After dinner, Mu Bai handed Su Ruanruan a warm bowl of medicinal soup. After she swallowed the dark medicine, Mu Bai stuffed a sweet apricot into her mouth.
Su Ruanruan smiled; it was a sweet, very sweet smile…
Her gaze fell thoughtfully on the plate of dried fruit on the table.
"Brother Mu Bai, you should try some too." Su Ruanruan smiled mischievously. She picked up the smallest piece of dried apricot, put it in her mouth, and offered it to Mu Bai's moist red lips.

She knew this was the place where Mu Bai was most easily moved.
Mu Bai closed his eyes, his expression suppressed, his voice hoarse, "Ruan Ruan, don't..."

The night breeze swayed the tender branches, while the bed curtains were bathed in warm sunlight.

Su Ruanruan walked over quietly and peeked through the crack in the door. Mu Bai was too focused on his work to notice the rustling sound.
By candlelight, Su Ruanruan could only see that he was holding a pen in his hand, and he looked so focused that he must be studying by candlelight.
She gently closed the door again and tiptoed back into the room. Unable to sleep, she imitated Mu Bai by grinding ink and picking up a brush.
However, she wasn't reading or copying books; instead, she was writing "Youthful Night Moon Volume Two," which included both text and illustrations and was expected to be even more popular than the previous set.
