Chapter 57 The Twists and Turns on the Road Home

He stopped and walked along the way, and when he arrived at the village entrance he still hadn't decided where to sleep at night.

Han Lei and Sun Dashu both have wives, so he doesn't want to disturb them.

But even if they were not married, he couldn't go.

What will he say when those two guys ask him why he doesn’t go home to sleep?

Han Zhenyu had no choice but to ride his bicycle to the brigade headquarters.

But he didn't go into the yard. He walked around the neighborhood and then parked his bike near the school.

Prepare to knock on Su Xieqiu's door again when it's dawn.

He sat in the back seat of the car looking at the stars in the sky and thought to himself, if I had known this would happen, I would not have come back.

It would be great to sleep in the factory dormitory for one night and come back early tomorrow morning. I am really looking for trouble.

Han Zhenyu didn't know how long he had been sitting outside, he just felt extremely itchy from the mosquito bites.

With a snap, he had another mosquito corpse in his hand.

Teacher Wei ate a cucumber and drank half a bowl of cold water before going to bed, so he had diarrhea at night.

When he got up to go to the bathroom, he heard some slapping sounds outside the school.

Thinking of the strange laughter at night some time ago, he was so scared that he shivered and ran into the house with his pants up without even going to the toilet.

When he was almost at the dormitory, curiosity made him stop again.

He was a materialist and did not believe that ghosts really existed in the world, but what happened that night was really strange.

If he was the only one who heard it, it might have been an illusion, but his wife also heard it clearly.

Teacher Wei hesitated for a while, but decided to go out and find out what was going on.

He took a shovel and encouraged himself as he walked.

Han Zhenyu couldn't stand the bites anymore, so he tied up some grass from the side of the road and swung it around to drive away the mosquitoes.

The moonlight was very bright today. Teacher Wei walked out of the school and saw a bicycle parked not far away with a tall man standing next to it.

He didn't know who the other person was. He looked down at his thin body and didn't dare to go forward. He stood there and shouted, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

Han Zhenyu was startled by the sudden voice.

He turned his head warily and recognized in the moonlight that it was Teacher Wei from the school.

Fearing misunderstanding, he immediately greeted with a smile, "Hello, Teacher Wei, I am Han Zhenyu, and I just came back from the city."

When Teacher Wei heard it was him, he breathed a sigh of relief and complained, "Han Zhenyu, it's you. Why are you standing here in the middle of the night instead of going home? You almost scared me to death."

Han Zhenyu was a little embarrassed, but he couldn't tell the truth, so he had to lie with a smile, "I'm sorry, Teacher Wei, I was just smoking here, and I didn't expect to scare you."

"Go back to the house quickly." Teacher Wei reminded.

When I turned around and went back to school, I remembered the strange laughter from some time ago.

He was silent for a moment, then walked over and whispered, "Don't walk around outside at night anymore. It's not safe."

Han Zhenyu was a little surprised to see his serious expression.

Did something big happen in the village during his absence? But I didn't hear my uncle tell me just now.

He asked, "Teacher Wei, what happened?"

Teacher Wei stared at him for a while and decided to tell him about it, otherwise it would be too uncomfortable to keep it in his heart.

Although Han Zhenyu has a bad reputation in the village, he knows that it is not the case and he is very reliable.

Teacher Wei felt that he was someone with whom he could share secrets.

He leaned over to Han Zhenyu's ear and said, "One night half a month ago, my wife and I were sleeping soundly when suddenly we heard a woman's weird laughter. The sound was so scary that my wife was scared to tears. Now she dares not sleep alone."

Han Zhenyu pushed his bicycle towards the brigade headquarters without listening to him finish.

"Hey, did you hear what I just said? Don't come out in the middle of the night to scare people." Teacher Wei shouted softly behind him.

Han Zhenyu ignored him. When he was almost at the entrance of the brigade, he suddenly turned around and pretended to be surprised and asked, "Teacher Wei, why is there someone standing behind you?"

"Ah! Where? Where?"

Teacher Wei was so scared that he almost jumped up. When he heard Han Zhenyu's laughter, he realized that he had been fooled by this guy.

He said angrily: "Han Zhenyu, what I just said is true. If you don't believe it, forget it."

"Teacher Wei, I believe you." Han Zhenyu suppressed his laughter and continued to tease him, "But what I said is also true. There really is someone behind you, and it's a woman. If you don't believe me, look back."

Although Teacher Wei knew that he was joking, he still felt a little uneasy about discussing such a topic so late at night.

Seeing that Han Zhenyu had already entered the team headquarters, he ran back to school cursing.

Although the two of them tried to lower their voices when they were talking outside, in the dead of night, any sound could be heard from far away.

Su Xieqiu also heard the noise outside and thought that some bold person had come here again to seek death.

She had quietly gotten out of bed and was now standing behind the door with a machete.

The last time she went to the city, she bought ten mousetraps. She puts them at the door every night and is now waiting for people outside to fall into the trap.

But she waited for a long time and no one came.

Su Xieqiu climbed over the crack in the door and looked out. He saw a tall and thin figure standing not far away, and there seemed to be a bicycle parked next to it.

Because the distance was a bit far, she couldn't see clearly who it was. She just felt that the figure was familiar, a bit like her cheap husband who was away on a business trip?

Han Zhenyu was standing outside feeling upset. If he hadn't come back tonight, he would probably be sleeping in the factory dormitory.
