Chapter 14 Jiang Taigong Fishing
Shi Yin was the one Han Zhan met the next morning.
It was dawn.
A light as pale as a fish belly slipped in from the window of the room, dazzling her eyes. Shi Yin opened her eyes, and her sleepy eyes reflected Han Zhan's slightly blurry face. At first, she thought she saw it wrongly, until the next second she heard his playful voice: "Good morning, honey, I haven't seen you for two days. Did you miss me?"
Shi Yin: “…”
She sat up holding the quilt, and before getting out of bed, she looked down at herself under the quilt. Her nightgown was above her knees and had sleeves, which covered her quite well. Then she put on her slippers with peace of mind, and then nodded and said hello to him obediently.
Han Zhan curled his lips and smiled.
She was so alert, as if he were some kind of monster that would swallow her up if she wasn't careful. He stood up from the leather sofa and walked towards her. His voice was as gentle as water, as if he was coaxing a child: "Honey, what do you want for breakfast? Caviar toast sandwich or oatmeal porridge?"
The distance is shortened.
As his towering figure pressed down, a pungent scent of feminine perfume reached Shi Yin's nose. She was sensitive to smells, and her physical aversion to it was too much to feign, as she instinctively frowned. But she reacted quickly, concealing the fleeting look of disdain.
Shi Yin raised his head and said in his favorite little white rabbit look, "Can I have some porridge?"
"My wife likes Chinese food, remember that."
"Thanks."
"So polite, why not give me a kiss as a token of your gratitude?" Han Zhan smiled and leaned towards her. Before he could even bend down, the woman in front of him took several steps back and headed towards the bathroom in panic. He laughed out loud, watching her fleeing figure, and gently warned her, "The tiled floor is slippery. Be careful when you walk. I'd be sorry if you fell."
The glass door slammed shut.
A few seconds later, Shi Yin's soft response came from inside.
Han Zhan stood there, his hands tucked into his waist moving lazily. He glanced at the matching wedding ring on his left ring finger when he heard a knock on the door. His personal butler came to inquire about breakfast. He said he would make Chinese food and added, "Send me a new set of clothes."
When Lu Cheng arrived, Han Zhan had just changed his clothes.
Glancing at the housekeeper who had just left after delivering breakfast, Lu Cheng stepped forward and asked, "I met with Jin Baili last night. How did the conversation go? Did she say she wanted to sell you the ruby ring?"
“I’m neither selling nor not selling.”
"What's the meaning?"
"Jin Baili is willing to sell, but there is a condition." Han Zhan casually buttoned up a few buttons of his shirt and took the champagne on the table. Just as he was about to drink it, the expression that flashed across Shi Yin's eyes when he approached her more than ten minutes ago emerged in his mind.
He met Ms. Kimberly in the early morning.
Drinking is inevitable when socializing.
Western women particularly like to use perfume. After staying there for three to five hours, he was almost pickled by the smell. For a moment, he couldn't tell whether the smell on his clothes was alcohol or the pungent perfume.
However, he did see Shi Yin's frowning expression.
She covered it up well.
Very fast.
However, his greatest advantage is his sharp eyes. Nothing can escape Young Master Han's eyes, and he can still easily capture her emotions. She must not be used to the smell of alcohol and perfume.
Seeing Han Zhan put down the wine glass, Lu Cheng said, "I picked this champagne specifically for you from the Royal Group's wine cellar. It's auction-quality wine. You've quit drugs, why don't you try it?"
Han Zhan: "I'm afraid of the smoke affecting her."
"Who is it?"
"My wife."
Lu Cheng was speechless.
Seeing this devilish and frivolous guy, it was clear that he often teased and toyed with Shi Yin like this in private. Lu Cheng couldn't help but feel a little sympathetic: "Shi Yin is different from the socialites in the circle. Don't always bully her. I ran into her in the cabin yesterday. She was quite concerned about you. The first thing she said to me was you."
Han Zhan leaned on the sofa: "If she mentioned you in the first sentence, wouldn't I be furious?"
"You are sick."
"Yes, I love my wife so deeply that there's no cure. I can't explain it to someone like you who's been single since birth."
"Heh, Shi Yin's greatest luck is that she can live safely until you two agree to divorce." Lu Cheng wasn't saying anything bad about him, but Han Zhan was just that mean. Lu Cheng stopped joking with him and got back to the point: "So, what did Jin Baili ask for?"
"She asked me to help find someone."
"Looking for someone?"
"She believes that the mermaid skirt that Shi's Enterprise tailored for her three months ago was not made by the in-house designer, Shi Qinghe. She wants to meet the real designer of the mermaid skirt."
"That's a bit unreasonable." Lu Cheng complained, then thought about it and came up with an idea: "Why don't you go back to the capital and find your father-in-law, Chairman Shi? Maybe he will do you a favor for the sake of the Han family."
Han Zhan seemed to be lost in thought.
Lu Cheng thought he had adopted his proposal. Just as he was about to say something else, he heard him speak: "Do you think that after he finds out that I used unconventional means to trick the daughter who was supposed to marry into the Song family, will he do me a favor for the sake of the Han family, or will he lose his mind and stab me a few times?"
Lu Cheng coughed twice.
Shut up completely.
Shi Yin and Song Sinian are an engaged couple and will soon marry into the Song family.
Although she was disliked by her parents and hated by everyone, the Song family had chosen her. She was the Song family's wife, and she was an inestimable asset to the entire Shi family. Now that Han Zhan had snatched her away, if Chairman Shi knew about it, let alone calming down and communicating with Han Zhan, he would have been giving the Han family face by not killing him.
The bathroom door is now open.
Seeing Shi Yin, the two of them paused the conversation in tacit understanding. Lu Cheng greeted her with a smile, "The housekeeper has brought breakfast. I'd like to take a seat and eat with you and your wife. Do you mind, Miss Shi?"
"You are too polite, Mr. Lu."
"Miss Shi is really generous. Han Zhan is so lucky to marry such a good wife like you. It is really a blessing from his ancestors."
The corners of Shi Yin's lips twitched.
She subconsciously turned her head to look at Han Zhan, who was leaning against the back of the sofa. The man's expression remained unchanged, and he showed no sign of anger. Shi Yin then walked over with confidence, placed her phone screen up on the dining table, and pulled out a chair to sit down.
The meal was very quiet.
No one spoke.
The phone on the table, with its screen lit up, was particularly eye-catching. Lu Cheng turned his head first, immediately catching sight of the hand-drawn design for the fishtail skirt.
