Chapter 67: Three Days of the Great Dream (Day 3) 5

"Qi Ling baby, when can we go out?"

Ji Huaichuan leaned on Zhang Qiling's shoulder and sighed boredly.

Zhang Qiling shook his head quietly, not knowing what he was thinking.

Seeing that Zhang Qiling was silent, Ji Huaichuan leaned in and pecked his lips gently, then asked softly, "Is there something bothering you?"

Zhang Qiling still shook his head, "No."

Ji Huaichuan sighed softly, hugged Zhang Qiling and said slowly: "I know you don't like staying here. I explored this Lost Array yesterday and found that the core of the array showed signs of loosening. It may have something to do with the array spirit running away. When the time comes, we will break the array and get out."

Zhang Qiling just nodded, without commenting on what Ji Huaichuan said. The doubt in his heart was not this, but the mark that Shen Tingsi drew on him, which had not moved for a long time.

The next morning, Zhang Qiling and Ji Huaichuan went down the mountain because Ji Huaichuan received an invitation to attend Xiao Wuxie's birthday party. It had been two years since they first met Xiao Wuxie.

Before Ji Huaichuan left, he searched in his coffin for a long time but couldn't find a suitable gift for Xiao Wuxie, so they decided to go to the capital first and then to Star City. In fact, this was just an excuse for Ji Huaichuan to go out and have fun.

Zhang Qiling naturally had no objection. He just had to listen to Ji Huaichuan on these small matters and he was only responsible for following him.

When the two arrived in the capital, Ji Huaichuan insisted on going to Panjiayuan because Shen Tingsi's lair was there. At this time, Shen Tingsi was busy breaking up with Zhang Rishan and did not even ask about Ji Huaichuan going to his shop to get something.

Ji Huaichuan had no interest in prying into other people's family affairs, and he had no idea who the "very annoying" person that Shen Tingsi mentioned was. Shen Tingsi didn't say his name and he didn't ask, but Zhang Qiling knew that the person was most likely Zhang Rishan.

Zhang Qiling and Ji Huaichuan came out of Chen Tingsi's antique shop and just walked to a street corner when they saw several teenagers beating up a fat boy in an alley.

Ji Huaichuan was somewhat interested and pulled Zhang Qiling to the alley entrance to take a peek. Although there were three or four kids on the opposite side, the fat kid was not at a disadvantage and seemed to have some kung fu skills.

Ji Huaichuan shouted "The police are coming!" into the alley, scaring the kids so much that they ran away. But the fat boy didn't seem panicked at all. He brushed the dirt off his body, put his hands on his hips, and looked at the group of fleeing kids with a proud look on his face.

"Hey, little fatty, why don't you run?" Ji Huaichuan asked curiously.

The fat man snorted disdainfully and said, "Let's not even mention that the police didn't dare come to Panjiayuan. Even if they really had to come, they're so big that they could hear the noise from across the street. There's no need for anyone to shout."

"Oh? Why don't the police dare to come?" Ji Huaichuan asked.

"Speaking of this, I have to thank the owner of the shop in the center of Panjiayuan Street. Since he came, the policeman has never set foot in Panjiayuan again!" The little fat man said, lifting his hair, looking very proud.

Ji Huaichuan raised his eyebrows after hearing this. "Is it the shop called 'Leading Huali'?"

The little fat man nodded and chuckled, "That's right, I often go there to drink tea. It's very big inside, and the owner is very beautiful!"

Ji Huaichuan smiled and continued, "My name is Zhou Yue, and the person next to me is Zhang Ling. What's your name?"

The little fat man looked up at Ji Huaichuan, hesitated for a moment, and then said reluctantly: "Little Fatty, I will not change my name or surname. It's Wang Yueban!"

Ji Huaichuan looked the little fat boy up and down. Hey, this is interesting. He actually met the little Fatty Wang.

"I've heard a lot about you. Why did you fight just now?" Ji Huaichuan bowed and asked.

"Hmph, those little brats saw that I, Fatty, made more money than them, so they couldn't stand me and brought people to block me. If you hadn't made trouble just now, I could have beaten them all down!" The little fat man snorted heavily at the place where the group of kids had just run away.

Ji Huaichuan straightened up and clapped his hands, "Looks like I've been meddling in other people's business."

"Of course not!"

"Should I call them back?"

"Uh... no need. I will go find them myself later. From your accent you don't sound like people from Beijing. You are here to play, right? How about I take you for a walk?" The little fat man pursed his lips and quickly changed the subject.

Ji Huaichuan chuckled, "No, no, we have to go to the train station soon. Next time we come to Panjiayuan, I'll ask you to take me around."

The little fat man nodded and watched Ji Huaichuan and Zhang Qiling slowly walk away. One of them was silent and carried a knife on his back, while the other ran around and pointed to the one with the knife when he saw something interesting. There was a kind of harmony between them.

It was two days later that Ji Huaichuan and Zhang Qiling arrived in Xingcheng. After getting off the train, Ji Huaichuan took a deep breath and stretched.

"I'm so frustrated. The carriage is full of people and it's so crowded. I will never take the train again!" Ji Huaichuan complained.

"Then drive next time." Zhang Qiling said.

Ji Huaichuan turned around, tilted his head, and said, "But I can't drive."

"I'll drive it."

Because Ji Huaichuan was playful, they did not go directly to Wu's house. Anyway, it was still early, so the two of them went all the way to Qianlong Lake. There were few people by the lake. Ji Huaichuan squatted on the shore and threw stones into the lake. He originally wanted to skip stones, but none of them worked.

Zhang Qiling looked at Ji Huaichuan who was squatting on the ground in frustration, picked up a small stone from the side, and patted Ji Huaichuan on the shoulder to signal him to look.

Ji Huaichuan raised his head, somewhat confused, and saw Zhang Qiling casually throw out a stone, which bounced out a long section on the lake surface, and then drew a long wave along the path of the stone. Ji Huaichuan deliberately followed and counted it, but couldn't count it clearly.

"Wow!" Ji Huaichuan looked at Zhang Qiling with admiration, his eyes full of stars, "Qi Ling baby, you are so amazing!"

Zhang Qiling heard a satisfactory answer, rubbed his fingers and put his hands in his pockets.

"How did you manage to throw so many water skips?" Ji Huaichuan asked.

"It's not difficult." Zhang Qiling said calmly.

"Then teach me later. I also want to learn."

"good."

It was almost dark when we arrived at the Wu family's house, and since the banquet was scheduled for the next day, there was no delay.

Ji Huaichuan met Shen Tingsi in the backyard. Shen Tingsi was playing chess with Wu Laogou, and Qi Tiezui was sitting next to him. Wu Laogou had lost twelve games in a row, but Shen Tingsi still refused to let him go.

"Mr. Shen, please spare me. You know my chess skills are very bad. Otherwise, you can go find Lao Jiu. He is very good." Wu Laogou muttered as he made his move.
