Chapter 76 You Can't Talk About People During the Day

Su Ruanruan got up from Mu Bai's arms and raised her slightly red and swollen eyes.

"Go back and change your clothes quickly. You've just recovered, so don't catch a cold again."

"Okay." Mu Bai ruffled her hair.

But he discovered that Su Ruanruan's body and the bedding were also soaked by his clothes.

I can't sleep anymore.

The two exchanged a smile and silently lowered their heads.

Su Ruanruan blushed for the first time. She could feel her heart ripple as if a dragonfly had gently touched it.

Mu Bai returned to his room to wash up and change his clothes.

Su Ruanruan went to the kitchen to start a fire. After the water boiled, she added chopped scallions and ginger slices, and after simmering them for a while, she added brown sugar.

The brown sugar was borrowed from Mu Bai when I had menstrual cramps last time.

After Su Ruanruan poured the ginger soup into a bowl and cooled it to lukewarm, Mu Bai had already finished getting ready and came out.

The young man comes into view, untouched by the dust of time; his smile is as radiant as a thousand flowers in bloom.

Mu Bai was dressed in white, as white as snow, and Su Ruanruan was almost captivated by him.

"Soft..."

Seeing him come in, Su Ruanruan realized what was happening and quickly waved to him.

"Brother Mu Bai, I just made some ginger soup. Come and drink it to sweat it out and get rid of the dampness."

"Okay." Mu Bai picked up the glass and drank it down in one gulp.

A warm sensation slid down my throat, and I felt much warmer overall.

The two sat in the kitchen, the firewood burning brightly, warming them comfortably.

Outside, a light rain was still falling, and a light wind was blowing.

Su Ruanruan leaned on Mu Bai's shoulder, looking at the dark night outside the door and listening to the pattering rain.

Bai Ruan crawled out from under the covers and stretched.

But they discovered that the house, which once carried the fragrance of their daughter's home, was now empty except for it.

It leaned down; the bed was a bit high.

"Waaah..."

It whimpered a few times in a spoiled manner, but no one paid any attention to it.

It sat by the bed for a while, but the person it longed for never appeared.

Her white, soft tongue curled up into a pink one.

Mustering my courage, I jumped down and landed on the cold ground.

Its round, plump body rolled around a few times, looking like a small white ball of fluff.

The door to the house has several cracks and looks broken.

It squeezed through the crack in the door.

But they found the yard was wet, and all four little paws were soaking in puddles.

Even their bodies were gradually getting wet from the rolling rain.

It tilted its head back, and the raindrops hitting the tip of its nose were so funny.

Bai Ruan was immediately captivated, like a playful child, and forgot what she was originally supposed to do.

In the kitchen, the two held hands tightly, their breaths mingling, their four red lips pressed together, their fragrant saliva rubbing against each other's intertwined tongues, the air filled with sweet pink bubbles.

Neither of them spoke, yet everything was conveyed through their passionate kiss.

After a long while, the two separated, their breathing unsteady.

Su Ruanruan looked up and stared at Mu Bai's handsome face.

A gentle smile appeared at the corner of her eyes, and tiny glimmers of light gradually emerged from her autumn-like pupils.

Mu Bai's ears turned red again from Su Ruanruan's gaze, and he turned his head slightly to the side.

But they found Bai Ruan, soaked to the bone, standing outside the door, tilting her head and looking at them.

"Woof..."

Su Ruanruan finally came to her senses and noticed Bai Ruan outside the door.

I couldn't help but exclaim, "You little rascal, what happened to you?"

The white creature whimpered softly, letting Su Ruanruan hold it by the fire.

Its gaze was drawn to the crackling flames, and it squatted on the ground, motionless.

Su Ruanruan and Mu Bai couldn't help but laugh out loud at the same time, one adding firewood and the other boiling water.

After the water boiled, I found a basin for washing clothes, adjusted the water temperature, and then put the white rabbit in.

A chilly wind rustled through the courtyard, and rain pattered against the green leaves.

The kitchen, however, was filled with warmth and laughter.

Su Ruanruan slept for a long time, and when she woke up, she was still a little confused looking at the blue gauze curtains.

All she remembered was leaning on Mu Bai's shoulder in the kitchen, watching Bai Ruan having a great time.

I unknowingly fell asleep afterwards.

She looked to her side and saw no trace of it being pressed down.

She looked into the distance and saw a stack of papers on the table.

After she fell asleep, Mu Bai simply stayed by her side and copied books all night.

Su Ruanruan put on her shoes and got out of bed. She looked around and saw a piece of paper under a book.

"Ruanruan, I'm going to the academy. I've left you breakfast in the kitchen, remember to eat it."

...

The sky was clear and blue, without a single cloud.

Today is a good day; even the air feels sweeter.

Her pink bed sheet and the coat she wore yesterday were hanging on the clothes rack in the yard.

Su Ruanruan reached out to touch it; it was half-dry.

The surface still retains a faint scent of soapberry.

She was sleeping soundly and had no idea when Mu Bai had washed the clothes.

Under the stone table in the courtyard, Bai Ruan was lazily basking in the sun. At her feet lay half a bowl of leftover rice porridge.

Su Ruanruan walked towards the kitchen and saw two steamed buns, a bowl of rice porridge, and some side dishes warming on the stove.

Su Ruanruan ate everything clean and then tidied up the kitchen.

She sat in the courtyard and played with Bai Ruan for half an hour.

The smile on her face never faded. Looking at the tidy courtyard, the lovely Bai Ruan, and Mu Bai who was studying away from home, Su Ruanruan felt a sense of peace and tranquility.

Oh, right, she almost forgot about Su Xiaoxi.

If life continues peacefully like this, that would be fine.

But you know, she still needs to earn more money.

Mu Bai wanted it, but money was something she couldn't give up either.
