Rhett, have you changed your mind?
Yiyi looked at the sky sadly. She still remembered when Lei Te said he wanted to be her partner when they were little. Why did she forget it now?
Everything would have been fine if Shuxin hadn't appeared—yes, it was because of Shuxin's appearance!
Yi Yi's eyes became sharp because of Shu Xin's appearance. Ever since Shu Xin appeared, Lei Te has been hanging around Shu Xin all day long. He never comes to play with her, and he has never been seen fighting with other orcs because he was fascinated by one person!
Yi Yi was breathing rapidly, with hatred in her eyes. If Shuxin disappeared, would Rhett return to his former self?
As soon as this thought flashed through my mind, it grew like weeds!
A few tribesmen came over from the opposite side, and Yi Yi turned around and left without stopping. She wanted Shu Xin to disappear!
…
On the last day of the rainy season, the water level was quietly absorbed by the land, the forest was gradually coming back to life, and the ground in the tribe was extremely dry.
The hunting team set out early in the morning, and the remaining tribesmen were not idle either. They moved out all the corn that had been stored for the rainy season to dry.
The hole smells damp and needs to be dried in the sun for a few days.
The sun was shining brightly today, so Rhett and Wente spread all the corn in the yard. Some of the corn had green mold on it, so they threw away some of the rotten ones, but the rest could still be salvaged.
The corn was dried completely after three days and three nights in the sun. The next step was to pick out the corn kernels, which was a time-consuming task.
The two males twist the corn kernels during the day and work overtime at night. After a day and a night, the corn cobs become corn kernels.
Shu Xin has figured out how to make a stone mill. The tribesmen are now very busy. The females and cubs are grinding corn kernels, while the male guards are using some of their work to make the stone mill. It takes two days to grind the flour.
After being stuck in the cave for a month, Shu Yue was finally able to come out for some fresh air.
Sitting on Wente's back, with arms open, breathing in the long-lost smell of sunshine, the feeling can be summed up in one word: awesome!
It’s been a long time since I last felt dry. If it stays stuffy any longer, it will get moldy like corn.
"Vent, I like autumn!" A clear voice reached the ears of the dragon beast.
Wente shook the faucet and said, "I like it too." Autumn is the season with the most food.
Shu Yue laughed, "How about we be a couple? We like the same things."
The dragon beast couldn't see the face of the female behind him, but he could feel the happiness coming from her, and a smile appeared in his eyes.
After laughing, Shu Yue asked, "Wente, do you still remember the Horned Sheep Orc?"
"Remember."
Shu Yue's eyes curved. "I still remember the Horned Sheep leader said that in autumn they would collect something called red earth stems to use for the winter. I want to go to the Horned Sheep tribe and ask them where they dig it. I want to eat it too."
Wente frowned slightly, "Yueyue, it will take eight days to go to the Horned Sheep Tribe and back."
Shu Yue was stunned. "What takes so long?"
Wente hummed, "Yueyue, I can't leave the tribe for too long in the fall. We need to gather food for the winter."
"But we don't have to go there alone. The exchange period for the Orc Continent will begin in a month. The exchange will take place in the Barbarian Tribe. During the exchange period, all Orcs will stop fighting, and the Horned Sheep Tribe will definitely go as well. It won't be too late to ask then."
"Is that so? That's great." Shu Yue flipped through the original owner's memories and found something about the exchange period. The original owner had never been there once. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
