Attending a wedding
Genji Takiya's friend, whom he is going to marry, is a classmate from Suzuran High School. He is known as the strongest monster, has never been defeated at Suzuran High School, and has an invincible legend. His name is Megumi Hayashida.
The wedding was Western-style and held at a hotel.
In Japan, bridesmaids/groomsmen are called "nakato". Generally, it is more appropriate for a couple to do this. Genji told the three girls that they were not really bridesmaids, but were just there to fill in the gaps because the bride had too few relatives and friends.
The ceremony was held in the afternoon. When Yuko and the others arrived at the hotel, they discovered that it was not at all as Genji had said. The bride's relatives were not few, but none at all!
When Genji's girlfriend, Ruka, saw Yuko, she greeted her very familiarly. Ruka was friends with the bride, and she knew that Genji must not have explained things clearly to them, so she explained to them: "Because the bride came from an orphanage."
In other words, orphans who have no relatives.
Not only did the bride have no relatives, but the groom's elders also did not appear. Most of the guests present were young people of Genji's age.
This brings us to the groom, Hayashida Megumi's, background. His original surname wasn't Hayashida; he took his stepfather's surname after his mother remarried. His stepfather treated him very well, but this aroused resentment and jealousy in his stepbrother. One day, Hayashida Megumi returned home from school to find his stepbrother had stabbed their father. During the ensuing struggle, the stepbrother was stabbed, and ultimately, both the father and stepbrother died from their injuries.
Although the police proved his innocence, the remorseful Lin Tianhui took all the blame upon himself and claimed that he had killed his father and brother, which led to rumors and naturally no relatives attending his wedding.
But there is one exception.
Haruki Hayashida, also known as Apa, had heard legends about his cousin since childhood and greatly admired him. Despite his family's advice, he insisted on coming to congratulate his cousin.
Ye Ye was the first to spot him, since there were only two or three tables of people present.
Apa was also surprised to see Yuko and the others: "What are you doing here?"
"Lin Tian, you look so different in that suit! So handsome!" Ye Ye gave him a thumbs up.
Apa scratched his head a little embarrassedly: "Hehe."
“Yuko’s brother is the groom’s friend, and it seems they’re from the same high school,” Emma explained to him.
"Who?" Apa looked around at each of the guests with some confusion.
“That one,” Emma pointed to him, “is called Genji Takiya.”
"You're actually Genji Takiya's sister?" Apa stared wide-eyed at Yuko. Suzuran High School was a place Apa had always longed for; in fact, it was influenced by that experience that he became a biker gang member. Unfortunately, it was closed down due to declining birth rates, and Apa's dream was dashed. Genji Takiya, Tamao Serizawa, Kaburagi Senpu, and Harumichi Bouya were practically legendary figures to Apa.
"You're actually Genji Takiya's sister?!" Apa repeated, still in shock.
Yuko: ...
“Don’t blame Apa, he’s never been good at remembering things,” Nono said to Yuko.
Because there were no parents or elders present, the wedding was kept simple. The process was also relatively straightforward. Apa and Yuko, as the matchmakers, were responsible for presenting the rings and drinking the nuptial wine. The two waited by the table, and Yuko noticed that Apa was either adjusting his tie or wiping his sweat, looking very nervous.
Despite appearing to be a wild and impulsive person, he would get nervous about ruining his cousin's wedding. Yuko's opinion of him changed considerably, so she thought for a moment and whispered to him, "Apa-kun, what should we do? The ring we need for the ceremony seems to be missing."
Apa's tense emotions were ignited. If it weren't for the fact that Yuko was pretty and a girl, he would have already punched her in the face. He said urgently and fiercely, "Hurry up and go find her!"
Yuko wasn't intimidated by his sternness. Instead, she smiled and held out her hand in front of him, revealing the two rings lying safely in her palm: "Ta-da—I used magic to bring them back!"
Apa, deflated by her actions: ...
Yuko smiled and asked him, "Are you not nervous anymore?"
Apa then realized he was no longer nervous! As if he were seeing Yuko for the first time, he exclaimed in surprise, "Yuko, you can actually use magic!"
Yuko: ...
After a brief silence, Yuko waved her hand: "No, it's just that I read in a book that encountering new stimuli when you're nervous can actually calm you down."
Apa didn't understand at all, but he thought it was amazing and exclaimed sincerely, "You really do know magic!"
It was impossible to explain... Yuko gave up trying to explain.
Through this experience, Yuko learned that Haruki Hayashida is a very simple person.
The people in Dongwan are all very good people.
Yuko simply couldn't imagine that Dongwan would do something to harm civilians in the future, so what exactly happened? These questions will only be answered when Wudao returns.
The wedding concluded successfully, and the Lin family saw off all the guests.
The following day, the Okinawa trip officially began.
Their flight was at 7 a.m., so they had to get up at 5 a.m. to wash up, change clothes, eat breakfast, and load their luggage into the car.
"Are you sure you don't need me to go with you, Miss?" The nanny, Shimizu, asked again with some concern.
As Yuko prepared to board the car, she held a sun hat in her hand and smiled reassuringly, "Ms. Shimizu, I'm already fourteen years old and a big girl."
Nono chimed in, "That's right, we'll look after each other, so Ms. Shimizu doesn't need to worry too much."
"Then... be careful on the road."
The bus started moving, and to make it easier to pick up the remaining seven people, they decided to meet at Mikey's house. There were few people on the road in the early morning; because it was summer, it got light very quickly. The three girls all sat in the front row. Emma and Nono sat together, while Yuko sat alone, next to her with a bulging backpack and some food such as milk and bananas.
Soon, the car arrived at Sano's house. After stopping, the car door opened, and Nono rolled down the window and shouted to them to get in the car quickly.
The boys chatted as they boarded the bus, greeting each other and creating a lively atmosphere. However, perhaps because they had woken up so early, they weren't in high spirits and kept yawning. Not only that, Mikey even fell asleep again while waiting, with Draken carrying his luggage and the ground staff carrying him to the bus.
Once everyone had arrived, Yuko told the driver to start the car: "We can set off now."
As the car started, Yuko stood up and distributed the rice balls from her backpack: "Please pass them to the back." She had asked the servants to prepare these at home because she was worried that everyone might not have eaten breakfast since the departure time was so early.
"Thanks, I'm actually hungry." Chang and Mikey sat behind Yuko; Chang seemed relatively energetic, while Mikey was fast asleep. Behind them sat a solitary Haru Chiya.
Draken and Yihu sat behind Ye Ye and Emma, followed by Apa and San Gu.
Yuko looked at Santu, who was sitting alone in the back. He was propping his face up and looking out the window. His mask was pulled down, and his cheeks were bulging as he chewed food.
After distributing the items, Yuko got up and went over to sit next to Santu. Santu saw Yuko through the reflection in the car window, but he didn't even look up or ask her why she sat down there, knowing the answer would be boring anyway.
"Are Yuko and Santu very close?" Nono asked, turning around and climbing onto the chair.
"Who knows?" Draken said, eating his food, too lazy to think about it.
"I'm not entirely sure, but it was Xiaoyouzi who invited him to participate in this event," Yihu provided his information.
"That kid used to be a real troublemaker, but he seems to have behaved a lot since Mikey threw him into the Fifth Division." Draken also briefly mentioned the Three Paths.
"He doesn't sound like a good kid. Mitani is definitely the best fit for Yuko," Nono asserted.
Draken was speechless at her love-obsessed remarks: "How come you can think of Yuko as a romantic partner no matter who she's with? Even if Yuko has those thoughts, it's none of your business, is it? Are you her mother?"
"Because I'm really worried. I feel like anyone could easily trick her with a few sweet words." Nono spoke with the air of someone who'd been there before, after all, she herself had won over Yuko with just a few words.
Draken said nonchalantly, "Aren't you with her? You and Emma can keep an eye on her."
"I..." Nono held back what she was about to say and changed the subject impolitely, saying, "Eat your rice ball, Ryuguji!" She made a face at Draken and turned away.
"Ye Ye, your worries are a bit unnecessary. Have you forgotten what Xiao You's family does? The guy who lied to her will definitely be in big trouble." Emma's insightful comment hit the nail on the head.
Ye Ye thought about it and agreed.

After arriving at the airport, Mikey first picked up his ticket and then checked his luggage. Everything went smoothly. However, Mikey was forced to wake up during the security check and became quite grumpy. He cooperated with the security check with a sour face and did not calm down until the check-in.
Yuko looked at her boarding pass; everyone had already confirmed their seats when they picked up their tickets.
The plane seats are in a three-seater configuration.
Apa, Ye Ye, and Yi Hu are in a row.
Santu, Santani, and Emma are in a row.
Draken and two strangers.
All that's left is the venue, Yuko, and Mikey.
Oh no, I have to sit with Sano-kun, and when he's in a bad mood... Yuko felt uneasy.
