In a bandit's den thirty miles away from Jianzhou, Xiao Ling'er had just finished dealing with the last den and was about to head back to Misty Village when she suddenly felt a panic in her heart.
Xiao Ling'er subconsciously bent down and put her hand on her chest, beads of sweat appearing on her forehead. She had never felt so panicked before.
[Host, host, what's wrong with you?] 009 noticed something was wrong with Xiao Ling'er and asked anxiously and worriedly.
"Go back, go back quickly, I'm very nervous." Xiao Ling'er stood up and used her lightness skills to rush home as fast as possible.
Three hours later, the sky was already pitch dark and Xiao Ling'er arrived at the entrance of Misty Village.
The village seemed very quiet tonight. Xiao Ling'er held her breath and listened carefully. Steady breathing sounds came from the first, second and third houses at the entrance of the village.
Xiao Ling'er felt a little relieved, but the panic and palpitations in her heart did not subside. She suppressed the panic and hurried home.
Finding the house quiet, Xiao Ling'er quickly walked to Mu Xiya's bedroom, but the bed was empty.
Xiao Ling'er hurried to the basement and called out tentatively in a low voice: "Mom?" There was no other sound except the echo.
There was no sign of Mu Xiya inside or outside, and there were no signs of fighting.
Xiao Ling'er went to Ren Yanran's house. Like Mu Xiya, there was no sign of Ren Yanran and Hanhan inside or outside.
[Host, are you alright?] 009 found Xiao Ling'er's silence eerily quiet.
Xiao Ling'er didn't answer. She walked out of Ren Yanran's house, released Grape, and calmly instructed: "Grape, find my mother and Sister Yanran."
Grape looked at Xiao Ling'er, with human-like worry in his eyes, and then he sniffed the air very seriously.
He took a last look at Xiao Ling'er and ran out of the village. Xiao Ling'er quickly followed.
The eastern skyline was turning pale as a fish belly pale. Thousands of miles away, at the junction of the three kingdoms of Yuntian, Luomeng and Cangbian, a fierce battle was taking place.
Both sides were wearing tight black clothes. Fortunately, one of them had his face covered, otherwise it would be hard to tell whether he was an enemy or a friend.
In a canyon not far from here, Ren Yanran suddenly opened her eyes and found herself tied to a big tree.
She was startled, and before she could figure out what was going on, a shadow covered her head.
When she looked up, she saw three masked people, one woman and two men, standing in front of her and looking down at her.
Her cold eyes were closed, and the masked man on her left was holding her under the armpit with one hand.
Ren Yanran was horrified and shouted, "Hanhan?"
"Awake?" The woman standing in the middle spoke. Her voice was hoarse and unpleasant, as if her throat was torn.
"Who are you? What do you want to do? Let go of my Hanhan." Ren Yanran twisted her body and said sternly.
"Let go? Are you sure?" The woman took a step closer, her voice rustling with a hint of coldness.
After hearing this, the man who was holding Hanhan behind her pretended to let go of Hanhan.
"No! Please don't hurt my Hanhan. If you have anything to say, just come to me." There was a hint of pleading in Ren Yanran's tone.
"You're scared now? You bitch, do you know how to be scared?" The woman said and slapped Ren Yanran twice in the face.
"Who are you? What do you want to do?" Ren Yanran asked the woman sternly with a trace of blood at the corner of her mouth.
"You don't recognize me? Hahaha, how could you not recognize me, sister!" The woman took off the veil on her face, revealing a terrifying scarred face.
"It's you, Ren Xiran!" Ren Yanran exclaimed.
