Chapter 20 The Greatest Array Master in History

His name is Little Stone, a name given to him by his grandmother.

His grandmother told him, "You have neither a father nor a mother."

Little Stone stood behind his grandmother and asked, "Why?"

Grandma turned around and looked at Little Stone, saying in a slightly hoarse voice, "Because, you are the one I picked up from among the stones."

The little stone continued, "So, was I born from a stone?"

Grandma smiled, squatted down, and patted Little Stone's head, saying, "Yes, that's why you're called Little Stone."

In the days that followed, the name Little Stone stayed with him, and it never changed even as he grew up.

A few years later, Little Stone's grandmother died. He was standing next to her as she lay down on the bed when she passed away.

Looking at his grandmother lying in bed, Little Stone didn't cry, and neither did his grandmother.

In her final moments, Grandma said in an extremely hoarse voice, "There's nothing to cry about. Everyone goes through this."

Little Stone looked at his grandmother's arm, which she was trying to raise as if to touch him one last time, but which she couldn't do because of her old age, and he felt the same way.

No one came to visit when Little Stone's grandmother passed away, and he never saw his grandmother speak to anyone.

I heard from others that my grandmother is crazy.

I heard that my grandfather was killed by her.

Little Stone neither believed nor denied it.

Life is always boring, Little Stone always thought.

After his grandmother passed away, Xiao Shitou spent an afternoon digging a hole next to the house and burying her. Many villagers came and went while he was digging, but most of them only glanced at it and left in a hurry.

After his grandmother passed away, Little Stone felt even more bored, so he left that dilapidated thatched hut.

There's a small path in the village, which I heard is the only road leading to the nearest city.

The little stone walked along that path, drinking water when it was hungry and eating grass when it was thirsty.

I don't know how long I walked, but the road started to widen and there were more and more people.

Many people who saw him kept their distance.

Some people even cursed him.

These little stones didn't care at all.

Until he met her.

She was the most beautiful girl Xiao Shitou had ever seen, around 20 years old, and very innocent.

When he saw her, she seemed to be in trouble.

She seemed very scared, surrounded by several men, and was still crying.

The people around just watched, none of them daring to speak.

The little stone was strange.

He walked over and asked them expressionlessly, "What are you doing?"

Upon seeing Xiao Shitou's appearance, the man immediately distanced himself, looking at him with disdain and angrily shouting, "What are you doing, you damned beggar? Get lost!"

As he spoke, he swept his hands in front of him as if there was something unclean in them.

The little stone didn't speak, nor did it get angry.

He was used to this kind of thing; ever since he was old enough to understand, he had encountered such people almost every day.

What are they doing?

Little Stone found another person. The result was the same; the person ran away cursing.

Then he searched for more people until everyone had run away.

Only the few men surrounding the girl and the crying girl remained.

At this moment, a man noticed the situation around him. He looked at the small stone, then looked around, frowned, but said nothing.

The little stone was puzzled, so it asked, "What are you doing?"

The man paused, then frowned: "Are you an idiot?"

"Idiot?" Little Stone thought for a moment, realizing that's what people usually call him. He nodded: "That's what most people call me."

"Get lost, you stinking beggar!" A man suddenly walked over and kicked Little Stone hard.

"Why?" Little Stone didn't understand. He gently twisted his waist and dodged the man's attack.

Little Stone was stunned, the man who started it was stunned, and even the girl seemed to be stunned.

"Who exactly are you?" The man seemed to be the leader, and he started to frown again.

"Me?" Little Stone said expressionlessly, "My name is Little Stone."

"What do you want to do?"

"I want to know what you're doing."

The man paused, then seemed a little angry: "Are you really stupid? Can't you see that? It's obviously a robbery!"

"Robbery?" This time, Little Stone was taken aback. He asked, "Why would I rob you?"

The man's eye twitched, and he said fiercely, "Robbery is... uh," he paused, then asked the person next to him, "What does robbery involve?"

The man next to him said cautiously, "Boss, we're out of money."

"Yes, we're out of money," the leader said to Little Stone, "so we have to rob someone."

"Does being broke mean you have to rob someone?" Little Stone asked curiously. "What's money for?"

The eldest brother unconsciously clenched his fist, but didn't dare to step forward. He just took a deep breath: "Money can do anything."

"Can I do anything?" Little Stone murmured in deep thought.

After a long while, the leader seemed to grow impatient and said, "Hey, what exactly do you want?"

Little Stone ignored him.

He raised his voice. "Little Stone, did you hear me? What do you want to do?"

Little Stone looked up at him, and after a long pause, said, "Robbery."
