Chapter 8 Xiao Ling'er rescues others (2/2)

"Please leave immediately!" The guard was ruthless and half-drawn his sword to block Xiao Ling'er, threatening and driving her away in a harsh voice.

Xiao Ling'er frowned, finally sighed and looked at the girl with reluctance, then turned around and planned to evacuate.

A pleasant male voice suddenly came: "Let her in!"

When the cold-faced guard heard the order from his master, he moved to the side and made way for a small path.

Xiao Ling'er rushed in like a gust of wind, and without any hesitation, she picked up the girl from the young man's arms and began to perform the Heimlich maneuver.

The beautiful woman subconsciously wanted to reach out to stop him, but the young man shook his head and stopped her.

Every second counts in the rescue. Xiao Ling'er is focused and holds the girl from behind, performing first aid step by step.

The surroundings became quiet, and everyone was nervous, watching Xiao Ling'er's actions with tension and anticipation.

However, Xiao Ling'er had no strength at all because this body had been hungry for too long. After a short while, she was so exhausted that she could not move.

"Teach me, let me do it!" A familiar male voice sounded in Xiao Ling'er's ears.

Xiao Ling'er glanced at the man, and without hesitation, she stuffed the girl into his arms and began to follow the instructions of the tutorial -

"Raise your right fist, bend your thumb toward your abdomen, and clench your left fist. Press quickly inward and upward on her abdomen, two finger widths away."

The man was very active and acted according to Xiao Ling'er's instructions.

Xiao Ling'er was a little surprised when she saw the man's standard movements. If she didn't know that this was ancient times, she would never have known that this was his first time using the Heimlich maneuver.

Soon the girl spat out a piece of candy from her mouth, and then burst into tears with a "wow".

"Xuanxuan, my Xuanxuan." The beautiful woman immediately took the girl in her arms. The joy of regaining her lost child made her hold her tightly, fearing that the person in her arms would disappear if she let go.

"Madam, please don't hold her so tightly. It will affect her breathing." Xiao Ling'er couldn't help but remind her.

When the beautiful woman heard Xiao Ling'er's voice, she immediately handed the girl in her arms to the maid beside her, stood up and was about to kneel down to Xiao Ling'er.

"Madam, there's no need to do this!" Xiao Ling'er quickly reached out and stopped the woman who was about to kneel.

"Miss, thank you, thank you for saving my Xuanxuan. From now on, you are our Gu family's savior.

Come, take fifty kilograms from the carriage..."

The beautiful woman was stopped by Xiao Ling'er from kneeling down to express her gratitude, but she kept saying thank you. However, she was interrupted by her son before she could finish her words.

"Ahem, mother, please carry Xuanxuan to the carriage and wait. Ahem, don't worry, I won't treat our savior badly."

Xiao Ling'er raised her eyes and met a pair of eyes as gentle as jade, with a hint of gratitude.

The man had a handsome face that was so beautiful that it infuriated both humans and gods. His skin was as white as snow, without a trace of blood. It was obvious at first glance that it was not the skin color of a normal person.

Yes, the man was wearing a blue robe under the scorching sun. He couldn't be a normal person with such attire.

However, this man had two completely different temperaments at the same time.

He seems gentle and refined, but in fact he exudes a sense of indifference and alienation, as if no one can really get close to his heart.

The other type carries a fatal allure, appearing weak and soft, shaky, and giving the illusion that they are easy to bully and rub, and can be pounced on at any time. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
