Chapter 95 Respond to Me, Wife
Shi Yin opened her eyes.
My head feels heavy.
The things in sight are not very clear yet.
The light on the hanging beam had fuzzy edges. She looked left and right, realized something, sat up straight, and looked at herself carefully.
Change clothes.
Not the dress I had custom-made at Scre.
It was a silk nightgown.
There were no marks on her body, and apart from a headache and a slight nausea, she felt no other discomfort. Shi Yin threw back the quilt and got out of bed. Her feet landed on the ground, and she stumbled a few steps due to her unstable center of gravity.
She held onto the soft edge of the bed.
Stand firm.
He walked straight towards the door.
The door was ajar. As she approached, she heard Han Er's familiar voice from the hall outside. This voice was different from the gentle and doting voice he usually gave her. It was colder, but she knew it was him the moment she heard it.
He sat on the black leather sofa.
There was a doctor standing next to him.
With her back to Shi Yin, from her perspective, she could only see his side profile in the light and shadow. Coupled with his cool-toned clothing, for a moment he seemed to blend in with the darkness outside the window, looking cold and eerie.
"When can you wake up?" Han Zhan asked.
"Second Young Master, you used physical methods to cool that young lady down in time. I gave her another injection of medicine, and since she didn't take much alcohol, she should wake up in about half an hour."
"Which lady?"
"In the room—"
"That's my wife."
"Sorry, Second Master."
"What are the side effects of drinking the drugged wine and the medicine you injected?" Han Zhan asked again.
"Madam, your constitution is a little weak. You may experience a loss of appetite, drowsiness, and frequent dreams for a period of time. Take good care of yourself and rest for a while and you'll be fine."
Another person came into the box.
Lu Cheng walked over quickly, gave the doctor a look, asking him to leave, then pulled a chair and sat opposite Han Zhan, saying, "I've found out everything."
"Shi Qinghe bribed several waiters at the wedding banquet hotel to prepare the laced wine in advance and serve it to Song Sinian after Mr. Song's speech."
"Who knew that by some strange mistake, Song Sinian was hanging around Shi Yin at that time. The waiter brought the wine over, but Shi Yin took the wrong one and took the one that was meant for Song Sinian."
"Shi Qinghe is really interesting. She drugged her husband at her own wedding. Even if she wanted to enter the bridal chamber, she shouldn't be so eager, right? I really don't understand."
Han Zhan sneered, "Her brain is not fully developed, and her cerebellum is not developed at all. How can you understand?"
Lu Cheng: "Could it be that her relationship with Song Sinian is not good, and she wants to have a child as soon as possible to consolidate her position?"
"You understand again?"
"I read a romance novel a few days ago, and it was exactly about this."
Han Zhan glanced at him.
Lu Cheng ignored his disdainful look and persisted in his own reasoning: "But wasn't she pregnant? I understand. She faked her pregnancy. The Song couple spent a huge amount of money to get her out of the detention center for the sake of their grandson."
"Now that the banquet hall has become such a mess, Shi Qinghe is finished. Her dream of becoming a noble lady is probably completely shattered. However, Shi Qinghe has no taste. Why did she fall for Song Sinian and not you?"
Han Zhan: "Are you mentally ill?"
Lu Cheng shrugged. "I'm right. Doesn't Shi Qinghe just like to steal her sister Shi Yin's things? You and Song Sinian are both Shi Yin's. In terms of family background, you come from the Han family, the head of the eight major families in Beijing, which is several levels higher than him. In terms of personal ability, he is a small vice president who hasn't even gained a firm foothold in the Song family. How can he compare to you in--"
Bang!
There was a sudden sound of something falling.
Interrupted Lu Cheng's words.
The two looked in the direction of the sound. There was no light at the half-open door of the bedroom, but Han Zhan carefully caught a glimpse of his wife's fleeting figure as she quickly hid behind the wall.
"What's broken?" Lu Cheng stood up to see.
Han Zhan got up first.
Blocked his way.
"Go and do your own thing." Han Zhan said.
"Everything has been investigated, what else should I be busy with?"
“Bang, bang!”
There were several knocks on the box door.
The door is open.
Meng Xi stood outside.
Seeing Han Zhan, the woman timidly took two steps back and didn't dare to go in. Glancing at her figure, Lu Cheng immediately picked up his coat on the back of the chair and ran away: "My business has come, I'll leave first."
"Where are you going?"
"Uncle Meng has gotten much better. Meng Xi said he wanted to repay me and invited me to dinner." Lu Cheng glanced at his friend and said, "Don't be so nice to Shi Yin. Be nicer to other girls too. Look how scared Meng Xi is of you. No one dares to come in when you're in the room."
Lu Cheng left quickly.
With the sound of the door closing, the figure disappeared in an instant.
Han Zhan glanced in the direction he was going, then withdrew his gaze and walked towards the bedroom. He wasn't like central air conditioning, so his good temper and good face were naturally only for his wife.
As for outsiders.
Friendly, he is polite and courteous.
He killed the enemy.
This was Han Zhan's consistent approach to life, and Lu Cheng was well aware of it. Why did he ask Meng Xi to be more gentle? Had he read too many romance novels and was ready for something more practical?
besides.
What does it mean that Song Sinian and he are both Shi Yin's things?
Song Sinian is nothing.
Only he, Han Zhan, belongs to Shi Yin.
…
This way.
The sound of the lamp suddenly falling from the bedside table startled Shi Yin.
She glanced at the light.
Subconsciously looked outside the door.
Seeing Lu Cheng and Han Zhan turn their heads, she immediately ducked and hid behind the wall. The bedroom was only dimly lit by a sleeping light, so they probably didn't see her.
Shi Yin took a few deep breaths.
I walked to the bedside and picked up the fallen lamp. Then I walked to the window and closed the glass against the strong wind blowing in from outside. The wind was so strong, it must be raining heavily.
"Are you awake, wife?"
A sound echoed in the silent room.
Shi Yin suddenly froze.
Turn around and look.
Seeing Han Zhan push the door open and walk slowly towards her, there was lightning outside the window, shining in, and the flickering light fell on his tall figure and three-dimensional facial features.
A scene suddenly emerged in Shi Yin's mind.
She drank the glass of wine, listened to Mr. Song's speech, and then left the banquet hall to go to the bathroom. While chatting with Mo Li, her limbs suddenly became weak, and she couldn't stand steadily, leaning against the person coming from behind.
The man has a magnetic voice.
Very familiar.
Especially the word "wife" that she was used to hearing. Even when she was unconscious, she could rely on this word to know that the person standing behind her was Han Zhan.
He is talking.
Said a lot of nonsense.
Under the double pressure of impatience and physical discomfort, she held the other person's face, stood on tiptoe and kissed the mouth that kept opening and closing, swallowing all his unfinished words into her stomach.
Thinking of this, Shi Yin suddenly looked up. The slightly blurry face in her mind overlapped with Han Zhan's clear face in front of her. As he approached, his facial features gradually magnified in her almond-shaped eyes.
Her eyes fixed on his face.
Thick black eyebrows.
Deep eyes.
High nose bridge.
And those thin lips with a slightly red hue.
All the memories, from the corridor to the private room and the bathroom, rushed into Shi Yin's mind like a tide, and every scene was vivid. She pursed her lips and curled her hands behind her back.
She took advantage of Han Zhan.
She flirted with Han Zhan.
As the distance shortened, Shi Yin looked up at the handsome face of the man above her and asked tentatively, "Han Zhan, is there anything you want recently?"
"Compensate me?"
"Well, thank you too."
"Please help me think about it." Han Zhan said.
Shi Yin nodded and pondered over some items recently auctioned. After thinking for a while, she finally had an idea. She looked up and was about to tell him, but just as she opened her mouth, a shadow fell without warning. Han Zhan held her face and kissed her lips.
I didn't feel any movement for a long time.
Han Er kissed her and opened his eyes, only to see her almond-shaped eyes wide open and fixed there. This look was very cute in his eyes. Han Zhan was amused by her and deliberately sucked her lips hard. Shi Yin came back to her senses with pain. When she raised her eyes, she heard his bewitching voice: "Answer me, my wife."
