With a simple push of his left foot, he rolled to the left, narrowly avoiding the fatal stab.
Without further ado, he grabbed a handful of ore from the side and threw it with all his might at the tall, thin man who had missed his target and was unable to dodge.
"Ouch, it hurts so much!"
The immense impact of the ore knocked him to the ground, blood gushing from his head, his body writhing in pain.
Just as Gu Changqing pulled the pickaxe from the burly man's corpse, preparing to deliver the final blow, the sound of the moon flute rang out.
"Brother, can I do it myself? He's the one who kidnapped my parents!"
Seeing Yue Di walking towards them, Gu Changqing didn't say a word, but simply nodded slightly. Then, he stepped on the tall, thin man's body, rendering him unable to make any further movements.
Yue Di quickly walked to his side, holding a piece of ore larger than her head in her hand. It was unclear what had inspired such strength in her.
"A blood debt must be paid in blood!"
Words filled with intense hatred emanated from Yue Di's tightly clenched lips.
The tall, thin man, lying on his back on the ground, unable to move under Gu Changqing's weight, looked at Yue Di, who was holding a huge rock with a face full of anger and sorrow. His eyes were also filled with fear of death.
He kept begging for mercy.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please spare me! My brother is the mine manager, please don't kill me! I can get him to give you food, lots and lots of food, please..."
Before he could beg for mercy any further, the boulder in Yue Di's hand slammed down on his head.
Before it could even utter a scream, the patterned head had turned into a lump of mud, its brains splattering everywhere, scattering colorful liquids all over the place.
After doing all this, Yue Di seemed to lose all her strength and collapsed onto the ground.
Fortunately, Gu Changqing reacted quickly and caught her before she fell, then gently laid her down on the ground.
