Chapter 10 Big Pig Trotter

Su Ruanruan felt as if her arm was about to break, and it ached terribly.

"You didn't..."

Have eyes...

But when she saw the man's face clearly, she swallowed back all the words she was about to say.

Are you... alright?

If a piece of pig iron hits tofu, who do you think will get hurt?

Huo Yan initially didn't want to pay attention to the other person, but when he heard that the voice sounded somewhat familiar, and that familiarity was mixed with a tremor, he finally stopped and looked at the woman who was speaking.

Those clear, bright eyes held a familiar feeling for him; their gaze was strikingly similar to that of the woman imprinted in his mind, the one he was about to be engaged to.

Thinking about what happened in the prison yesterday, Su Ruanruan felt a little guilty. She lowered her eyes and dared not look at him, afraid that he would see through her feigned gaze.

But when Huo Yan saw her like this, he felt a surge of indescribable emotions, a mix of anger and irritation.

The workers and young girls in the tofu shop had been busy, but when they saw Su Ruanruan, they immediately stopped what they were doing, bowed, and said, "Boss."

Su Ruanruan nodded and said calmly, "Okay, go ahead and get busy! Remember what I said, don't call me boss if there are outsiders around."

"yes."

Those people then went back to their work.

Su Ruanruan walked towards a side room and knocked three times. The door opened from the inside.

A woman in purple saw Su Ruanruan and her expression instantly brightened.

"Master, you've arrived."

Su Ruanruan sat down in the chair. "Did you bring any news back last night?"

"Yes, I brought it. My master's uncle and his family already know."

Ziwu poured her another cup of tea and showed her the account book.

"Master, our tofu shop is doing exceptionally well this month, and several restaurants have asked us to supply them on a long-term basis."

Su Ruanruan looked at the ledger, her brows furrowing slightly.
