The three fathers said they had taken note. Daben's partner died, but the other two orc partners were not dead. They said they would go back and tell their partners and stay here to guard them at night.
Daben's eyes reddened with excitement as he watched the child's breathing gradually stabilize. He thanked Shuxin repeatedly with gratitude: "Thank you! Thank you so much! When Xiaoshi recovers, I will definitely repay you!"
Shu Xin didn't know what to say, so she just nodded calmly, "The child is hungry, you should make food for him."
"Oh, okay, I'll go right away!" Daben was about to take a step, but suddenly stopped and looked back at the child who was struggling.
Shu Yue saw his predicament and asked, "Where's the child's mother? You can let her take care of him while you go find something to eat."
Before Daben could answer, his fellow tribesman beside him spoke for him: "Daben's partner died, so he..."
Shu Yue looked at the child with sympathy, poor child.
Wente then asked, "Do you have any meat?"
Hearing this, the three orcs froze. They had been hungry for several days on their way to join the warrior tribe. The food the chief gave them yesterday was not enough to fill them up. The tribesmen who went hunting today had not returned yet, so how could there be food?
Seeing their embarrassment, Wente patted one of them on the shoulder and said, "Wait a minute, I'll go get some meat for the child. As for you... figure out a way."
When Daben and the other two heard this, they were so moved that they almost cried, "Thank you! Thank you!" They were very grateful that their children could have enough to eat!
Wen Te shook his head and said to Shu Yue, "Yueyue, let's go back first."
"Okay." Shu Yue felt sorry for the child and couldn't bear to stay any longer.
Lei Te also sent Shuxin back.
Wente was faster, arriving at the cave about ten seconds earlier than Lei Te, and asked her, "Yueyue, do you mind if I bring them some meat?"
Shu Yue shook her head, the pain still in her eyes, "No, the children are too thin, they are very pitiful."
As someone who is about to become a mother, she can't bear to see such scenes.
Wente smiled silently, knowing that his Yueyue would not object. There was a large piece of meat in the cave. He cut off a piece of meat weighing about three pounds, wrapped some salt in leaves, and sent it to them.
In the evening, the hunting team came back dejected. It was obvious that they did not catch much prey. The meat the tribesmen got today was not enough for one meal.
The orcs of the original warrior tribe could not even get enough to eat, let alone the new ones who joined, most of them could not even get enough to eat.
If other people saw the four dishes and one soup on their table, they would probably come and grab them...
Unfortunately, the yard blocks the view and no one can see it.
…
At night, Shu Yue lay on Wen Te's arm, her index finger drawing circles on his chest, whispering, "Honey, I'm a little annoyed. This rain is endless!"
Wen Te touched the top of her head and comforted her, "It will be soon. The rainy season will be over in more than half a month."
"The clothes won't dry because there's rainwater everywhere." He continued to complain.
The orc just listened silently. He knew Yueyue didn't need him to answer anything, he just needed to listen to her.
"Oh, by the way, what do you think about the witch doctor thing?"
Speaking of witch doctors, Wente paused playing with the female's fingers, his brows visibly furrowed. "Uncle already knows about this, he'll take care of it." This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
