Chapter 220: Doctors and Parents

Continuing from the previous chapter, Tu Nian is injured and needs urgent medical treatment.

"Fine, then he can watch it if he wants. But everyone else has to leave, otherwise I'd rather heal myself."

Turning over to face the wall, Tu Nian pursed her lips and demanded. Even if she could accept the doctor's caring heart, this was her bottom line.

Nie Yanchen did not agree immediately, but glanced sideways at Shan Cangzi. After all, he was the attending physician.

Shan Cangzi nodded: "If necessary, I will call someone in."

With his words, Nie Yanchen felt relieved and told the others, "Everyone, get out."

The other people were fine. They were all medical practitioners and medicine practitioners, and were very familiar with Shan Cangzi's medical skills. Naturally, they didn't think that anything would go wrong if they handed things over to him. But Chu Qiurong was very conflicted. She walked and stopped hesitantly, and looked back every few steps.

After hesitating for a while, he grabbed Nie Yanchen and said, "Why don't I call Qin An over? She's probably free right now..."

"Nonsense." Nie Yanchen glared at him. "Qin An only has the Golden Core cultivation level, and he's a medicine cultivator. How could he exchange it for Shan Cangzi, a Yuanying medical cultivator?"

Chu Qiurong frowned, "But Master, Shan Cangzi is a man after all, and Junior Sister is still unmarried. This might be a little inconvenient."

Nie Yanchen tutted and turned his head away. Seeing his useless look, he took a deep breath, grabbed his ear and walked out the door. "I think you've really lost your mind. Today I must strengthen the principles of medical cultivation with you."

"Come, tell me what a monk should and shouldn't do when learning medicine..."

Nie Yanchen lectured Chu Qiurong and then left the house. The others followed closely behind him, leaving Tu Nian half-leaning against the headboard with a speechless look on his face.

"They're putting on too much drama."

"Not bad." Shan Cangzi said, "It's much better than other sects."

Tu Nian turned his head and asked curiously, "Have you ever been to other sects?"

"I've tried a few, but none of them are as good as snow. Lie down."

Shan Cangzi opened the bed curtain and sat down next to Tu Nian, then took out a few silver needles from his waist.

"hiss."

Watching him take out the gleaming silver needle, which was as long as an adult man's palm, Tu Nian couldn't help but gasp and subconsciously shrank back into the bed. "It's just some superficial wounds, there's no need for acupuncture."

"It's not up to me to decide. It depends on the severity of the injury." Shan Cangzi said as he reached out to pull her back, then neatly lifted the cloth around her waist.

The temperature of the other person's fingertips was lower than Tu Nian's body temperature. It touched her waist lightly, making her shiver instinctively. The wound rubbed against the fabric of her clothes, and the pain immediately penetrated her brain, causing tears to well up in the corner of her eyes.

"Brother, be gentle!" Tu Nian cried out in pain.

Where's the supposed doctor-like compassion? This guy's hands are made of iron! He didn't hold back!

"If you don't move, it won't hurt."

He responded to her lightly and continued as usual. After some time, he finally finished the examination amid Tu Nian's screams of pain.

After briefly cleaning up the blood stains on Tu Nian's body, Shan Cangzi said, "Alright, there's nothing serious wrong with your body. Aside from the sword wound on your waist that damaged your meridians, the rest of your injuries are just superficial. They just look scary."

Tu Nian, sweating profusely from the pain, lay there with empty eyes, "I take back what I said now."

Shan Cangzi looked at her and asked, "What did you say?"

Tu Nian said weakly, "Sure enough, self-healing is too conservative. If you come to me and treat me again, I will definitely wait for death."

Shan Cangzi said, "That's an exaggeration. This isn't a difficult treatment at all. If it's really serious, they'll even scrape the bone to remove the poison."

Hearing him mocking her hypocritically, Tu Nian rolled her eyes and said, "Maybe you can give yourself a try next time?"

It's easy to talk without any pain in the waist.

"I've treated it, it's just so-so."

He answered casually, as if he didn't understand Tu Nian's sarcasm. Then, he didn't know how to do it, but with a snap of his fingers, a few drops of water lingered on his fingertips, and then spread along his fingertips to his entire palm, clinging to his skin like a glove.

“But then again, you still have to administer the needle, otherwise the opponent’s spiritual power will attach to your wound and easily enter your body through the meridians over time, causing damage.

He raised a few silver needles as he spoke. Tu Nian glanced at them tremblingly, then turned his face away. He buried his head in the pillow with an expression of fearless readiness to die, and said in a trembling voice, "Please be gentle with this."

Shan Cangzi was silent for a moment, but did not answer. Instead, he said, "If it hurts, just scream out. I will use some magic to try to relieve the pain for you."

“…”

With his head buried like an ostrich, Tu Nian only regretted that he didn't die at the hands of Xiao Yunxiang just now.

“Ouch—”

"Gentle—"

The soundproofing of the room was not as good as expected. Tu Nian's screams were clearly heard by the people waiting outside Nie Yanchen's room. Those who didn't know thought that something terrible had happened inside.

One of the medical practitioners coughed lightly and said tentatively, "Shouldn't we retreat for a while? Judging from Tu Nian's injuries, Shan Cangzi will probably be busy for a while."

Chu Qiurong said anxiously: "Why are you avoiding them? They are already said to be a single man and a single woman..."

"In that case, you guys should just go away."

Without giving Chu Qiurong a chance to speak, Nie Yanchen said to everyone, "I think he's enough on his own. Go and prepare the things you'll need for tomorrow's trial."

Several medical practitioners laughed at Chu Qiurong's impatience and left. Chu Qiurong turned around and was about to shout at Nie Yanchen, but the latter poked him on the head with a finger, anticipating his shout.

"Don't bother me, I still have work to do."

After poking him, Nie Yanchen put his hands behind his back and walked out of the room. Chu Qiurong rubbed her head which hurt from being poked and followed him reluctantly, saying, "What else is going on?"

"So you just worry about useless things."

Nie Yanchen glanced at him, "Curing people is one thing, but shouldn't the person who started it be dealt with?"

Upon hearing this, Chu Qiurong's eyes darkened instantly. "Of course it must be resolved, and all previous grudges must be resolved together."

Not only for Tu Nian and Xu Ziqiao, but also for the fact that he had endured humiliation for so many years, Xiao Yunxiang must come to an end today.

Retracting his gaze, Nie Yanchen turned his sight towards the room at the end of the corridor. "Besides, there are more people than just Yuqing who need to be dealt with right now."

"Squeak."

Xiao Yunxiang was woken up by the sound of the door opening. He opened his eyes and looked at the snow-white silk bed in a daze. "Where am I?"

He murmured and struggled to control his body to sit up, but found that he was tied to the bed with a golden rope, and as he struggled, the rope became tighter and tighter.

"Oh, you're finally awake. I thought you were going to sleep until tomorrow."

In panic, Xiao Yunxiang saw Chu Qiurong's harmless smiling face appear in his sight.
