Chapter 24 Meal List

When the Fourth Master arrived at Zizhuyuan, Wen Mianmian was writing the meal list.

Fortunately, she knows a little about traditional Chinese characters, but the brush is a little difficult to use.

Even she herself could not bear to look at the words she wrote, so she asked Wang An to bring her a piece of charcoal, sharpen one end, and then start writing.

This way the words above look much more pleasing to the eye.

Shannai, who was watering the flowers in the yard, saw the Fourth Master and hurried over, knelt down and kowtowed to greet him.

"Greetings to the master."

"Get up." The Fourth Master said this and walked inside.

Wen Mianmian inside also heard the noise outside at this moment, and quickly put down the charcoal pencil in her hand. Her hands were still a little dirty, but there was no time to ask someone to bring water to wash them.

So Wen Mianmian wiped it casually with the towel Shancha brought, then walked around the table and walked out.

At this moment, the Fourth Master also walked in.

Wen Mianmian and his servants hurriedly bowed and greeted.

"Get up." The Fourth Master frowned when he saw the dirty hands of the little princess.

Looking at Wen Mianmian's hand, he said, "What are you doing? What's wrong with your hand?"

"My lord, I was writing the meal list and didn't expect you to come." After spending time with him twice, Wen Mianmian was no longer afraid or nervous when facing the Fourth Master.

"Meal list?"

Do I need to write my own meal list for this meal?

And how can your hands be so dirty when writing a meal list?

"Yes, Master, didn't you say that I could ask the chef to cook whatever I wanted? So I wrote down the dishes I wanted to eat. I don't know if the chef has cooked these dishes yet, so I'm writing down the steps."

Wen Mianmian happily went over and showed the meal list she had just written to the Fourth Master.

The Fourth Master took it curiously and saw the beautiful and neat handwriting on it. He didn't expect that the little princess's handwriting was so good.

The Fourth Master looked at her puzzledly and asked, "Did you write this?"

Wen Mianmian nodded.

"Why are there only two dishes listed? And why have I never heard of these two dishes?"

Spicy chicken? Sweet and sour pork ribs?

He had eaten many meals, but had never heard of these two names.

"When I was at home, the cook there happened to be able to cook many different kinds of meals, and I learned all of this from him."

What Wen Mianmian said was not wrong. The original owner's family did have a chef who was very good at cooking.

When the original owner celebrated his father's birthday, he personally went to learn a few dishes from the chef and cooked them for his father.

It’s just that the original owner only learned a few very simple dishes, and the Fourth Master wouldn’t check anyway, so there was nothing wrong with Wen Mianmian saying that.

"And your handwriting isn't written with a brush, is it?"

A brush cannot write such fine characters, not even the smallest brush can.

"Hehe, I'm not very good at using a brush, so I asked Wang An to bring a piece of charcoal, sharpen one end, and then write it."

Wen Mianmian was also a little embarrassed, but the brush was too difficult to write with, and the words she wrote were so ugly that even she couldn't bear to look at them.

The Fourth Master glanced at her, then walked to the table and picked up a piece of paper she had written with a brush earlier.

Upon seeing this, the Fourth Master couldn't help but twitch his mouth a few times.

Upon seeing this, Wen Mianmian immediately ran to the Fourth Master and took the card from his hand.

"Hehe, master, this is really too ugly, let's not look at it." Wen Mianmian smiled and crumpled the paper in her hand.

The Fourth Master looked at her and said, "You really need to practice your calligraphy more. Tomorrow I'll ask Su Peisheng to bring you some calligraphy books. You can practice more in your free time."

I just saw how beautiful her charcoal writing is.

But when I saw her calligraphy, it looked like a ghost painting, with no aesthetic appeal at all.

"Ah, Master, that's not necessary. Although my writing skills with a brush are not very good, I can still write with a charcoal pencil."

She almost asked her master to take back his decision.

This calligraphy is really hard to write.

"No, you're so good at writing with charcoal, you should practice more with a brush."

The Fourth Master has always been a man of his word. Now that he has said it, he has no intention of taking it back.

Wen Mianmian's expression instantly became like a frost-bitten eggplant, wilting.

The Fourth Master found it somewhat amusing to see her like this. She was just practicing calligraphy, but he just disliked her so much.

"After you get it, you can practice it whenever you want." The Fourth Master added.

Wen Mianmian's expression instantly changed to happiness when she heard this. What the Fourth Master meant was that he would not force her to practice.

"Thank you, Master." Wen Mianmian smiled and tried to pull the Fourth Master's sleeve.

But when he saw that his hand was still pitch black, he quickly pulled it back when it was about to touch him and smiled at the Fourth Master.

Shancha brought in some water, and Wen Mianmian washed her hands. Then she sat down next to the Fourth Master and asked, "Master, do you want to stay here for dinner?"

She thought that if the Fourth Master stayed, she could write a few more dishes and ask the kitchen to make more, so she could eat more.

Thinking of the delicious food she used to love, Wen Mianmian almost drooled.

The Fourth Master didn't know what she was thinking, so he nodded when he heard the question, "Well, I'll stay here tonight."

Wen Mianmian heard the other meaning in the words, and her face instantly turned red.

"Then, my lord, how about I make the decision about dinner tonight?" Wen Mianmian looked at the Fourth Master expectantly with her palm-sized face, hoping that he would agree.
