Chapter 58 Like My Dream Lover

Chapter 58 Like My Dream Lover

The noise in the corridor disturbed Shi Yin's thoughts.

She came to her senses.

I simply sent a message to Molly and left the ward.

Pulling open the half-closed door, they saw a bustling crowd outside, led by Shi Tianhong. They were carrying supplements and said they were worried about Han Zhan's health and had come to visit. The security guard at the door stopped them from entering, saying, "Mr. Han needs to rest. Wait until he wakes up and nods for you to come in before we can let you in."

Finished.

The security guard caught a glimpse of Shi Yin's figure and immediately bowed respectfully: "Miss Shi."

One moment, he was assertive, the next, he was submissive. His attitude shifted so quickly that it stunned everyone around him. It was only then that Shi Tianhong noticed Shi Yin's presence. He hurried over, looking her up and down with a feigned look of distress. With tears in his eyes, he remarked on how worried his parents were about her, and thankfully, she was safe.

Someone hurried over from behind and reported, "Director Shi, the police station called and said the young lady is overly emotional and has a tendency to self-harm. Would you like to go over and take a look?"

"She deserves to be punished for her mistakes!"

"The eldest lady has been crying and calling for you and Madam."

Shi Tianhong pursed his lips.

Looking at Shi Yin again, the little bit of pretended heartache disappeared. He patted Shi Yin's shoulder and said softly, "Yin Yin, you have been a sensible child since you were young. You never let your parents worry about anything. Qinghe has a bad leg and a bad temper. If he does something bad at the police station, it will ruin our Shi family's reputation. So, Dad will go there first, and you should have a good rest."

Shi Tianhong left.

The person holding the pile of gifts followed and left.

The long corridor suddenly became silent. The cold white light fell on Shi Yin, illuminating her calm eyes. She watched Shi Tianhong's departing back, her steps hastening, wishing she could dash to Shi Qinghe's side and carry out her unwavering love.

The security guard whispered, "Miss Shi, Mr. Han, please come in."

Shi Yin turned her head suddenly, "Is he awake?"

"Awake."

"When did you wake up?"

"He woke up shortly after you left, and a few minutes ago he told us to knock on your door to see if you had finished washing up. If you had, he would be waiting for you to come back and tell him a story."

Shi Yin: “…”

She pushed the door open and entered the house.

Han Zhan sat leaning against the headboard of the hospital bed, a needle for an IV dripping into his body. He wore a blue and white hospital gown, his hair drooping in front of his forehead, less aggressive than usual. At first glance, he looked rather sickly weak, unusually docile.

Under his staring gaze, Shi Yin walked towards the bedside, poured a cup of warm water by the coffee table, and handed it to him: "I usually go to bed after washing up."

I won't come to see him.

Nor will I continue to tell fairy tales.

Shi Yin didn't say these two words, but Han Zhan heard them. He took the water she handed him, and although he wasn't thirsty, he raised his head and drank several sips. With his head raised, he looked at her with his handsome face: "Because my wife has a kind heart."

Hurt for her.

She will take responsibility to the end.

Otherwise, her uneasy conscience would keep her awake at night and unable to eat or sleep.

Having her thoughts guessed, Shi Yin rolled her eyes at him silently. She walked to the bedside table, picked up the unfinished fairy tale, sat on the chair she had been sitting on before, and said as she flipped through the pages, "Someone came to visit you, carrying something with them. It was quite a big deal."

"I heard it."

"Why didn't we meet?"

"I don't like him."

"He is nominally your father-in-law."

"You can't even be your father, and you still want to be my father-in-law?" Han Zhan leaned closer to her, gazing at his wife's beautiful eyes and smiling, "Wife, are you really the biological daughter of the Shi family couple?"

"What's wrong?"

"It doesn't look like it."

Shi Yin raised her eyes.

Facing the man's tender peach blossom eyes up close, she heard him say, "Shi Tianhong and Cheng Lan are of average looks, and Shi Qinghe isn't good-looking either, but you're exceptionally beautiful. You have delicate features, fair skin, and are quite tall. There's not a single flaw in your body. Was there a Buddha's light shining upon you when you were born? You're so perfect you don't seem alive."

"I look like a dead person?"

"Like my dream girl."

Shi Yin: “…”

Strictly speaking, rolling your eyes wasn't very polite, and it didn't suit the image of a high-class socialite. Shi Yin had never done this before, until she was with Han Zhan, often left speechless. Rolling her eyes was the highest form of respect she could show him.

She deliberately ignored it.

He lowered his head and turned the pages of the book silently.

However, Han Er was very good at talking and had a very good attitude. Even if he was deliberately ignored, he could still chatter on and on. Strings of words kept pouring into her ears, talking about everything. In the end, he came close to her with a playful smile and said, "Wife, do you want to make snow cake tomorrow?"

“No.”

"Then I'll eat it the day after tomorrow."

“Not lately.”

"Okay, then when I recover and get out of the hospital, I'll make it for you."

Shi Yin raised her eyes and met his smiling black eyes. She could clearly see the look of success in his eyes. In line with his words, her face was cold, but in fact she was a kind person. She would repay tenfold if others gave more than she deserved, let alone if they were hurt because of her.

Shi Yin retracted her gaze and said, "I've got some free time these past two days."

Han Zhan: "I just know that my wife loves me."

She ignored him.

He turned to the labeled page and continued reading the story according to the text. After reading a few sentences, Han Zhan said, "Change the story, wife. You've already told Ah Xiu about this."

Read to me the story you read to the dog.

Then I would become a dog?

Shi Yin indulged him and turned a few pages to read the story of "The Little Mermaid". However, before she was halfway through, she was interrupted by the Second Young Master Han: "Wife, change to another one. This story about an unfaithful man is too unlucky."

Shi Yin tightened her grip.

I glanced at the IV tube above me. He was a patient, so I didn't bother with him.

She changed the chapter again.

This time, the story is about the well-known "Snow White". We have heard it since childhood. It is a fairy tale that everyone can tell a few words about. Han Er can't be picky anymore, right?

Shi Yin was wrong.

Before he even finished reading the opening of the story, Han Zhan started talking: "Snow White's enemy is her stepmother. It's because her father cheated on her that she has a stepmother. She is essentially an unlucky and unfaithful man. If her wife doesn't—"

Han Zhan didn't say anything.

When I opened my eyes, I met Shi Yin's gloomy eyes.

He stopped talking in time, smiled and moved closer to Shi Yin, using his pale handsome face to repeatedly jump on Shi Yin's endurance point: "Wife, you won't hit me, right?"
