Fortunately, within this building, Bai Xue discovered a number of bottled water sources and canned foods that could be consumed by exploring the rooms on each floor.
At this moment, Bai Xue was carrying a backpack that she had collected from some room somewhere. The backpack contained some water and food that she had collected over this period of time, as well as some small props that resembled the pen that had turned red.
She was in the hallway of the building, holding a half-empty bottle of mineral water, drinking it while exploring various parts of the building.
"Sigh~ The 42-hour mission time had already passed, but the Immortal changed the mission issued by the Main God Space. I don't know when I can return to the Main God Space. If I eat the food in my backpack sparingly, it should last me about a week."
As Bai Xue put the remaining half of the mineral water into her backpack, she kept complaining.
However, for some reason, apart from the room she encountered when she first entered, she didn't encounter any strange objects in the rooms she entered afterward. There were only some notes with words she couldn't understand and some small props with unknown functions.
Just when Bai Xue thought she was in a terrible situation, she was unaware of what was happening to Number One, who had caught up with the figure in red.
...
Meanwhile, in the upper floors, separated by eerie stone walls, Number One was running frantically through a dark and oppressive passageway, occasionally glancing back at the scene behind him, constantly muttering complaints:
"Hey, I only glanced at you a few times, and you've been chasing me for days. Is that a bit much? What about the person you've been dragging along? Why are you just ignoring the person you've been keeping up with? Instead, you keep chasing after me?"
Behind Number One, who was running wildly, the figure who had been dragging a man in tattered clothes was now, for some reason, empty of anything and simply following behind him at a leisurely pace.
Looking at the red-clad figure behind him who hadn't stopped following his words and was still floating steadily behind him, Number One couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration.
He had followed the figure in red thinking it was a way out left by the God's Space, but as soon as he reached the top of the stairs, he found a stone wall suddenly appearing behind him.
He originally wanted to transform into a werewolf and break through the seemingly not-so-hard stone wall with a single punch.
The result was that even when his werewolf-form fists were almost numb from punching, he still couldn't leave a single mark on the stone wall.
There was no other way; even the last member had to abandon the plan to break through the stone wall and reunite with the rest of the team.
After silently wishing good luck to the members behind the stone wall, he walked alone towards the exit to the upper floor.
It seemed as if the blessing had truly succeeded, but in reality, it was a transfer of one's luck to Bai Xue.
The moment Number One entered the upper stairwell, he found himself face to face with the red-clad figure dragging a man at the stairwell entrance.
The moment Number One saw the figure in red, he froze on the spot, and the figure in red seemed to be just as still, without making any movement.
However, the tranquil moment was shattered by a roar from the red-clad figure right next to Number One.
Roar roar roar
Number One was brought back to his senses by these roars that seemed to shatter his eardrums.
Without any reason, in the instant he regained his senses, he instantly transformed into werewolf form, throwing a punch at the howling red-clad figure, shouting loudly as if to bolster his courage:
"You evil spirit, take this punch from your grandpa!"
However, this punch did not go as Number One expected. The red-clad figure in front of him was like air, and the fist passed straight through her invisible body as if hitting thin air.
Seeing that he couldn't harm the red-clad figure at all, Number One also planned to retract his punch.
Since I can't hit her, then conversely, she can't hurt me either.
As he retracted his fist, Number One thought to himself, already convinced that the red-clad figure before him could no longer harm him.
However, he was soon taught a lesson for his immature thinking.
The red-clad figure suddenly stopped roaring, and stared at Number One in front of him with his face hidden by long black hair.
To Number One's disbelief, the slender arm of the figure in red grabbed his fist as he was about to retract it.
When the pale hand of the red-clad figure grasped Number One's fist, he instantly felt a chill emanating from the grasped fist and spreading throughout his entire body.
And those seemingly slender arms possessed a strength unlike anything he had ever seen; he couldn't even break free of his fist from that palm.
The figure in red ignored Number One's horrified gaze. With a slight sway of its slender, pale arm, Number One was sent flying like a kite with a broken string, crashing straight into the stairs leading out of the stairwell.
Bang bang bang
As the sound of flesh hitting the stone steps rang out, Number One, who had transformed into a werewolf, was slammed hard onto the steps by the red-clad figure.
Number One struggled to his feet, his back throbbing with pain from bearing the brunt of the impact.
Luckily, I'm in werewolf form right now. If I were in my normal form, this one blow would probably have turned my internal organs into a mush.
Number One was feeling a bit scared as he looked at the red-clad figure blocking the entrance to the stairwell with apprehension.
Of the Thirty-Six Stratagems, running away is the best.
Without saying a word, Number One turned and ran up the stairs to a higher floor, completely lacking the momentum he had when he threw the punch.
