Chapter 403 The Twins Arrive in Beijing

Wu Heping sent them to Nanping County Station and waited until the three of them got on a bus to the provincial capital before turning around and leaving.

Haohao and Xuanxuan sat in the car, looking out the window excitedly.

Xuanxuan put his small backpack on his legs and took out his water bottle to drink some water.

Then he took out three hawthorn sticks, gave one to his brother and one to Gu Fangxun.

While eating, he asked curiously, "Uncle, when we get to the provincial capital, do we have to take another long train?"

Gu Fangxun put the hawthorn sticks in his mouth, put the brothers' backpacks on his side, and then said with a smile: "Yes, we can reach Beijing in two days by train."

"That's great. I'll be able to see my big brother and big sister soon."

The twins ate the snacks prepared by their mother and talked happily to Gu Fangxun.

The bus was very bumpy, and Gu Fangxun was afraid that they would get carsick, so he didn't dare let them eat too much and coaxed them to sleep.

Haohao and Xuanxuan were too excited last night and didn’t sleep well. Not long after the car started, the two brothers started snoring.

When they woke up, they had already arrived in the provincial capital.

Gu Fangxun bought a ticket for the evening train, and he opened a guesthouse near the train station.

I first took the twins to a restaurant for a good meal, then took them to visit the provincial capital. After we came back, we slept for a while and went to the train station an hour before departure.

Haohao and Xuanxuan were carrying their own small backpacks, looking at the busy train hall. They were mumbling something, but no one knew what they were saying.

Gu Fangxun was afraid of squeezing people apart, so he hung two large luggage bags on his shoulders with ropes and held the twins tightly with both hands.

He was just about to give some instructions when he suddenly noticed that the two of them were moving their mouths very quickly but no sound came out.

He asked with amusement: "Haohao, Xuanxuan, what are you two talking about?"

Haohao looked around vigilantly and whispered, "Uncle, we are memorizing our home address. In case we get lost or are kidnapped by human traffickers, we will be able to find our way home later."

Gu Fangxun was stunned for a moment after hearing this. He thought it was a good idea. He didn't expect the two children to be so cautious.

He praised: "You are really smart, but don't worry, your uncle is here, he won't let anyone kidnap you."

The twins giggled and held him tightly with their little hands.

It was half an hour later when the three of them boarded the train.

Gu Fangxun bought two sleeper tickets, both lower berths, so that it would be more convenient to look after the two children.

The twins excitedly leaned against the window, looking out at the dark outside. They discussed how long the train was.

Gu Fangxun put the luggage under the bed and took off their small backpacks. "Are you two hungry?"

It was already past nine o'clock in the evening, and four hours had passed since they had dinner.

The twins nodded, took their backpacks, opened their water bottles and drank a few sips of water before going outside to get food.

Haohao took out three apples and put them on the table, then took out two lunch boxes from his bag, which were filled with boiled eggs and washed green vegetables.

Xuanxuan took out a bag of fried cakes, a can of meat sauce, and his water bottle.

Gu Fangxun was stunned. He thought the two people's bags were filled with toys and snacks, but he didn't expect them to be full of food.

He looked at his backpack, which was still full.

Gu Fangxun wondered how much food did grandma and the others prepare?

Haohao took out a large pancake, scooped two spoonfuls of meat sauce on it, spread it evenly, then put a few slices of green vegetables, rolled it up carefully, and then gave it to Gu Fangxun.

"Uncle, my great-grandmother said that we can't leave the things in our bags. Eat these first. You can eat the things in your bag tomorrow."

Gu Fangxun looked at the fried pancake covered with meat sauce and suddenly laughed.

These two children are so capable that he doesn't need to worry about them at all. They can even take care of him as their uncle.

He took the pancake without hesitation and just after taking two bites, Xuanxuan handed him a peeled egg.

"Uncle, you've been carrying so much luggage and taking care of us two brothers. You must be tired. Eat more."

Gu Fangxun looked at the two little men in front of him and raised the corners of his lips happily.

There were two middle-aged men sleeping on the upper bunk. Looking at the two boys who looked very similar, one of them asked Gu Fangxun curiously, "Are they twins?"

"Yes." Gu Fangxun nodded with a smile, and then said proudly, "He's my nephew."

"These two brothers are really good-looking and sensible." the man praised.

Haohao smiled at him and said politely, "Thank you for the compliment, uncle."

"You're welcome, you're welcome." The man smiled and sighed, "Such a young child, but so sensible and polite, he must have been well brought up."

The other man nodded in agreement and asked Xuanxuan, "Little boy, how old are you?"

"Uncle, we are almost six years old."

"So, did you go to school?"

"No, he's too young. The school won't accept him. He won't be able to enter the first grade until next year."

Xuanxuan felt that the two of them talked too much and remembered his mother's advice not to reveal too much about family matters to others.

He rolled his eyes, took a large pancake and asked the two men.

"Uncles, we are going to eat. Do you want to eat something?"

The two smiled and waved, "No, we're not hungry. Thank you, little friend."

The twins sat on their beds and ate the delicious fried cakes.

Gu Fangxun was sitting opposite them and didn't interrupt their conversation. Seeing Xuanxuan changed the subject, he nodded with satisfaction.

I thought to myself that Han Zhenyu and his wife are really good at raising children. They have taught their five children to be well-behaved and smart, to be able to read people's expressions, and to be very thoughtful.

He saw it clearly when Xuanxuan's eyes moved just now. He was so young and could change the subject, which was better than some adults.
