Chapter 336 Don’t Want to Leave

After breakfast, Han Zhenyu sent Yuan Haoran into the city. Today was Monday, and he had to go to school.

Yuan Haoran was riding on the rear of the bike. Hanging on the front handlebar was a basket of wild vegetables and mushrooms, which were dug by a few kids in the woods yesterday.

"Uncle Han, I want to come again next week." Yuan Haoran said, putting his arms around his waist.

"Sure, as long as you don't have to go to school, you can come anytime you want." Han Zhenyu said cheerfully, and then told him where to take the bus.

"After school on Saturday afternoon, go to the county party committee and take the Sanhua Brigade's oxcart. But be sure to greet your parents before you come, and don't let them worry."

"I understand, Uncle Han." Yuan Haoran was very happy.

He likes to come to the countryside to play, where he can go fishing and catching shrimps in the river, dig wild vegetables, pick mushrooms, and pick wild fruits. There are so many fun things to do.

If he didn't have to go to school, he wouldn't want to go back.

When the two of them were halfway there, they saw Yuan Liyong riding a bicycle to pick up his son.

Han Zhenyu stopped his bike and said, "Why are you coming here? I'm taking a rest these two days. I just need to send Haoran over."

"I haven't been to work these days and have been idle at home." Yuan Liyong handed him a large net bag. The things inside were wrapped in straw paper and it was impossible to tell what was inside.

"What is this?" Han Zhenyu asked him.

"I asked someone to get a few pig's trotters and some bones. You can take them back and stew them for the children."

"My wife loves to eat pig's trotters the most." Han Zhenyu took it with a smile. It was quite heavy to lift.

He opened it and saw six pig's trotters and a few ribs. "So many?"

Yuan Liyong said: "There are seven or eight people in your family, one for each person is not enough. I originally asked my colleague to save eight for me, but he said that there were not that many, so he added a few ribs."

He checked his watch, then waved to his son, "Haoran, go wait for me in front. I want to talk to your Uncle Han."

"Oh." Meng Haoran nodded and ran away happily.

Yuan Liyong waited until his son walked away, then whispered to Han Zhenyu, "I showed the watches and sweaters you brought to those people. They liked them very much and asked about the price. How much do you think is appropriate?"

"I haven't been involved in this business for several years, so I don't know much about it. You decide the price." Han Zhenyu thought for a moment and said, "Just wholesale it to them at a lower price instead of selling it in small quantities. This way the risk is lower."

"Okay, I'll listen to you." Yuan Liyong discussed the price with him again, "Cheap watches will be priced at 20 yuan each, and expensive ones will be priced at 30 yuan each. The sweaters will be sold at 5 yuan each. What do you think of this price?"

Han Zhenyu nodded: "It's appropriate. Ask them how much they want. I'll have them send it over."

"Okay, then when do we meet?" Yuan Liyong asked him.

Han Zhenyu said: "I have to go to work tomorrow, I will come to see you during my lunch break."

The two discussed the details again, and Han Zhenyu hung the basket of vegetables on his handlebars.

"The children picked some mushrooms and wild vegetables yesterday. My wife picked out the tender ones for you. Go back and try them."

"Then I won't be polite." Yuan Liyong got on his bicycle and waved at him, "Let's go."

………

When Han Zhenyu arrived home, the whole family was busy working in their private plot in the backyard.

He covered the pig's trotters and ribs in the iron pot and went to the backyard as well.

Su Xieqiu and Grandma Du were setting up a rack for the vegetables.

Han Zhenyu took over the work from his grandmother, "Grandma, take Tiantian to the front yard to play on the swing. It's so sunny today, don't let her get burned."

"Okay, there's not much left, you two go ahead." Grandma Du also felt sorry for her great-granddaughter, so she carried her away.

Xuanxuan quickly said, "Dad, we want to go swinging too."

"Why are you swinging on the swing? Finish your work first." Before Han Zhenyu could say anything, An An scolded him with a stern face, "You play all day long, but you want to be lazy when it comes to work. We have so many children in our family, what will they eat if they don't work?"

Xuanxuan said "oh" reluctantly. Then he looked at his parents again. Seeing that neither of them spoke up for him, he could only sigh in his heart and squatted down obediently to continue pulling grass.

Haohao whispered to his brother, "You are quite courageous. You want to be lazy when your sister is here. Aren't you afraid that she will beat you?"

"Alas." Xuanxuan pouted and said, "I'm just asking casually. I don't really want to go and play."

Han Zhenyu and Su Xieqiu found the brothers' little actions very funny.

Han Zhenyu often goes on business trips and spends most of the month away from home.

But as long as he was at home, Su Xieqiu would not go anywhere and would stay at home with the children to accompany him.

Su Xieqiu tied up the vegetable rack with ropes and asked him, "Why did you come back so soon? Did you send Haoran to school?"

Han Zhenyu inserted the stick, took the rope from her hand, and said with a smile as he tied it up: "I met Yuan Liyong on the way. He came to pick up his son and brought several large pig trotters and ribs."

"Then let's stew the pig's trotters this morning."

Su Xieqiu saw that the children were far away, and whispered to Han Zhenyu: "There are already four in it, let's stew them together today."

Making pig's trotters consumes a lot of firewood, so she saves up several and waits for Han Zhenyu to be at home as a snack.

Han Zhenyu looked at her and said, "You don't have to wait for me to come back to eat everything. I often go to state-owned restaurants when I'm out, and I won't treat myself badly."

Although he said this, his face was full of smiles and it was obvious that he was in a very happy mood.
