Chapter 4 The Heartless Saint

After Gu Changqing left, the sect leader looked at the customer and said:

"Your Gu family has produced a peerless genius!"

"Hehe, thank you for the praise, Sect Master."

The customer laughed.

After a brief exchange of greetings, the sect leader addressed the customer with a serious expression:

"Old Gu, I am going to Wenxin Mountain to discuss the Northern Region Grand Competition two years from now with the other nine major sects. In previous years, my sect couldn't even get a single spot in the top ten."

After hearing the sect leader's words, the customer sighed and said, "Yes, it's a pity that Changqing is only twelve years old this year, otherwise he would have had a chance to be in the top three in this competition."

"If we can't make it into the top ten in this competition, then my Luoxia Sect won't have entered the Holy Land to participate in the Holy Land Conference for fifty years."

The sect leader shook his head and continued, "It's a pity about the Holy Son of Luoyang from fifty years ago."

"Yes, the Holy Son of Luoyang won third place in the Northern Region Competition, but unfortunately he was ambushed on his way to the Holy Land."

After the customer finished speaking, something seemed to come to mind, and a hint of sadness appeared in his eyes.

“Alas, Old Gu, in that ambush, our sect lost three inner sect elders and twenty outer sect elders, and countless elite disciples were also killed or wounded. One of the inner sect elders was your Daoist partner.”

"Let's not talk about it anymore. It's all in the past. Let's leave these grudges to that brat Changqing! Hahaha."

The customer burst into laughter, as if this could lessen the pain caused by his partner's death.

"Old Gu, I'll be entrusting the sect's affairs to you while I'm away."

"Yes, don't worry."

Upon hearing the customer's affirmative reply, the Sect Master of Luoxia Sect laughed loudly and disappeared from the customer's sight.

In the empty hall, only the customer remained. He muttered to himself:

"Xiao Xing, if you could see this, if you could see that our Gu family has produced such a good child as Changqing, you would be very happy in the afterlife!"

"Wait for me, old man. My days are numbered. My only wish now is to see Changqing grow up to be able to protect himself."

After speaking, the customer looked in the direction Gu Changqing had left, sighed heavily, and then disappeared from Luoxia Peak.
