Chapter 59 Two Hearts Getting Closer

The next morning

When Su Xieqiu woke up, it was a little later than she usually got up.

Han Zhenyu had already returned from bathing in the river. He had washed his clothes and selected the water.

He was sitting at the door, cleaning the bicycle he had just ridden back.

"You haven't slept yet?" Su Xieqiu rubbed his eyes and asked in a slightly hoarse voice.

Han Zhenyu paused while wiping the bicycle when he heard her voice, but he didn't turn around and said in a low voice, "I slept for a while."

Su Xieqiu covered her mouth with her hand and yawned, then heard Han Zhenyu say, "It's not dawn yet, if you're sleepy, go back to sleep, I'll go over and cook later."

"I'm awake." Su Xieqiu didn't have the habit of staying in bed.

She put on her shoes and went to the yard to wash.

Han Zhenyu washed the cloth used to clean the bicycle and hung it up to dry. He said to her, "I'm going to go to the homestead first. I have to go to the factory later."

Su Xieqiu said: "Okay, you go first, I'll come over after I'm done packing."

Han Zhenyu wanted to ask, do you want me to wait for you to go together?

But I felt that this was too sticky, so I nodded and rode my bike over to the homestead.

After Su Xieqiu finished washing up, he closed the door and started taking things out of the space, such as eggs, black fungus, vermicelli and so on.

She took out all the supplies for the month from the space and stuffed them into a sack under the bed.

These things are available now. Although black fungus and vermicelli are in short supply, they can also be bought on the black market.

It’s unknown how long Han Zhenyu will stay at home this time.

If he was there, it would not be so convenient to get things in the future, so she planned to take out everything she could.

The house will be cleaned up soon, and then we will ask Grandpa Du and my uncle to take some of the food back home.

When Su Xieqiu arrived at the homestead, Grandpa Du and his family had already started building a stove.

Han Lei, Sun Dashu and two cousins from the Yan family were leveling the yard.

Han Zhenyu was just coming out of Grandpa Du's house with a bag of things. Seeing her, he whispered:

"Before daybreak, I will go to the captain. I need him to issue a certificate for the transfer of household registration."

"Okay, I got it." Su Xieqiu thought about how good Han Zhenyu was to her, and wanted to express her feelings.

She took out a large bowl of pickled peppers from the basket and said with a smile:

"Didn't you say last time that you liked pickled peppers? I bought a lot from my aunt in the village and made two big jars of them, as well as pickled radishes. They'll be enough for you to eat for a long time."

Han Zhenyu was very happy to hear that. He knew that she cared about him. There was a smile in his eyes and the corners of his mouth curled up.

He looked at Su Xieqiu and said in a gentle voice, "Okay, then I'll go to the captain's house first."

Su Xieqiu nodded and said, "Don't stay too long, come back early to eat."

Han Zhenyu immediately responded: "Well, I'll be back soon."

Su Xieqiu waved at him and started kneading the dough and picking vegetables.

She didn't know yet that Han Zhenyu had misunderstood again.

In fact, what she meant was that grandpa and the others still have to work after dinner, so you should come back earlier and don’t let so many people wait for you alone.

But it sounded different to Han Zhenyu's ears.

He thought that Su Xieqiu was afraid that he would be hungry, so she told him to come back early to eat.

Such a beautiful misunderstanding caused ripples in Han Zhenyu's heart again.

Su Xieqiu made scallion pancakes today. He used wheat flour and corn flour, and secretly added three eggs when kneading the dough.

I cooked another pot of corn porridge, mixed some cold beans, and added pickled peppers. This breakfast could be said to be very sumptuous.

Han Lei, Sun Dashu, and Sun Dahan also had dinner here these two days. It was Su Xieqiu who asked them to eat here.

At first the three of them felt embarrassed and insisted on going home to eat, but in the end Grandpa Du and Uncle Du forced them to stay.

Grandpa Du looked at the food on the table and got used to it. At first, he and his son were distressed and complained to her every day, asking her to just cook something simple in the morning.

But every time Su Xieqiu heard it, he would agree with a smile, but he would do the same thing the next time.

So later on they stopped talking about it, because it was useless to talk about it.

This girl usually looks cheerful and easy to talk to, but her personality is just like his grandson's, she is opinionated.

Han Zhenyu was very fast. Before Su Xieqiu's meal was ready, he came back on his bicycle with a large basket of kidney beans and green vegetable seedlings hanging on the handlebars.

"Who gave the food?" Su Xieqiu asked.

"The captain's wife gave it to me. I didn't want it, but she insisted on picking it, so I had to bring it back." Han Zhenyu brought the vegetables into the house and sat in front of the stove to help her light the fire.

"Some time ago, the captain's wife heard that I was pickling peppers, so she picked a large basket and sent it to me. When I went to the city some time ago, I happened to buy some candy, so I grabbed a handful and brought it to his son.

While cutting beans, Su Xieqiu told him about the interpersonal relationships he had had during this period.

Han Zhenyu nodded. "Just take care of these. I'll go to the factory to get this month's salary and tickets and give them to you. Go buy anything your family needs. If you don't have enough tickets, tell me and I'll find someone to exchange them."

Su Xieqiu didn't say no. When two people lived together, it was impossible for them to divide everything so clearly, but she would not spend other people's money recklessly.

She put the chopped garlic in the beans and poured some cooked oil into it. Seeing that the porridge in the pot was almost ready, she said to him:

"No need to cook, go and call grandpa and the others to come over for dinner."

"Okay." Han Zhenyu took the firewood out of the pot and went to the new house.

He will have to go to the factory to get a certificate, transfer his household registration, and transfer his food supply. There are still many things to do.
