Song Yi listened, but laughed dismissively, "Shen Mingzhuang, you won't kill me. You're not that kind of person, so don't pretend to be heartless."
Shen Mingzhuang originally just wanted to scare him, but hearing these words aroused his fighting spirit.
"I'm not that kind of person, so what kind of person do you think I am?"
As Shen Mingzhuang spoke, he exerted force with his hand, and the blade immediately sank into Song Yi's skin. Song Yi groaned, and only then did a slight ripple appear in his heart.
"Shen Mingzhuang, I've been quite honest with you, and this is how you treat me? Do you think you've done right by me?"
"I'm sorry to you? I can only apologize. After all, I still have to live. I can't be like you, using any means to achieve my goals. But today I want to try it out and see what it feels like."
"Shen Mingzhuang, I swear to God, as long as I am the one sitting in that position, you can still be your empress."
"Song Yi, I used to treat you like a human being, but now it seems I overestimated you. What do you take me for? As a reward for ascending the throne?"
Shen Mingzhuang was provoked by his words, and her voice became cold as she pushed the knife deeper until she felt the warm, bloody smell on her hand gripping Song Yi's neck. Only then did she come to her senses and loosen her grip.
"In the end, you still can't bear to kill me."
Song Yi coughed twice, wiped the blood from his neck, his clothes were already stained red with blood. Footsteps came from the tent entrance, and soon someone came in, it was his junior lieutenant Tan Jiang.
When Tan Jiang saw the scene in front of him, he was so frightened that he froze.
"It's alright, go out first, and don't make a sound."
Shen Mingzhuang stood sideways in a spot where Tan Jiang couldn't see her. If he dared to make a sound, she wouldn't mind getting another person's blood on her hands.
Tan Jiang, seeing no one else around, hesitated and asked, "General, have you been attacked?"
Song Yi frowned and looked at Tan Jiang. "I said I'm fine, you can go out now."
Upon hearing this, Tan Jiang felt even more uncertain. Unsure of the situation, he dared not say anything more and turned to leave.
Once the person had walked away, Shen Mingzhuang went over, casually tugged at Song Yi's sleeve, and skillfully bandaged Song Yi's wound.
"You'd better learn your lesson and not provoke me again. Next time, I can't guarantee I won't be able to control myself. You're lucky this time."
Seeing her expression, Song Yi couldn't help but laugh.
Why are you doing this to yourself?
Shen Mingzhuang rolled her eyes at him. "Shouldn't I be the one saying that to you?"
Song Yi shrugged and gave a dismissive smirk. “Go easy on me. You look so delicate and gentle. Where did you learn your kung fu? You’re more fierce than any man. If you ask me, you shouldn’t be a worshipped empress in the palace. You should be born a man and fight on the battlefield.”
Shen Mingzhuang couldn't help but laugh upon hearing this. "What, do you think I can't kill you like this?"
Then, as if remembering something, he couldn't help but laugh sarcastically, "Song Yi, don't think I'm joking with you. If you insist on going this way, when the day comes that we're facing each other with swords drawn, I will not hesitate to take your head, believe it or not."
As Song Yi listened, his expression gradually calmed down.
He lowered his eyes, and the light in them gradually faded.
Of course he would believe it; he couldn't help but believe it. This woman was no ordinary woman; even he might not be able to beat her in terms of skill. When that day came, he wasn't sure he could escape her clutches.
But how could he possibly be willing to give up his years of planning? Song Yi looked up at Shen Mingzhuang, who at that moment looked like a porcelain doll, bending down to bandage his wound.
What's so good about Jiang Wang?
Shen Mingzhuang was stunned for a moment, then laughed, "What's so good about him? What does it have to do with you? In my eyes, he's excellent."
Song Yi couldn't help but laugh as he listened.
"Why is there no woman who is as devoted to me as I am?"
Song Yi sighed, letting out a long breath, and looked at Shen Mingzhuang, "You really cut deep with that knife."
"That's why I'm telling you not to think I'm joking with you. I hate joking with people the most."
Shen Mingzhuang took out a handkerchief to wipe her hands, but the smell of blood still lingered. When Song Yi saw her like this, he was a little confused: "What, have you never been in contact with human blood before? Your kung fu is quite good."
"Who told you that skilled kung fu masters climbed over corpses to get here?"
Song Yi remained silent, then turned and had someone bring in water.
Thank you.
Shen Mingzhuang washed his hands and said "thank you" in a somewhat stiff voice.
After washing her hands, she felt a little better.
"I have something to ask you."
Shen Mingzhuang wiped the water off his hands and looked at Song Yi. "I'm asking you, do you know He Wenshi?"
"He Wenshi?" A look of surprise flashed in Song Yi's eyes, clearly not expecting Shen Mingzhuang to know about He Wenshi.
"He Wenshi has long since gone into seclusion. What do you want with her?"
"Enough with the nonsense, just tell me whether you know or not."
Song Yi frowned and sat on the edge of the cot. "How can you ask for favors like this? You're so arrogant just because you're pretty."
"Are you unhappy with the symmetrical cut on your neck? I'm not busy right now, I can make another cut to make it symmetrical for you."
