Su Ruanruan shuddered and looked up, only to see Su Xiaoqiang's other hand, which was hanging in mid-air, frozen in place, with a sharpened chopstick piercing through his palm, and scarlet blood dripping down.
How terrifying! Luckily, she was bent over, otherwise, it might have been her head that was being stabbed. She quickly took a big step back. Turning her head to look, she indeed saw Huo Yan and Wei Zheng in a corner.
Wei Zheng even smiled and waved at her. Huo Yan, meanwhile, strode towards her.
In front of everyone, he wiped away the few drops of blood that had fallen on her forehead, took Su Ruanruan's hand and examined it repeatedly, "Does it hurt?"
Does it hurt? He actually asked her in front of everyone if it hurt?
Amidst the astonished gazes of the crowd, Su Ruanruan pulled her hand back and pointed to her head, "Shouldn't I be more concerned about my head?"
"You don't believe me?" Huo Yan was so angry he almost laughed. Even if she were blindfolded, he wouldn't shoot her in the head.
She reached out and grabbed Su Ruanruan's wrist again, "Let's go, aren't you in the way?"
Su Ruanruan struggled several times but he held her firmly and she couldn't shake him off, so she could only let him lead her outside.
As she went down the stairs, she glanced at Su Xiaoqiang again. He was wailing and looking at them with red eyes and resentment, but when he met Huo Yan's piercing gaze, he dared not speak out.
Huo Yan naturally noticed, and with a smirk, he said coldly, "Useless!"
Wei Zheng followed behind them until they left the teahouse, then asked curiously, "How are your fingers so powerful? How come someone can't stand up with just a light touch?"
Su Ruanruan looked down at Huo Yan's large hand, but he still wouldn't let go of her.
Upon hearing Wei Zheng's question, Su Ruanruan was at a loss for words.
She couldn't very well tell him that it was a matter of biomechanics—that to stand, one's center of gravity must be on both feet to support the body, which requires leaning forward or slightly pulling one's feet back, placing the force in front to stand. With her forehead pressed against his fingers, her weight was on her buttocks, and she couldn't muster any strength to stand.
"You could do it just as easily as I do. Even Officer Huo might not be a match for you."
"Really?" Wei Zheng's eyes lit up. He was no match for Huo Yan, but since Su Ruanruan had said so, he really wanted to give it a try.
Huo Yan moved closer to Su Ruanruan, "Hmm? I'm no match for him?"
Su Ruanruan counted on his fingers and said casually, "Hmm, you can't win."
"You think I'm not good enough?"
"Yeah, you can't."
Huo Yan gritted his teeth and whispered in her ear, "Do you know what a man cares about most is when others say he can't do it?"
"Don't you know whether I'm capable or not?"
"If you don't know, I don't mind letting you review it again."
Su Ruanruan exclaimed in surprise, her body already airborne.
He hoisted Su Ruanruan onto his shoulder and walked away.
Wei Zheng watched the people leave into the night, scratching his head in confusion.
What's going on? Why did they just leave like that?
Now that he's gone, who will he turn to to verify whether Su Ruanruan was right or wrong?

Su Ruanruan gripped the edge of the table tightly with both hands, enduring the surging waves behind her.
"Gently... gently..." Her voice was charming yet husky.
"Um."
Like the warbling of a nightingale, her seductive moans entered my ears, making my blood boil instantly.
Men's words are never to be trusted. Once a man has tasted the sweetness of sex, he'll never tire of it.
The pleas for mercy from Su Ruanruan finally subsided, but it was two hours later.
Su Ruanruan lay limp on the bed like a noodle, not wanting to move at all.
A strand of hair clung to his damp cheek. Huo Yan gently brushed it aside and touched his somewhat charming and rosy cheek.
He teased, "Am I even capable, huh?"
Okay, he's really good.
She was so exhausted that her body was completely broken.
Su Ruanruan glared at him fiercely, then closed her eyes helplessly.
She hadn't had a proper night's sleep in ages; she'd been suffering from insomnia ever since she returned from Lingzhou.
It turns out that even when you're physically exhausted, you can still get a good night's sleep.
"Are you hungry, hmm?" Huo Yan asked softly.
Su Ruanruan's voice was hoarse, and she didn't want to say a word. She opened her eyes and glanced at him, then turned away. Soon after, she could be heard breathing softly.
Huo Yan's rough fingertips traced down her cheek, finally stopping on her scabbed shoulder, where a thumb-length scar had grown tender new flesh, its color quite different from the surrounding skin.
This was left by Butcher Zhou with his hook. It wouldn't have mattered to him, but it's a bit imperfect on her delicate body. Young girls all like to look beautiful.
He boiled some water and used it to wipe Su Ruanruan's body. After taking a cold shower in the yard, he crawled into bed.
He excitedly held her soft, fragrant body in his arms. Her sweet scent filled his nostrils, and he quickly drifted off to sleep.
He never dared to dream of such a speed at which he entered a dream.

Su Ruanruan slept very soundly; if it weren't for the chirping of sparrows outside the window, she probably wouldn't have woken up.
She reached out and rubbed her aching back. Having provoked Huo Yan, that big wolfhound, her back was probably going to be ruined.
It was really exhilarating, but also really tiring.
"Awake?" A hand reached out from behind her, gently massaging her waist.
Su Ruanruan turned around and glared at him. He was dressed neatly and looked quite presentable.
Su Ruanruan got up and dressed, and was stunned when she saw the pinch marks on her waist.
He gritted his teeth and said, "Are you a dog or something?!"
Huo Yan glanced down and gave an embarrassed smile. He realized he might have gone a bit too far last night.
That slender waist, I'm afraid he'll snap it in two.
