Chapter 19 Picture Album

Su Ruanruan remained silent, only looking at Zhou the Butcher, who had a wary expression.

His knife was pressed against her neck; if Su Ruanruan uttered a single careless word, he would tear her to pieces.

"Nonsense, you know the answer already, of course it's to go to sleep."

Su Ruanruan yawned, tilted her head slightly, and moved it away from the blade.

Outside the door, Su Fangfang clutched her stomach, peering through the window at the two intertwined figures inside. She sneered, "Don't think I don't know what you're doing. Having an affair in the middle of the night, you're a shameless woman..."

Then she cried out again, "My stomach! Su Ruanruan, why are you okay after eating chicken legs...?"

Before she could finish speaking, her stomach started rumbling loudly, and she farted repeatedly. She rushed to the outhouse.

Butcher Zhou watched with disgust as the person outside left.

He didn't let go, keeping Su Ruanruan in his arms, still holding the knife in his hand.

His chest pressed against Su Ruanruan's back, and his foul-smelling lips landed on Su Ruanruan's shoulder.

Su Ruanruan looked down at the knife resting on her lap.

So sharp, so scary.

The sound of light footsteps came from the courtyard again. Su Fangfang came out of the outhouse, leaning against the wall, and knocked on Su Ruanruan's door again.

Butcher Zhou's eyes flashed with murderous intent. If she kept making a scene like this, wouldn't she wake up everyone in the yard?

A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes as he raised the hand holding the knife.

Su Ruanruan turned around abruptly and bumped into those murderous eyes.

What is he going to do?

Were they planning to commit murder in her little house?

That won't do. Although she hates Su Fangfang, if Su Fangfang loses her life here, she will not be able to escape the law.

Besides, who can guarantee that he won't go so far as to kill her too?

"Sir, please calm down."

But before she could finish speaking, the cleaver, gleaming with a chilling aura, was once again pressed against her neck, the icy touch instantly spreading throughout her body.

She was one step closer to death.

Su Ruanruan smiled ingratiatingly, "Sir, please allow me to speak with Sister Fangfang for a few minutes, lest she discover our relationship."

Butcher Zhou's eyes flashed with a fierce light as he whispered a threat, "Don't try anything funny."

"Sigh... okay."

Su Ruanruan carefully pushed away the knife held to her neck, got out of bed, and shuffled towards the front door in her slippers.

She only opened the door a crack, revealing half her face as she looked at Su Fangfang, who was peering inside from outside.

Seeing that Su Ruanruan wasn't even wearing an undergarment, only a bodice embroidered with lotus flowers, her bare skin was covered in red marks.

Su Fangfang was stunned by her appearance.

"You...you actually brought a man home?!"

"Shh, Fangfang, don't be so loud. It wouldn't be good if we disturbed the others."

Su Fangfang snorted coldly and looked into the room, but she couldn't see the man's face clearly, only a strong back.

"If you want me to keep this a secret, that's fine, but you'll still let me beat and scold you without fighting back, just like before. If I tell you to go east, you'll obediently go east and be my lackey, how about that?"

Su Ruanruan really wanted to move aside and let that butcher Zhou kill her.

Be her lackey? Dream on!

Su Ruanruan gave a mysterious smile and looked at Su Fangfang.

"How about we change the terms? Fangfang, aren't you curious why all the men in the village like me?"

Su Fangfang immediately became interested and hurriedly asked, "Why?"

Su Ruanruan handed her the sketchbook she was holding in her other hand and said mysteriously, "I bought this from a bookstore in the county town at a high price. I have been carefully treasuring it. Today I have no choice but to part with it. Please don't tell anyone about my situation, Sister Fangfang."

"However, you must figure out what this manual says, writes, and draws on your own. You must not ask others, otherwise it will not work."

Su Fangfang held the sketchbook in front of her eyes, flipped through it casually a few times, and then her eyes widened in surprise.

"Are you telling the truth?"

Su Ruanruan smiled and said, "Of course it's true, but everyone's comprehension is different. Look, this picture book is worn out from being read so many times, and I've only grasped half of it."

"Fangfang has been smarter than me since she was little, and she will definitely understand the secrets of this matter sooner than I do. If that day ever comes, I hope Fangfang will be willing to teach me..."

Su Fangfang shoved the picture book into her arms, looking impatient. "You already said you can't tell anyone else, and you still want to trick me into telling you? Dream on."

She didn't want to argue with Su Ruanruan any further. She had seen Su Ruanruan's gaze fixed on the picture book. If Su Ruanruan changed her mind and forcibly took it away, it would be a loss for her.

Seeing that Su Fangfang had returned to her room, Su Ruanruan didn't want to close the door.

If it were before, she would probably have already sprinted 100 meters by now, but her foot isn't fully healed yet, so she'd probably be caught and brought back after only a couple of steps.

The original owner lost her life at his hands, and she couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't happen again.

Just then, Butcher Zhou got off the bed and closed the front door with one hand.

His other hand had already wrapped around her slender waist, pulling her toward the bed.

On the other side, Su Fangfang lit an oil lamp and carefully looked at the old picture book. Although she couldn't read, she could understand the pictures.

Can massaging your hands like this really make your little hill bigger?

It was unheard of, but looking at the old, yellowed pages and thinking about Su Ruanruan's appearance just now...

She became more and more convinced. No wonder Su Ruanruan always lit an oil lamp every night; it turned out she was "studying by lamplight."

But after reading only a few pages, her stomach started hurting again, so she quickly ran to the outhouse.

As she passed Su Ruanruan's room, she stopped. She really wanted to know who Su Ruanruan was with at that moment.
