After dinner, Gu Yunxi noticed that Gu Yuanzhi and her classmates were still in high spirits and seemed reluctant to leave. She thought, since everyone was having so much fun today, why not make this weekend even more memorable? So she suggested, "There's a movie theater nearby that's showing some really good movies recently. If you're interested, I'll treat you to a movie."
Gu Yuanzhi's eyes lit up, and she immediately expressed her support: "That's great, sister! What do you classmates think?"
The students responded enthusiastically, all expressing their willingness to join. And so, the group marched off to the movie theater in a grand procession.
Upon arriving at the cinema, Gu Yunxi asked everyone to choose the movie they wanted to see. They discussed it enthusiastically in front of the posters and finally reached a consensus, choosing a recently popular youth comedy.
Gu Yunxi bought enough movie tickets and led everyone into the screening room. She made sure everyone found a comfortable seat and prepared popcorn and drinks for everyone.
The lights gradually dimmed, and the movie began. As the plot unfolded, bursts of laughter frequently erupted in the theater. Gu Yunxi felt very satisfied watching everyone immersed in the joy brought by the movie.
After the movie ended, everyone walked out of the theater, excitedly discussing the plot and jokes. Gu Yuanzhi held Gu Yunxi's hand and said gratefully, "Sister, I had so much fun today, thank you!"
Gu Yunxi responded gently, "It's nothing, as long as you're happy. We'll hang out together again sometime in the future."
The students also expressed their gratitude to Gu Yunxi. They were deeply impressed by Gu Yunxi's warm hospitality and were envious of the friendship between Gu Yunxi and the Gu Yuanzhi sisters.
After the movie ended, Gu Yuanzhi's classmates felt both happy and a little embarrassed. They surrounded Gu Yunxi, their faces beaming with shy smiles, and expressed their gratitude.
A female student spoke first, her voice gentle and slightly shy: "Sister Yunxi, thank you for your hospitality today. We had a lot of fun."
Another male student chimed in, "Yes, the meal and the movie were fantastic. We were really happy to have this opportunity."
The other students nodded in agreement, each expressing their gratitude to Gu Yunxi in their own way. Their faces beamed with genuine appreciation, yet they were also somewhat shy about expressing it more fully.
Looking at these young faces, Gu Yunxi felt a surge of warmth in her heart. She smiled and replied, "You're welcome. I'm very happy to have spent such a pleasant weekend with everyone. You're welcome to come again anytime."
Gu Yuanzhi stood to the side, watching her sister interact with her classmates, feeling incredibly proud. She interjected, "That's just how my sister is; she's always so considerate."
The students thanked Gu Yunxi again, then said goodbye to the Gu Yunxi and Gu Yuanzhi sisters and went home. As they left, they turned back to wave from time to time, expressing their reluctance to part with this wonderful day.
Gu Yunxi and Gu Yuanzhi watched their classmates leave until they disappeared from sight. Gu Yunxi turned to Gu Yuanzhi and said, "Your friends are all very polite and grateful."
Gu Yuanzhi replied with a smile, "Yes, they are all my best friends at school. Sister, you must be tired today too, go home and get some rest."
When Gu Yunxi and Gu Yuanzhi returned home, night had already fallen. The houselight shone through the windows, casting a warm glow on the path in front of the door. The two sisters walked in with light steps, their weariness from the day unable to conceal their inner satisfaction and joy.
Hearing the noise at the door, Xia Liang came out of the living room to greet them, asking with concern, "Yunxi, Yuanzhi, you're back? How was your day?"
Gu Yunxi smiled and replied, "Mom, we had a lot of fun today. We took my sister's classmates out for dinner and then watched a movie. Everyone was very happy."
Gu Yuanzhi excitedly added, "Yes, Mom, the restaurant my sister took us to was delicious, and the movie theater was great too."
Xia Liang nodded in satisfaction, happy that her daughters were able to enjoy such a wonderful time: "That's good. Seeing you all so happy makes me happy too."
Gu Yanxiao also came downstairs and heard his daughters' conversation. He smiled and said, "Yunxi, you've worked hard today. You're not only busy with business at the mall, but you also have to take care of your sister's classmate."
Gu Yunxi shook her head, indicating that she didn't mind: "Dad, it's nothing. I'm also happy to share happiness with everyone."
Xia Liang turned to Gu Yuanzhi: "Yuanzhi, have all your classmates gone home? How did they have fun today?"
Gu Yuanzhi nodded: "They've all gone home, Mom. They all said they had a lot of fun today, and they asked me to give them their regards to you and Dad."
Gu Yanxiao and Xia Liang both laughed when they heard this. They were proud that their daughter was liked and respected by her classmates.
Afterwards, Gu Yunxi and Gu Yuanzhi went upstairs to their room. Gu Yunxi sat on the edge of the bed, took off her shoes, and relaxed after a long day. She said to Gu Yuanzhi, "Little sister, you and your friends had a great time today, and I'm glad I was able to provide for you."
Gu Yuanzhi looked at her sister gratefully: "Sister, thank you. You always take such good care of me."
The two sisters chatted in their room for a while, sharing their experiences and feelings of the day. As the night deepened, they said goodnight to each other and drifted off to sleep, filled with contentment and fond memories of the day.
