The man was tall and vaguely resembled the constable from last night's rain.
The man who said that Ruan Ruan and he had been intimate.
My chest started to ache again, a sharp, throbbing pain.
"What's wrong? Why do you suddenly look pale?"
Mu Bai shook his head, "It's alright, I forgot I still have something to buy. Brother Fang, sit for a while at the tea stall up ahead, I'll be right back."
Su Ruanruan was walking down the street when she was startled by a figure that suddenly appeared behind her.
But when she saw that the person was Huo Yan, all she could think of was the scene of the few of them pretending to be ghosts and scaring her that night.
That's terrible!
But last night, Mu Bai said that it was thanks to him that he opened the door for her in time, otherwise he would have been standing in the rain all night and would not have been able to come in and comfort her.

Huo Yan pinned Su Ruanruan against the wall, where the light was dim and her expression was hidden.
When Mu Bai arrived, he stared blankly at the scene in the alley before him, his burning heart sinking into despair.
His eyes stung terribly, and his hands trembled slightly in his sleeves. He couldn't stay any longer; clutching his chest, he fled the place as if escaping.
Even when he bumped into someone, he would just lower his head and apologize repeatedly before quickly walking away without looking back.
On the other end, Su Ruanruan's arm ached from Huo Yan's pinching.
He glanced into the distance one last time before finally releasing Su Ruanruan's arm.
He licked his back teeth with the tip of his tongue and spat out a mouthful of bloody foam.
His fingertip slid across his lips, leaving a trail of bright red blood.
"That's ruthless!"
Su Ruanruan's eyes were so red they looked like they could bleed, her face was pale, and her icy hands were clenched tightly.
Why are you doing this to me?
"You said I was your man and that you wouldn't let that scholar cause you any more trouble, and now you're blaming me?"
Huo Yan felt a little guilty under her gaze, but he still continued, "If I don't do this, how can I make them believe that you are my woman?"
Su Ruanruan calmly scanned the surroundings but did not find anyone.
"You knew all along? You actually knew? How did you find out?"
How did Huo Yan find out about this? Su Ruanruan was completely baffled. When she made that harsh statement, it was just her and Tong Sheng.
