She feigned great fear, lowering her head to observe the surrounding invaders, memorizing their expressions, before sitting down beside the giant and burying her face in her knees.
After that, Mo Shuwan would be away for a very long time during each hunt, only returning when the giant was about to lose patience. And from that day on, the amount of prey she brought back shrank considerably. Each time she returned, she would look exhausted and have many more wounds on her body.
This convinced the invaders that the treasure in her possession had been stolen, but to their surprise, the guy still hadn't returned.
Does he intend to keep the treasure for himself?
The thought flashed through everyone's minds, and then took root and grew wildly in their minds like weeds, impossible to stop.
But there is still a question: even if that guy wanted to keep it all for himself, it is unlikely that he would run away with the treasure. How could he possibly survive on the Western Continent on his own?
However, a few people considered a possibility, and their hearts skipped a beat. If that guy had also sensed the existence of the 'cage,' he might actually find a way to escape over the long years. He might have been waiting for an opportunity, and now that he had seized the treasure, he might be eager to run away...
Mo Shuwan left early and returned late every day, and on the surface, her condition seemed to be getting worse and worse, but only she knew how much she had improved during this period.
She didn't care what side effects the cultivation she gained through the medicine would bring. All she wanted to do was escape this vortex and go home with her friends.
On the day the invaders from beyond the borders were about to set off, the giant's servants finally approached Mo Shuwan, of course, during the time she was searching for food for the giant before their departure.
"What do you want to do!"
The foreign invaders surrounded Mo Shuwan, scrutinizing her for a moment to make sure she didn't have anything that could threaten them. Only then did someone speak up, "What did that guy take from you last time? Where did he go in the end?"
Mo Shuwan looked humiliated, biting her lower lip hard and flashing anger in her eyes.
"Tell us, and we won't do anything to you."
Mo Shuwan glared at everyone, feigning resignation, and said with a resentful expression, "She stole my treasure bag! We're clearly of the same race, why is she doing this to me! The treasure bag can only find small things that aren't even considered treasures, it's useless to her, why did she steal my things!"
Hearing Mo Shuwan's roar, everyone's expressions varied. After she calmed down a bit, they continued to ask, "Where did he go?"
"How would I know?" Mo Shuwan snorted coldly, then, as if remembering something, said angrily, "I think he's very strange. After getting the treasure, he kept talking about escaping some kind of cage—"
"What did you say?! What cage?"
Mo Shuwan seemed startled, staring at her wrist that was being gripped. It took her a long time to react before she stammered, "I don't know. I only heard some things. He said he didn't want to live like this anymore, that he wanted to escape, and that the place we live in is a cage—"
Before the last few words had even finished, Mo Shuwan was violently thrown to the side. She fell to the ground, staring blankly at the foreign invaders before her.
What did she mean?
Only a few of the invaders from outside the region know about the cage, because the Burial Ground is such a special place that only those who have reached a certain level of strength can vaguely know some of the truth. Just like the few people in this group who have figured out their situation from endless reincarnation.
For these invaders from beyond the borders, leaving their burial ground was their deepest desire. To completely escape the land that they saw as a prison, they not only had to conquer the Western Continent, but also use its people to make their escape.
That's why the invaders from outside the region came to the Western Continent without hesitation.
Mo Shuwan had some hope that these guys would reveal some secrets, but unfortunately, they had no intention of communicating with other extraterrestrial invaders who were unaware of the truth.
After that, Mo Shuwan was no longer in the spotlight, which she was happy to do. However, when moving with the main group, she would occasionally sneak into the midst of the foreign invaders to subtly probe for information. Over the course of more than a month, she did manage to uncover some clues.
She kept these clues to herself, preparing for her escape later.
Mo Shuwan had just returned from outside when she learned that in five days, they would arrive at the battlefield in front of the first fortress erected on the Western Continent. Upon learning this, she didn't feel much joy, since she wasn't truly free yet. Even if she managed to escape back to the Alliance in the chaos, the giants could easily bring her back.
Regardless of whether anyone on the other side might have a solution to this matter, she dared not gamble. She only had one chance to escape, because Mo Shuwan knew clearly that if she escaped and was caught by the giant, she would not be as lucky as she was now to continue living.
When they finally reunited with the extraterrestrial invaders who had been there all along, Mo Shuwan noticed that some of the giants' servants, whom she had fooled, were showing signs of excitement. Since that time, their behavior had changed somewhat, and she certainly couldn't ignore such a stark emotional fluctuation this time, so she squinted and observed them carefully.
The giants, of course, could not stay in the same place as the other invaders from outside the region. They were specially arranged to stay in another place, where the Alliance's majestic first fortress could even be vaguely seen.
