The moment Su Ruanruan's back hit the wall, she recognized the beggar as Su Xiaoqiang.
Right now, her back is a little sore; she guessed she'd bumped it again and gotten a bruise.

Yet Huo Yan felt a sense of comfort; she still treated him somewhat differently.
Her only unease stemmed from her worry that he might cause trouble.
Just then, Jin Yu and Niu Mang arrived, and Huo Yan said, "I'll leave this to you."
Jin Yu pulled Su Xiaoqiang, who was pale and groaning in pain, off the ground.
"Brother, don't worry."
Huo Yan sheathed his sword and walked towards Su Ruanruan.
His tall figure cast a shadow, and Su Ruanruan looked up at him.
Earlier, she saw a fleeting murderous intent in Huo Yan's eyes when he looked at Su Xiaoqiang.
Su Ruanruan shivered; she didn't seem to know much about Huo Yan.
Seeing that Su Ruanruan had no reaction, he picked her up by the waist.
"No, let go of me, there are so many people watching."
Huo Yan ignored her and continued walking. Some onlookers made way for him when they saw him coming.
It's better to avoid trouble; nobody wants to mess with him.
Su Ruanruan was taken to Huo Yan's home again.
"Will you take it off, or should I take it off for you?"
Su Ruanruan pouted, but didn't hesitate, and took off her clothes layer by layer, leaving only her close-fitting bodice.
Huo Yan looked and saw that his back was indeed a little red.
"How stupid," Huo Yan said sarcastically as he applied the medicine to her.
Su Ruanruan remained noncommittal; she did indeed seem to lack intelligence.
"Thank you for today."
Huo Yan suddenly leaned forward, close to Su Ruanruan's ear, his hot breath spraying onto her face.
"I saved you again, so tell me, how will you repay me?"
How to repay her? Su Ruanruan hadn't thought about it.
Moreover, this matter is likely to be somewhat tricky.
"So many people saw you cut off Su Xiaoqiang's hand, what... what are you going to do? Have I dragged you into this?"
Huo Yan, however, grabbed Su Ruanruan's waist and placed her on his lap.
"Since you know you'll drag me down with you, shouldn't you at least offer me some comfort?"
His lips landed on the back of Su Ruanruan's neck, gently biting her delicate skin.
Su Ruanruan cried out in pain, "You...!"
Huo Yan pressed close to her, saying, "Su Ruanruan, I can't stand seeing you with other men."
"I thought I could leave you gracefully, but I found that I couldn't."
His lips landed on Su Ruanruan's back again, tracing the lines of her body and fanning the flames. "Aren't men always extra indulgent towards their first woman? How have you thought about what you said that day?"
Su Ruanruan bit her lip tightly to keep herself from making a sound, but when she heard Huo Yan's words, her brows furrowed.
"Huo Yan, I've said it before, I will not be your concubine."
But in return, they suffered a devastating and relentless attack from the other side...
Su Ruanruan lay on the bed, fast asleep.
Huo Yan, however, was in high spirits. After cleaning up Su Ruanruan, he began to apply medicine to her wounds.
He admitted that he had indeed been a bit reckless today, and that he was angry with her.
But now, seeing her like a dehydrated fish, he regretted torturing her a little too much.
Su Ruanruan slept for a long time, and when she woke up, it was already pitch black outside.
My throat is dry and burning, my back aches, and my legs are sore.
One particular area was completely immobile, burning with pain.

Su Ruanruan pursed her lips; she was indeed hungry.
No matter what, you can't joke around with your stomach.
She got dressed and got out of bed, her legs trembling so badly they were weak.
Upon seeing this, Huo Yan quickly picked her up and placed her on a stool.
Su Ruanruan ate slowly and deliberately, while Huo Yan looked down at her.
His gaze was so sharp that it made Su Ruanruan feel uneasy.
"What are you looking at? Look again and I'll gouge your eyes out." Su Ruanruan glared at him back, annoyed.
Huo Yan smiled; he had never seen such a vivid and lively woman as Su Ruanruan.
She is different from women from the countryside, and also different from women from noble families.
There was something about her that always attracted him.
Huo Yan tapped his finger lightly on the table. "Su Ruanruan, why aren't you afraid of corpses or bloody scenes?"
Su Ruanruan paused for a moment, then chuckled, "Maybe I'm just naturally cold-blooded."
