Chapter 35

Chapter 35

The first shooting location in the afternoon was a coffee shop.

The coffee shop is decorated in a trendy, Instagrammable style. When I went in, I saw several well-dressed girls taking photos with their phones, and they even brought along a professional "photographer".

But this thought was immediately rejected by Xu Qingzhou:

No, we cannot use the word "也".

Because my cousin probably isn't a professional photographer.

However, this "amateur" photographer displayed a more confident and composed aura than professional photographers during the shooting process, shouting and laughing so loudly that other guests in the restaurant kept looking in his direction, as if they wanted to take out their cameras and perform a 360° spiral split on the spot!

After several unsuccessful attempts to remind him, the coffee shop owner could only put his hand to his forehead, perhaps already regretting accepting the venue fee from his cousin.

Fortunately, after a morning of filming experience, Chi Jun and Xu Qingzhou were cooperating quite well this time, and they successfully finished filming the coffee shop scene ahead of schedule in half an hour, saving their cousin from a possible beating.

The last filming location was by Lianhu Lake, very close to the coffee shop.

The group walked over, parked the car by the roadside, and Xu Qingzhou changed into a blue strapless wedding dress that was more suitable for the lake view in the temporary dressing room that Rose had set up.

With the veil removed, Xu Qingzhou's outfit now appears more casual and everyday compared to her retro and lively princess style from the morning.

The tulle skirt draped gently, and her fair, slender hands lifted the hem slightly, revealing her gentle demeanor as she moved.

Although the shooting time in the cafe had been compressed to a very short time, the principal had taken time to shoot in the morning, and it took nearly an hour to get here from the church. At this moment, the group was standing on the pebbles by the lake, and the distant horizon was already showing signs of sunset.

Seeing this, my cousin immediately got into a fighting stance:

"Come on, let's finish this in the final stages and get it over with quickly!"

In his opinion, the shooting in front of the church went more and more smoothly in the morning, and the progress in the coffee shop was even faster, so there should be no problem now.

Who knew that man's plans were no match for God's?

During the filming in front of the church and at the cafe, Chi Jun and Xu Qingzhou didn't have any intimate poses other than running hand in hand and having a light hug. They only needed to pose a few times, and naturally, they became more and more comfortable with each shot.

Now, with the serene sunset on the horizon, the tranquil lake, and the soft, gentle light, it's natural to feel the need for more intimate and sweet gestures to highlight the theme.

Tender and sweet.

These two states are a real challenge for Chi Jun and Xu Qingzhou.

Even her cousin's attempts to train her failed at this point, because even if she managed to get the body language right, the overall atmosphere would be greatly diminished if her facial expressions and eyes weren't right.

It doesn't look natural!

My cousin hates things that are fake and formulaic.

As the sun was about to set and it was getting dark, he could no longer bear it and stopped filming, pulling Xu Qingzhou aside.

As for why Chi Jun wasn't included—

Firstly, Chi Jun didn't seem as easy to talk to as Xu Qingzhou. Secondly, his cousin had noticed something during the daytime shoot: Chi Jun seemed nonchalant and didn't care about anything, but in reality, his eyes, expressions, or rather, his shooting style were all unconsciously being led by Xu Qingzhou.

My cousin is quite strategic in his approach. He first praised Xu Qingzhou's performance during the daytime filming, then used the approaching sunset to create a sense of urgency for her, and finally, most importantly, offered her extra money!

His emphasis on this only made Xu Qingzhou more embarrassed:

It was as if she was deliberately dragging her feet and refusing to cooperate in order to get more money.

In fact, Xu Qingzhou was simply afraid that being too intimate would displease Chi Jun, so her movements unconsciously became a little stiff during the process. However, a remark from her cousin reminded her of something—

"It's fake anyway, right? What's there to be embarrassed about? Just go all out and act!"

yes.

It was fake to begin with.

Since it was fake, and she wasn't genuinely trying to take advantage of him, Chi Jun had no reason to blame her...

Xu Qingzhou silently repeated "It's fake, it's fake" to herself as she walked back. To encourage herself, she thought several more times about her cousin's offer to give her more money, as well as the pile of homework she was supposed to do when she got home early that night.

Pressure really does create motivation.

When filming resumed, Xu Qingzhou was very proactive.

"Come on, little sister, hug Xu Jun's neck."

Xu Qingzhou tiptoed, naturally wrapped her arms around Chi Jun's neck, and took the initiative to use her previous filming experience to bring her face close to Chi Jun, offering him a very bright smile.

The state switch was too sudden.

Chi Jun was taken aback, and his upper body subconsciously leaned back. Then he earned his cousin's dissatisfaction: "Wait, why is the groom leaning back? Is the bride going to eat you?"

Chi Jun: "..."

He turned back and glanced at Xu Qingzhou.

He noticed that the little girl was also frowning slightly, looking at him with a hint of regret, as if she was lamenting that if it weren't for his mistake, they could have taken a perfect photo and ended their day's trip as soon as possible.

"..."

Chi Jun put his hands in his pockets, stretched his shoulders and neck a couple of times, and turned to his cousin, saying:

"Again."

This time, however, instead of giving instructions on the movements, his eyes darted around, and he said to Xu Qingzhou:

"Little sister, you can do whatever you want, I'll take the picture."

Xu Qingzhou: "?"

Seeing his cousin give him an affirming look, Xu Qingzhou thought that perhaps his performance just now was not bad, and he couldn't help but feel a little more confident. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly stood on tiptoe and touched his forehead with his cousin's, while gently covering his ears with both hands.

The two were separated in an instant.

Chi Jun could clearly feel the girl's slightly cool and soft fingers. The girl smiled and looked at him with her dark and bright eyes, her pupils reflecting his small figure.

This time, Chi Jun didn't dodge, but his cousin, looking at the finished product, started yelling again:

"Groom, you need to smile! You look too stiff right now. Look how natural and lively the bride is!"

The third time, Xu Qingzhou casually placed one hand on Chi Jun's shoulder and the other hand near Chi Jun's ear. He tilted his head slightly, then suddenly pressed his face against Chi Jun's ear, as if whispering something sweet.

Just then, a breeze blew by the lake, lifting a strand of Xu Qingzhou's hair and obscuring Chi Jun's profile.

This timely intervention saved Chi Jun from further criticism.

As soon as his cousin said "ok" with satisfaction and looked down to check the camera, Xu Qingzhou calmly put down his hands, turned around, and stood up straight. Chi Jun still kept his hands in his pockets. After a while, he frowned and seemed a little displeased.

Xu Qingzhou noticed it.

She gently tugged at his sleeve, silently mouthing the question:

【What’s wrong with you? 】

Chi Jun glanced down at her, seemingly lost in thought. After a few seconds, he raised an eyebrow and said teasingly:

"You usually blush easily, but you're being very proactive now."

Xu Qingzhou: "..."

Isn't this to finish filming sooner?

Remembering that she had indeed taken the initiative to do something too intimate, which seemed to have made Chi Jun unhappy, Xu Qingzhou thought for a moment and then asked Rose for her paper card and pen.

Sorry, no... how about you take the initiative later? I'm fine with it.

For some reason, seeing Xu Qingzhou's serious expression, completely devoid of any unusualness or shyness, as if she were simply doing her job to complete the task, Chi Jun felt a little annoyed. When he saw her calm "I'm fine," that annoyance became even more inexplicable, giving rise to even more displeasure.

Just then, his cousin finished fiddling with the camera and came over to Chi Jun, saying, "Groom, you have to take the initiative too! Look how natural the bride is, how confident she is in posing."

Upon hearing this, Chi Jun glanced at Xu Qingzhou.

"Okay, I'll take the initiative."

He deliberately dragged out the last two "proactive" words.

For some reason, that glance she gave Xu Qingzhou a feeling of being provoked.

The next round of filming will begin soon.

Because of Chi Jun's expression just now, Xu Qingzhou felt a little uneasy and even made some mental preparations in advance.

Just as Chi Jun, with his hands in his pockets, suddenly bent down and leaned closer, staring into her eyes, turning his head to slowly approach as if to kiss her, a soft laugh suddenly came from the side—

"Ha ha."

Two seconds passed.

"Hahaha."

Chi Jun closed his eyes briefly, and two seconds later, he straightened up, staring intently at Rose, who was being lit up.

"why are you laughing?"

Perhaps his expression was somewhat intimidating, Rose shrank back and took two steps back.

"I'm sorry, I just felt that your expression looked like you were taking divorce photos."

Chi Jun: "..."

Even Xu Qingzhou couldn't help but laugh.

Ultimately, this lakeside shoot, led by Xu Qingzhou and with Chi Jun as the assistant, ended relatively smoothly, though not entirely perfectly.

When they finished work, Xu Qingzhou went with Rose to change into her dress.

My cousin carried his camera up the pebbly slope, with Chi Jun following behind.

He hadn't taken two steps when his cousin suddenly turned to look at him.

The gaze made Chi Jun's scalp tingle, and he felt a strange unease. He couldn't help but frown and ask, "What?"

My cousin raised an eyebrow with a sly grin, took two steps back, and stood side by side with Chi Jun.

Do you like her?

Chi Jun looked at him expressionlessly.

"Are you sick or am I sick? She's my sister."

My cousin said "Oh," looked up at the sky, and said:

"That means you're sick."

Chi Jun: "..."

Just then, my cousin's phone rang.

He answered the phone, quickly responding with "uh-huhs" as he walked forward, then hung up and suddenly turned to look at Chi Jun:

"Hiss... Did I ever tell you, about your—sister—?"

He deliberately emphasized the words "your sister," his eyes mocking: "—When we were taking pictures, your face got redder and redder?"

Chi Jun: "You've misunderstood."

"oh."

My cousin turned around and continued walking forward.

After walking a few steps, a large stool suddenly turned around and stared at Chi Jun, who was frowning and touching his face:

"Hahaha, I was just kidding! See, you actually believed me! You've got something to hide!"

Chi Jun: "..."

ill.
