5? Chapter 5

5 Chapter 5

◎Gotcha, you little rascal◎

Song Jinyu was eagerly preparing to escape from prison.

He was the only person in the huge room. If he didn't run away now, when would he?

He broke off a green ivy leaf and put it on his head as a hat. Thinking that the doll had no sense of pain, he closed his eyes in his mind and jumped off the high platform of the cabinet.

The palm-sized doll fell off the cabinet with a thud. Song Jinyu straightened her leg, which had been turned back, and brushed the blonde hair covering her face behind her.

He stepped on the table and looked up at the tissue box that was half his height.

The tissue box was placed neatly on the table, the distance between the left and right ends was so precise it looked like it had been measured with a ruler, and the exposed tissues were folded into a perfect equilateral triangle. From the box to the tissues, everything exuded a stiff and serious feeling.

Song Jinyu climbed onto the tissue box, grabbed a tissue, and pulled out most of it in one swift motion. The equilateral triangle stretched out in mid-air, revealing its crumpled and bruised appearance.

He climbed down from the tissue box and kicked it. The box shifted, and one corner protruded off the edge of the table.

Song Jinyu was immediately satisfied.

He pulled out a piece of paper to use as a cape, put a pothos plant on his head as a hat, and jumped from the table onto the sofa.

The sofa was soft, and when he landed on it, it bounced, and he lost his balance and fell.

Song Jinyu was already used to being thrown around, but as he got up, Song Jinyu stepped on his cloak and tore off a third of it, leaving it on the sofa.

Song Jinyu glanced at it, thinking about the look on someone's face when they saw this scene, and then, without any sense of public decency, patted her butt and jumped off the sofa.

Xiao Ji's living room was as big as a football field to him. Song Jinyu ran around looking around but couldn't find a place to leave; the windows were all too high for him.

Finally, he carried a pothos leaf into the study.

The books in his bedroom were mostly novels and comics, but Xiao Ji's were different. At a glance, they were all books whose titles he couldn't even understand. They were neatly categorized and arranged in shelves from low to high, which was a godsend for people with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Unfortunately, Song Jinyu only has ADHD.

On his way to the study, he lost a fifth of his cloak and a third of his hat, and his body lay on the ground, mercilessly trampled.

Song Jinyu climbed onto the small sofa in the study, stepping on the armored corpse. He stood on the sofa, weighed the distance, and then jumped from the sofa to the chair next to it.

The hat was completely destroyed, and another third of the cloak was trampled off by him.

He climbed from the chair onto the desk in the study.

Opposite the table is the window, and outside the window, the tallow trees transition from green to yellow. Not far from the grass, you can see the surrounding fence.

Song Jinyu thought sarcastically, "No wonder he never went back after moving out of university. So this young master came here to live in a big villa."

The exit has been found. All we need to do is climb out the window, and then we can figure out how to find his parents.

The open window was less than half a meter away from him, but Song Jinyu felt inexplicably unwilling to just walk away like that.

If it weren't for Xiao Ji, he wouldn't have fallen into the flower bed. Now his life is hanging in the balance, while Xiao Ji is living in a big villa, taking two showers a day, without showing the slightest bit of sadness or guilt on his face.

Thinking of this, Song Jinyu was no longer in a hurry to leave.

He climbed from the table onto the bookcase next to it, reached out and grabbed it, then pulled hard.

Splash—

The neatly arranged books were scattered all over the floor.

He jumped onto the table and went to the closed notebook.

The palm-sized doll opened the notebook, looked around, couldn't find a pen, but saw a bottle of ink.

People never feel troubled when they are doing bad things.

With her clumsy hands and feet, Song Jinyu used all her strength to unscrew the cap of the ink bottle. Finding nothing to dip her in, she turned to her tattered cloak.

He coiled the remaining paper into a rope, stood on tiptoe, and poked the tissue into the ink bottle.

Song Jinyu stood in front of the open notebook, holding up the dripping "pen".

What should I write about?

Is Xiao Ji a dog?

Is Xiao Ji not human?

Hmm...it seems there's not much difference.

He looked at the ink splattered on the table, guiltily reached out and wiped it away, raised his arm, and awkwardly wrote the character "肖" (Xiao). He only drew the first line of the character "霁" (Ji) before suddenly leaping into the air.

He was startled, and the tissue in his hand fell to the ground with a thud, splashing black ink onto the pages of the notebook.

The doll stiffly turned its head, and the man who had returned that morning grabbed it by the back of the neck with his fingertips and shook it casually.

"Gotcha, you little rascal."

So engrossed in doing something bad that she didn't hear the door open, Song Jinyu chose to play dead.

The doll's champagne-colored dress was almost completely stained black with ink, and the tips of Xiao Ji's two fingers holding it were also black. He didn't care and just kept holding the doll while looking down at his notebook.

Beneath the ink blots, the words written on them can still be vaguely discerned.

“Xiao…” Xiao Ji read aloud, “Xiao what? Xiao Ji?” He held the doll up to his face, “What does it say about me?”

Song Jinyu will continue to play dead.

Xiao Ji held the doll up and looked at it for a while, then put it in his palm, his voice suddenly becoming a little soft.

"Song Jinyu...is that you?"

The doll had no heart, but Song Jinyu still felt her heart skip a beat.

He didn't know how to respond, and most importantly, he couldn't bring himself to speak.

Xiao Ji didn't urge him. He smoothed his long, curly golden hair with his fingertips, the ink flowing from his clothes onto his hands, and then from his fingertips onto his long, golden hair.

Xiao Ji paused when he saw the black stains on the blonde hair, let go of Song Jinyu, put her on the table, and took out a tissue to wipe his hands.

As he wiped, he said, "Your parents said that if you don't wake up soon, they're going to burn all your figurines."

Song Jinyu looked up in shock.

What? !

Xiao Ji softened his voice, "If it's you, just nod, and I can save your figurine."

Song Jinyu nodded with great difficulty; he raised his hand and turned his head around.

The moment he saw the doll move, Xiao Ji's tense shoulders relaxed instantly. The ink-stained tissue was pierced by his fingertips, and his thumb nail dug into the flesh of his ring finger.

The pain brought him back to his senses.

He tossed aside the tissue and picked up the doll again.

Can you speak?

Song Jinyu pointed to her mouth, which was not open, and then kicked the finger that was pressing down on her.

Xiao Ji pressed down on his foot and asked, "How did you become like this?"

You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?

Song Jinyu kicked him again.

"..."

The man removed his foot from his fingers, looked at the open window, then glanced at the messy study, and narrowed his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me you were turned into a doll? And what are you doing in the study? Trying to leave?"

Song Jinyu noticed the coldness hidden in his eyes, withdrew her foot, and assumed a dignified posture.

Xiao Ji carried the person to the restroom.

Water was in the sink. Song Jinyu's long dress was ripped off in a few quick movements and lay in the trash can. The bald Song Jinyu was then desperately stripped of her hair and laid flat on the counter.

He reached out his not-so-flexible arm to grab Xiao Ji's hand, trying to stand up.

No, why are you poking at him?

Also, why did Xiao Ji accept the fact that he had turned into a doll so quickly?

A washcloth was slapped over her face, washing away all of Song Jinyu's thoughts.

He was like a child who had come home covered in mud, and his parents had to scrub his hands and feet until the gray resin returned to its white state. Only then did Xiao Ji wrap him in a clean washcloth.

These past two days, Song Jinyu has been falling and bumping around, and the BJD doll's joints have cracked in several places, with some scratches that can't be wiped off with a washcloth. Xiao Ji didn't care, carefully tucking the washcloth in and holding down the doll that was raising its hand to hit him.

"Don't move, it's going to fall."

Song Jinyu reached out and grabbed the washcloth, rolling her eyes to look down.

She hadn't noticed it before, but now that Xiao Ji had stripped her clothes off, the doll's overly slender and alluring figure was immediately apparent.

If blushing were visible, Song Jinyu's face would be as red as a monkey's bottom.

The living room and study were a mess, so Xiao Ji carried the doll back to the bedroom. He found the tablet, took the pen attached to the side, and asked, "Does this work?"

The pen was about the same height as Song Jinyu. He tightened the washcloth on his body and stood in front of the tablet with the pen in hand, as if he knew exactly where to go.

Xiao Ji thoughtfully propped up the tablet, opened the notes app, and brought up the keyboard.

Then he saw a doll about the size of his hand carrying a pen as tall as him. The doll's figure was very slender, and the pen rested on his shoulder, looking like it was about to crush him.

The force with which it was poked on the screen was quite strong.

【Xiao Ji is a bastard!!】

Xiao Ji sat in the chair, watching the doll on the table carrying a pen and about to press the exclamation mark again. He raised his hand and slowly pressed the back button, and the words that Song Jinyu had painstakingly typed disappeared from the screen.

Song Jinyu was shocked.

Song Jinyu was furious.

Song Jinyu turned around, pen in hand.

Xiao Ji turned him back around. "Say something useful."

Isn't that useful enough?

Xiao Ji sighed softly and asked him, "How did you become like this?"

Song Jinyu poked his hand hard with her pen before reluctantly continuing to type.

I don't know, I just woke up like this.

After thinking for a moment, he added.

It's all your fault!

Xiao Ji was silent for a moment, then raised his hand to pull the sinking washcloth back up. "It's my fault."

Song Jinyu glanced at him with some surprise.

When did you wake up?

【yesterday. 】

It seems I woke up yesterday when I discovered the doll was missing.

Song Jinyu continued poking.

[How am I? Did my parents think I'm dead and take me to be cremated?]

“No.” Xiao Ji’s tone was normal. “You were unconscious in the hospital for many days, and the doctors couldn’t find the cause.”

How are my parents?

"Thankfully, the doctor said there's no danger to my life."

That's fine...

Song Jinyu breathed a sigh of relief, but then, as if remembering something, she immediately picked up her pen again.

[A figurine!]

Xiao Ji propped her head up with her hand, tilting her head to watch him poke around. When she saw those two words, she narrowed her eyes slightly. "Is that all you care about?"

Song Jinyu looked completely at ease.

What else?

The slight smile in Xiao Ji's eyes faded.

"Instead of showing off your figurines, shouldn't you explain to me what you were planning to do in my study just now?"
