Qin Heshi Side Story [1] Slaying Demons, the God of Slaughter Descends
In the pitch-black night, a crescent moon was completely obscured by the floating dark clouds, and the stars were dim and without light.
Beneath the dimly lit, cold sea-crossing bridge, a woman breathed heavily, her slender back leaning against a thick bridge pillar.
The sea was calm, without the hustle and bustle of the day, as if it were asleep.
A thunderous roar erupted, lightning ripped through the night sky, dark clouds churned, and the crescent moon and stars vanished completely.
Before long, a sudden and violent storm shattered the slumbering sea.
Qin Heshi chuckled, took out her phone and turned on the flashlight. In the dim light, she took off her backpack, found some disinfectant, and then took out some hemostatic powder to apply to the wound on her arm.
Finally, after wrapping the wound with gauze several times and securing it properly, he slowly climbed the steps and walked to where the black car was hiding.
She opened the car door, got into the driver's seat, and the car engine roared to life.
Qin Heshi stared straight ahead and slammed on the gas pedal.
The car that was under the bridge forced its way up the stairs next to the bridge and finally crashed onto the bridge!
The car sped through the dark night, braving the fierce wind and torrential rain!
The following morning, a case went viral, causing a sensation across the internet.
Qin Heyao stuffed bread into her mouth while answering the phone, "Yes, okay, I'll be right there."
Madam Qin looked at her eldest son with concern, "He Yao, what's wrong? What happened?"
"Mom, it's a new case, I have to go back to the station right away." Qin Heyao said, putting on his coat. Madam Qin quickly stood up, "Take the milk with you."
"Okay." Qin Heyao hurriedly took the milk and was about to leave when she saw her younger sister, Qin Heshi, yawning as she walked over. "Heshi, you and Mom shouldn't go out these next few days unless absolutely necessary. Understand?"
Qin Heshi glanced at him. "What's wrong?"
"You'll know if you look at the trending topics," Qin Heyao said before quickly leaving.
Qin Heshi opened his phone and stared at the news on the screen.
"A beautiful woman was kicked unconscious by a masked, burly man wearing a baseball cap at the elevator entrance. He carried her to a blind spot of the surveillance cameras and assaulted her for 20 minutes. The man then pulled up his pants and left. The woman suffered dozens of stitches all over her body, massive intracranial hemorrhage, anal tear, ankle fracture, and permanent disability in her left leg. Due to severe damage to the back of her head, she developed amnesia and had no memory of the incident."
Qin Heshi's gaze was icy. She had thought it was because of what happened last night that was trending on social media, but it turned out... there were demons among us.
She scrolled down further and saw that the incident from last night had been relegated to a corner by this trending topic.
Qin Heshi raised an eyebrow.
Mrs. Qin was also watching the news. She put down her phone, still shaken, and said worriedly to Qin Heshi, "You should stay home these next few days and not go anywhere. Don't go to school either. It's too dangerous outside. You're such a beautiful and well-built girl, and so naive..."
Madam Qin was worried, feeling that her daughter looked like an innocent little rabbit no matter how she looked at her.
If you get sold out, you'll probably still be helping the seller count the money.
"Mom, no need. My schoolwork is quite important these days, and I have experiments to do, so I have to go to school." Qin Heshi's voice was calm, and his words were almost devoid of any emotional fluctuation.
"He Shi?" Madam Qin's eyes instantly reddened. "Please, I'm begging you. Your brother is a policeman, so I'm not worried about him at all. But you're a girl... How can I not worry?"
Qin Heshi looked at Madam Qin calmly. She had no empathy and no emotional fluctuations; she could hardly feel any of the joys and sorrows of life.
But ever since Qin Heyao took her in, over the past ten years, she has learned to integrate into the Qin family and has also learned to try her best to empathize with the Qin family members, even if it's just a little bit.
Now she could tell one thing: Madam Qin was worried about her, and Madam Qin loved her.
After realizing the result, her usually emotionless, beautiful face softened slightly.
"Okay, Mom. I'll study at home."
"He Shi, you're such a good girl, you're really too good." Madam Qin couldn't help but pinch her daughter's soft little face. Her sweet and soft daughter was indeed the most obedient.
Qin Heshi grinned, revealing his standard eight teeth—a very typical LABUBU-style smile.
She has no emotions, but she can make gestures and expressions.
So she imitated Madam Qin's smile and smiled, though it was a stiff smile and even had a hint of terror in it.
However, Madam Qin, who doted on her daughter, was completely oblivious and unable to perceive the truth.
She pulled Qin Heshi into her arms, ecstatic. "My darling, you actually smiled at Mommy! You look so beautiful and adorable when you smile."
"Your smile is melting my heart."
Mr. Qin paused, his hand still holding the food he had just picked up. He glanced at his wife, who was overflowing with maternal love, and had to admit that she had a bit too much of a bias towards her daughter.
He coughed lightly, deciding to make his presence felt in front of his daughter.
"Hey He Shi, do you still have your allowance? Is there a bag or lipstick you've been wanting to buy lately? Do you want Daddy to get it for you?"
Qin Heshi gently broke free from Madam Qin's embrace and replied to his father, "We still have plenty of money. We don't need anything else."
She smiled again, revealing the same smile as LABUBU, "Mom, Dad, I bought you both new gifts, I think you'll like them."
Madam Qin's expression froze for a moment. "A gift...? He Shi, I don't need anything. Give it all to your father!"
With that, she quickly stood up and fled the restaurant as if she were escaping.
Qin's father skipped breakfast and quickly left.
What a joke! They wouldn't dare accept Qin Heshi's gift so easily.
It wasn't some centuries-old giant python hunted in the deep mountains and forests, but rather some poisonous scorpion brought back from the cliffs and soaked in alcohol, or even some bloodstained tiger skin, or strange giant termites whose nests were taken back...
That's terrifying!
I really don't know where a normal college student gets all these bizarre things from every day that make people's scalps tingle and their whole body shudder.
Qin Heshi felt that they completely lacked appreciation.
She finished her breakfast slowly, then strolled leisurely around the garden before returning to her room and turning on her computer.
We have begun retrieving surveillance footage of the case that trended on social media last night.
The news reported blind spots in surveillance, but she didn't believe it; there must be loopholes and flaws.
And that victim girl, who will be disabled for life.
She lacks empathy, but that doesn't mean she doesn't understand those meanings.
She understands!
I understand perfectly!
Long, slender fingers tapped incessantly on the computer keyboard.
Not long after, Qin Heshi saw the scene of the girl being attacked at the elevator entrance.
The girl was waiting for the elevator when, almost without warning, a burly man suddenly appeared behind her and struck her hard on the back of the head with a hammer, knocking her unconscious.
She was carried and dragged away by the burly man and disappeared into the stairwell.
