Chapter 354: Distress on the Train

From Liao Province to Huacheng, you have to change buses several times.

Han Zhenyu used his connections to get a certificate and bought a sleeper ticket.

It was Su Xiaqiu’s first time riding on a modern train, and he felt quite novel at first.

After sitting there for two days, watching the slow speed of the train and smelling the various odors in the carriage, she no longer had the desire to speak.

Han Zhenyu saw that she had been lying down for several hours and had not eaten lunch, so he touched her forehead worriedly.

"Wife, are you feeling uncomfortable? We're almost at the next stop, where we'll stop for 20 minutes. Why don't we get off and walk around to get some fresh air?"

Su Xieqiu sat up and stretched, "It's okay, I just don't want to move."

She looked at her watch and saw that it was already four o'clock in the afternoon. She felt a little hungry, so she opened her suitcase and took out two pears.

The couple sat on the bed, each holding one, eating and talking.

Han Zhenyu bought a lower bunk and a middle bunk.

A middle-aged man wearing glasses slept above them. Because the upper bunk was narrow, he spent the rest of his time talking to people in the aisle except when he slept there.

Sitting on the lower bunk opposite them was a woman in her twenties, dressed very fashionably, with a little girl of five or six years old.

The little girl was very cute and pretty. She was holding a picture album in her hand and occasionally glanced at herself and Han Zhenyu.

Su Xieqiu pretended not to notice her gaze. It was not that she was reluctant to part with the pear, but the little girl's mother did not allow her to eat other people's food.

Yesterday morning, Su Xieqiu was eating an apple and saw the little girl staring at her, so he gave one to her.

But the fashionable mother snatched the apple from her daughter and immediately gave it back to Su Xieqiu. She also gave her daughter a lecture, which made them both very embarrassed.

So Su Xieqiu stopped being sentimental and didn't even talk to the mother and daughter, for fear that others would think she was a person with bad intentions.

Just as they finished eating the pears in their hands, the train arrived at Hengcheng Station. Su Xieqiu put on his backpack and got off the train with Han Zhenyu to get some fresh air.

The little girl looked at their backs with a lost look in her eyes.

She didn't want to eat other people's food, she was just too bored in the car and wanted to talk to the beautiful aunt.

The fashionable lesbian put down the book and said to her daughter with a smile: "Lolo, you will be able to see your daddy soon, are you happy?"

"Mom, Luo Luo is so happy." The little girl put down the picture book in her hand and asked with a pout, "Mom, can't I play with that auntie?"

The fashionable woman held her daughter in her arms and lowered her voice and said, "Lolo, what did your mother tell you when you were leaving?"

Luo Luo thought for a moment and said, "Don't eat food from strangers, don't talk to people you don't know, and don't follow others."

The woman smiled and nodded, "That's right, Luo Luo, if the other party is a human trafficker and kidnaps you, you will never see your parents again."

Luo Luo frowned. Although she felt that the auntie was not a bad person, she decided to listen to her mother and ignore the stranger. What if the stranger wanted to kidnap her?

Han Zhenyu and Su Xieqiu stayed on the platform for about ten minutes. Only when the conductor reminded them that the train was about to depart did the two get on.

Su Xieqiu has slept for almost a day and is now in good spirits.

She took out two high school math textbooks from her bag. Because it was almost dinner time, Han Zhenyu didn't go up to his bed. The couple sat down there reading.

Not long after the train started, the broadcast reminded everyone to eat. "This train has prepared a sumptuous dinner for the passengers. Passengers who need it, please go to carriage No. 9 for dinner."

Han Zhenyu put the book under his pillow and said, "Let's go and have dinner."

Su Xieqiu was really hungry, so he put on his backpack and went to the restaurant with Han Zhenyu.

When they were halfway through their meal, the mother and daughter on the bed opposite came over.

Su Xieqiu didn't want to say hello at first, but since their eyes met, he smiled and nodded.

The fashionable woman paused, feeling that she had gone a little too far yesterday.

Just as I was about to explain, the waiter came over and asked them what they wanted to eat.

She swallowed the words that were about to come out of her mouth and prepared to apologize before getting off the car.

Su Xieqiu looked at the vast farmland and villages outside the window and sighed, "It's almost snowing over there, but it's still green here."

Han Zhenyu picked up a piece of lean braised pork for her and said with a smile, "It's greener and hotter further south. I heard from Yiming that people in Huacheng still wear shirts."

"The climate in the north and south is very different." Su Xieqiu looked away. Seeing that more and more people were in the restaurant, he ate faster.

The two returned to the carriage. When Han Zhenyu took a towel to wash up, he suddenly found that their bags had been touched.

He calmly searched the bag and found nothing was missing.

There were only a few sets of clothes, some daily necessities, some fruits and snacks in the bag. The valuables were all in his wife's space.

Su Xieqiu noticed his abnormality and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

Han Zhenyu took out the toiletries and whispered in her ear, "Our bags were rummaged through."

Su Xieqiu was shocked, and then he glanced at the nearby bunks. Suddenly, he felt that each of them was suspicious.

Han Zhenyu patted her on the shoulder and said, "Go wash up first while there are few people here."

Su Xieqiu nodded, and the two went together. After coming back, they sat on the lower bunk and read.

In fact, I was also observing these people to see who had rummaged through their bags.

When it was time to turn off the lights, Han Zhenyu asked Su Xieqiu to sleep on the middle bunk, and he slept on the lower bunk to watch.

A night passed and nothing happened, but Han Zhenyu still did not let down his guard.
