In a gray and white space, Gu Changqing slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a blurry figure sitting in front of him, whose hand was tapping something from time to time.
The screen-like object in front of the figure emitted a soft blue light, casting a pale blue glow on the figure.
Seeing this, Gu Changqing frowned slightly and asked the figure in his eyes:
Who are you? And where is this place?
But the figure seemed not to hear Gu Changqing's words, and continued to tap in front of him.
Seeing that the figure in front of him did not answer, Gu Changqing slightly raised his hand, preparing to pull the person over for soul searching.
However, Gu Changqing was surprised to find that there was not a trace of spiritual power in his body at this time, and apart from his upper body being able to move slightly, his lower body seemed to be frozen in place.
At this moment, Gu Changqing was like a paralyzed mortal, unable to do anything but stare at the figure in front of him.
After an unknown amount of time, the hands that had been tapping something in front of the figure stopped, and then the figure leaned heavily back in the seat behind him, turning his head to look at Gu Changqing.
"I know you have many questions, Gu Changqing. Don't worry, I'll explain them to you slowly."
"For example, why are you here, what am I, and where is this place? I will answer all your questions."
The voice of that figure was as indistinct as the figure's body, but when it entered Gu Changqing's mind, he still understood the meaning it conveyed.
Gu Changqing simply nodded slightly, then stopped making any further movements, waiting for the figure in front of him to provide an answer.
Upon seeing this, the figure turned off the screen emitting blue light, leaving only gray and white in the space. The figure then spoke:
"Actually, I envy you. You have many identities, and they are all very noble."
"You are the eldest son of the Gu family."
You are the only direct disciple of the Sect Master of the Falling Clouds Sect.
You are the number one holy son of the Luoxia Sect.
You are the number one genius in the Northern Region.
You are the last Holy Emperor of the Holy Land.
You are a noble Celestial Dragon among the alien races.
You are a trusted cousin of Long Tian.
You are the Heavenly Inspector God personally appointed by the Emperor.
You are an unparalleled genius who reversed the Dao Void realm with just the Divine Void realm, and this is all you have achieved in less than twenty years of your life. You will likely become even stronger in the future, and your status will be even more numerous and noble.”
"I envy you because I am just an ordinary mortal. I might not even be worth your attention. Your aura could crush me into ashes."
"But here, in this space, everything is under my control. If you want immortality, eternity, or invincibility, it's just a matter of me saying a word. What you strive for in your entire life can be accomplished with just a single word from me."
As the figure finished speaking, Gu Changqing, who was listening in front, seemed to understand something and said coldly:
"Are you saying I'm a fictional character? That all of this is just a fantasy you created?"
The figure shook its head slightly. "No, no, you will always be yourself. I am just from the future. I only know about your future and everything you do because I received a little projection from you from a distant world."
Some people say that your opponent is stupid or dumb, but they don't know that there are many, many stupid people in this world, and you can't kill them all.
"Here, I can have an equal dialogue with them, which is my honor. They always jump to conclusions without knowing anything."
You're probably curious about who they are, right?
"They are everywhere, perhaps right in front of us, or perhaps in places we cannot see, but they certainly exist."
“I envy you. You have almost everything. Power, influence, strength, you have everything. And you can still climb to even higher levels.”
“I have nothing. Sometimes I just search everywhere for a compliment from someone else, but what’s the use?”
"One, two are the same. I once said something like this in the forum: I want to write a book for everyone, a book that everyone can read, a book that can help people pass the time."
"Yes, I did have a lot of support back then, but it was just support. Maybe my writing was bad, maybe it was poorly written, or maybe they were just too lazy to read it."
"Gu Changqing, do you know? In a whole half month, I only received nine five-star reviews, but the number of people who support me is far more than nine?"
"Why is that? Well, if it were you, you would definitely criticize my writing as bad and poor. I know, but I am still very sad. However, I am not too angry because I rarely get angry, and these things don't make me angry."
"I thought I could get a five-star compliment in just a little time, but it was like the moon in the water or a flower in a mirror, something I could see but could not reach."
"A compliment can make me happy for a long time, and I often refresh the page. Oh right, it's this thing that emits blue light. But every time it brings me disappointment. But it's not all like that. There are still people who support me and give me advice or encouragement."
"I originally wanted you to come here so I could give those people a piece of my mind, but unfortunately I still don't know what to say. Maybe my writing is bad, or maybe those people don't have time. I actually have a lot more to say. I may never see you again, so I'll just say everything this time."
"I had agreed with someone with a four-character name to give each other five-star praise, but after I gave it to him, he didn't give it to me. I wasn't angry, but I was very sad and felt like I had been deceived."
