminded them, "These are herbs that are tens of thousands of years old, don't hold them like that!"
Mo Shuwan nodded, opened her palm and placed the herbs on it. Her movements weren't rough, but they certainly weren't gentle either. "What is this?"
Wang Jiajia shook her head, indicating that she didn't know either.
Surprisingly, after the last round of people looked at it, not a single one knew the effects of the herb. The only certainty was that the herb had an exceptionally strong vitality and should be edible. However, a herb that was tens of thousands of years old would probably be too much for the average person to handle.
This unknown flower has ten petals, each a different color. Mo Shuwan looked at it carefully and remembered that Hope had eaten a flower of the same age before and had not been harmed. So she reached out and picked a petal to feed Hope, and then picked the other nine petals as well.
She saved three petals for her teammates, including herself, and distributed the remaining five petals to everyone else.
Mo Shuwan split the flower petals in her hand in two, handing one half to Wen Zuo and putting the other half into her mouth. Her sudden action startled everyone.
"You're really going to eat it like that? What if there are side effects? And are you sure you can handle the effects of just half a petal?"
Zheng Shanhe frowned as well, "This kind of herb that is tens of thousands of years old can only be taken in small amounts at most. You... are being too reckless."
Mo Shuwan smiled and said, "Anyway, things can't get any worse than they are now."
Actually, she had thought it through carefully before eating the flower petals. Battlefield One was destroyed, and they were teleported to the Burial Ground by the stratosphere at the last minute. They couldn't find a way back to the Alliance, were constantly being corrupted by dark forces, and had to be careful of extraterrestrial invaders who might attack at any time. Now they were forced into this hellish place, and it was really hard to say whether they could get out alive.
It's better to take a gamble. If you win, you might really have a chance to leave this burial place alive. But if you lose, it's just a different way of dying.
The petals didn't melt in her mouth as she had imagined. Mo Shuwan held the slowly melting petals in her mouth and said in a deep voice, "These are just the four outermost ships of extraterrestrial invaders, yet they have already chased us to the point of having nowhere to run. Even if we manage to escape this so-called ancient ruin this time, with our strength, it is impossible for us to escape the burial ground. Our previous thinking was too optimistic."
Originally, they planned to find out how to leave the burial ground first, and then try to escape. However, after this incident, they realized that with their strength, even finding out how to leave was a pipe dream.
"You're such a gambler."
Mo Shuwan smiled and said, "I'm not entirely without support."
With only the last bit of petal tip remaining on her tongue, Mo Shuwan removed her hope from her lap and took a deep breath.
Just then, a series of chaotic footsteps came from outside. The people hiding outside peeked out and found that it was the same group of extraterrestrial invaders from before. They looked even more disheveled than when they first met, and their numbers seemed to have decreased by a few more. It was not just the pillar chasing them anymore.
When they finally saw what the other things chasing them were, they felt a chill run down their spines.
Those were actually individuals!
But upon closer inspection, one would find that they were reduced to mere heads, their bodies supported by a dense mass of white worms. Yet, judging from their expressions, they still retained consciousness…
"Damn! Those are the three guys who ran out earlier, and the ones next to them must be extraterrestrial invaders."
As the other party approached step by step, everyone took a step back in disgust.
A group of invaders from outside the region approached in a disheveled state. The young man at the front spotted the group hiding in the gap, and his pupils constricted sharply. "You're still alive?!"
Having been relentlessly pursued and hunted, they were inevitably shocked and incredulous when they saw the people they thought were long dead appear before them unharmed. But it was this brief hesitation that caused them to miss their chance to rush in, leaving them no choice but to continue running around the palace.
"Help me, help me!" A person whose body was controlled by white insects ran past, their head turning to look at the people hiding in the crevice, screaming hoarsely, "Help me!!!"
Chenghua, who was crouching on the outermost edge, cursed under his breath, "Save you my ass! You idiot!"
'boom'
Suddenly, a gust of air rushed out from inside, pushing the unsuspecting crowd out through the gap. Cheng Hua, who was squatting on the outermost edge, fell flat on his face. Before he could get up, he felt a heavy weight on his shoulder. He turned his head sharply and saw the guy who had just been yelling for help squatting next to him. The weight on his shoulder came from this guy.
The swarming insects were still moving around. Chenghua was so disgusted that he immediately kicked one of them, but the insects immediately parted to reveal the stark white bones inside.
"grass!"
