Chapter 197 Evelyn, Caught Max

"Bang—" Max kicked over the chair, staggered to his feet holding onto the dining table, his eyes blazing with rage, "Ivis, I'm your dad!"

Almost instantly, he understood why Elvis did this. It must be Evelyn who asked him to do this.

Between his family and himself, he chose the family business.

Good, very good, he is worthy of being Max’s son!

Glancing at his incredulous and angry expression, Elvis stood up from his seat, a look of apology flashing across his blue eyes.

"Max, blame yourself if you want to. It's your own selfishness that has led to this situation. I don't want my family to lose their lives because of this."

"Heh..." Max, suppressing his dizziness, taunted, "Do you think Evelyn will let you go? No, she won't, Elvis, she won't let you go..."

His tone was so firm that Elvis was momentarily shaken.

Max took advantage of his hesitation, quickly pulled out his pistol, and shot Elvis in the shoulder with a "bang", then took the opportunity to run outside.

"Catch him!" Elvis covered his wound in pain and shouted.

The bodyguards in the manor, arrest him immediately.

At this time, night had fallen, there were no stars or moon in the sky, and everything around became dim and hazy.

Elvis gritted his teeth and ran to the door of the villa, and ordered the bodyguards in the manor again, "You can shoot, regardless of life or death."

Evelyn only asked him to hand the person over to her, but did not say that it had to be alive.

Sooner or later, we're all going to die anyway.

After the order was given, the bodyguards no longer had any scruples. They drew their guns and sped up to chase towards the backyard of the manor.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

In the howling windy night, a burst of loud gunfire was heard.

Max was drugged and the more he ran, the weaker he felt. His legs felt like they were filled with lead and he couldn't lift them.

While contacting his men, he looked for green plants as cover to avoid bullets.

A few hundred meters to the west is the white Roman column wall.

He could leave by just climbing over the wall; his car was outside.

Just these few hundred meters seem so far away at this moment.

The dim light in the manor flickered, his vision went dark, and his body fell to the ground involuntarily.

Damn it! Max cursed in his heart.

"It's in this direction! Hurry!" The sound of hurried footsteps came from the eight o'clock direction. Max took a deep breath and bit his lips hard with his teeth.

The sweet and fishy taste of blood spread in his mouth, and the sharp pain made his mind clearer and restored some strength.

He picked up a few stones at his feet, poked his head out from the greenery, and looked out. He saw more than 20 tall black figures approaching him carefully and quickly.

Max gripped the stone tightly and threw it with all his strength towards a clump of green plants that was separated from him.

The next second, a burst of gunfire rang out, "Over there!"

The bodyguards turned and surrounded another clump of green plants. Max took off his shoes and ran quickly in the opposite direction.

"Behind!" Max had already run a hundred meters when he heard the noise.

A slight sound of breaking air was heard in his ears. He suddenly lunged forward and rolled on the ground. After dodging the bullet, he quickly got up and continued to run while looking for cover.

Finally, he climbed up to the top of the Roman column wall which was less than two meters high.

"Bang!" A bullet hit his calf while he was climbing over the wall. Max couldn't help but groan.

But he didn't stop, and tried his best to climb over the wall.

The moment he turned over, he breathed a sigh of relief and escaped.

Unexpectedly, the next moment, several cold gun muzzles were pointed at his head and heart.

Four tall women in camouflage combat uniforms seemed to have been waiting here for a long time, waiting for him to climb over the wall and then catch him.

"Max, long time no see." Claire whistled, holding a hemp rope in her hand.

Max's eyes darkened and he raised his hand to draw his gun, but he was fast, and the female agents were even faster. In a flash, they knocked the gun out of his hand and tied him up.

After they had tied them up in no time, the bodyguards in the manor caught up with them. When they climbed over the wall and saw someone outside, they immediately became alert.

Alana spoke up in time, "Don't shoot, we're on the same side. We were sent by Evelyn to capture this man. Go back and tell Elvis we've taken him away."

The bodyguards looked at each other in bewilderment. Who was Evelyn? How did she become one of their own?

"We must capture this man." The bodyguard captain spoke.

"Stop talking nonsense." Annie said impatiently, "Why don't you just call your Elvis?"

The bodyguard captain rolled his eyes, took out his cell phone and called Elvis.

After getting Elvis's approval, the captain waved to everyone and said, "Go back. Sir, you can let them take it away."

After sending the bodyguard away, Jill knocked Max unconscious with the butt of his gun and said with a smile, "It's us who have to do it. That loser Elvis can't catch this rat at all."

Annie smiled back and picked up the intercom. "The target has been apprehended. Retreat immediately! I repeat, the target has been apprehended. Retreat immediately!"

"Group 2 received, Group 2 received." The one who answered was Bella. She, Joanna, Alison, and several armed soldiers were lying in ambush outside the front yard wall.

Evelyn expected that Elvis would sacrifice his own family for the sake of justice, so she asked them to ambush at the front and back doors of the manor.

After catching him for so long, he was finally caught.

Bella called Tang Xili who was far away in Penang Island, Malaysia, "Evelyn, Max has been caught."

"Bring him here."

——

Outside the backyard wall, Alana and Annie carried the unconscious Max towards the black armored vehicle across the street.

Just as she was about to reach the armored vehicle, suddenly, a bullet flew through the air and hit Alana in the back of the heart.

Her ears twitched and she suddenly turned her body to the side, and the bullet deflected and hit her arm.

"There's a sniper!" Alana whispered, and she and Annie quickly moved Max in front of them as a meat shield.

Jill, who was sitting behind them, suddenly had a change of expression and immediately opened the back door. "Get in!" She said as she got in from the back seat, moved nimbly to the driver's seat, and started the car.

With Max acting as a human shield, Alana got into the car first, followed by Annie. After she got in, she dragged Max into the car and quickly closed the door.

Now Claire was the only one outside the car, and she was running towards the passenger seat.

Another bullet came flying at her, she dodged nimbly, the bullet grazed her arm and got stuck in the trunk of a big tree on the side of the road.

"Oh shit," Claire screamed, "I've been shot!"

She opened the car door and got into the passenger seat while cursing.

Jill sat in the driver's seat, lowered the window a little, and placed the muzzle of the gun in the window gap, waiting for the sniper to take action and determine the opponent's position.

When the second shot was fired, she shot at a big tree not far away.

"Bang!" A black shadow fell to the ground.

At the same time, a sniper grenade blasted towards their car—
