Chapter 7 Two People's Thoughts

Xie Yuchen was also surprised to see that his childhood friend was here. They actually brought him along.

"You are... Xiaohua? Isn't Xiaohua a girl?" Wuxie asked in surprise.

Xie Yuchen nodded, "That's right."

Who would have thought that Wuxie would then ask, "Have you changed your sex?"

Xie Yuchen: "..."

After driving Zhang Qiling out, Ji Huaichuan went to bed. He lay there with his eyes closed for a long time, but still couldn't fall asleep.

He couldn't understand why Zhang Qiling and Wuxie had such a good relationship, when that person couldn't help him at all and was even a hindrance. Although he wasn't that good either.

But think about it, he is the great prince of the Great Zhou, he has traveled thousands of miles to follow them around, he is exhausted and still not appreciated.

Even after all this, Zhang Qiling still treated him like this. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. Ji Huaichuan sat up suddenly.

He had been spoiled since he was a child and was pampered by his father and brother. He had never been a good-tempered person. Especially today, he suddenly found that Zhang Qiling treated others in the same way as he treated him, and he was unhappy.

Ji Huaichuan couldn't sleep well, so he thought about making others uncomfortable. Although he couldn't see, it didn't stop him from causing trouble.

That night, a tide of snakes came to the camp. Dense swarms of black-haired snakes surrounded the camp, but attacked in a strangely orderly manner. Although it was chaotic, there were no casualties.

But only the tent where Ji Huaichuan and Wuxie were was filled with a large number of black-haired snakes. Their tents were not far away from each other, and Ji Huaichuan could sense the noises coming from the other tent.

That person must have fainted from fear, right? After all, a pampered young man raised in seclusion had never seen a swallow's nest in a curtain, and all he could do was talk nonsense, which was useless.

Hearing the footsteps approaching, it was Zhang Qiling. Where would he go first? Would he come to protect this weak little blind man, or to save his good friend who was holding him back?

He wanted to bet on which one Zhang Qiling would choose.

For Ji Huaichuan, he had lived in this world for too long, and the length of time would wear away many things. He knew about the friendship they were talking about, but he didn't want to understand. He couldn't stand the slightest bit of grievance. If Zhang Qiling disappointed him, even a little bit, he would leave without looking back, and after the matter was resolved, he would return to the bronze door.

However, Ji Huaichuan made the right bet...

When Zhang Qiling entered, Ji Huaichuan was huddled in a corner of the folding bed in a mess. His neatly combed hair was messy, his clothes were a little dirty, and he was surrounded by black-haired snakes.

The snake surrounding him opened its mouth wide, its two sharp fangs gleaming coldly, and its bright red eyes stared at Ji Huaichuan, as if ready to attack at any time.

Looking at it, Ji Huaichuan's face was pale, his body was shaking slightly, tears were welling up in his eyes, and he covered his mouth with his hands. He looked so pitiful as he wanted to cry but didn't dare to make a sound.

Zhang Qiling quickly and efficiently dealt with the snakes surrounding Ji Huaichuan, then skillfully picked him up and carried him out.

As they walked, he could hear Ji Huaichuan whispering in his arms: "Why did you come just now? There were a lot of snakes surrounding me just now, and they even crawled on me. There were so many snakes, I was scared to death..."

The soft baby voice made Zhang Qiling want to touch his head, but he didn't do it.

Zhang Qiling knew that Ji Huaichuan was involved in this incident, but he had no intention of exposing it.

Children need to be coaxed when they have a tantrum. If you don't let them vent their anger, who knows what they might do.

I don’t know when it started, but Zhang Qiling has no bottom line in treating Ji Huaichuan, and just lets him do whatever he wants.

Ji Huaichuan didn't know what Zhang Qiling was thinking. He only heard Hei Xia Zi talking to Zhang Qiling after Zhang Qiling carried him out of the tent.

Ji Huaichuan controlled a black-haired snake and took a quick look. As he expected, the little loser was frightened unconscious!

However, Ji Huaichuan didn't know this because Zhang Qiling told Hei Xia Zi to knock Wuxie unconscious when he went to find Wuxie, otherwise Ji Huaichuan would be unhappy, and then remember to hit the right target.

After everything was settled, Zhang Qiling took Ji Huaichuan away from the crowded area and returned to the tent.

"Are you calming down?" Zhang Qiling asked as he sorted out the things messed up by the snake tide.

"Not angry." Ji Huaichuan sat in the corner with a messy head. He was shrouded in shadows and his expression could not be seen clearly.

Zhang Qiling didn't say anything.

After a while, Ji Huaichuan spoke again: "Zhang Qiling, I have only two purposes for leaving the Bronze Gate this time, one is to destroy the secret, and the other is for you." His voice was very light, and no emotion could be heard.

"I know." Zhang Qiling said.

The tacit understanding between the two allowed them to understand each other without saying too much.

Zhang Qiling knew very well that without him, Ji Huaichuan would have stayed behind the bronze door and waited for his chance to fall into the trap, instead of following him around.

Although Ji Huaichuan looks weak and unreliable on weekdays, he is really powerful and does not need his constant personal protection. He knew this a long time ago.

After Ji Huaichuan fell asleep, Zhang Qiling went to find Hei Xia Zi, and after confirming the time for subsequent actions, he returned to the tent.

The chaos caused by the snake tide was quickly restored to order under Aning's leadership. After hearing the important information, Huo Xiuxiu rushed back to the capital overnight.

late at night

Ji Huaichuan, who was originally sleeping soundly, suddenly opened his eyes. His eyes were a little unclear under the moonlight. Ji Huaichuan had a dream, a dream about his childhood. He dreamed of his father and brother. They all gave their all for the ultimate goal, but he eventually became the thing they wanted until their death.

He remembered Li Guang telling him that he was immortal and came to this world with a mission.

At first he didn't know what he meant, but later he slowly understood that his mission was to unify all things and restore the balance. He didn't know if his understanding was correct.

As Ji Huaichuan was thinking, he slowly fell asleep again. Not long after he fell asleep, Zhang Qiling also opened his eyes.

Zhang Qiling and Ji Huaichuan were close to each other and could clearly hear Ji Huaichuan muttering a name, "Li Guang".

Zhang Qiling moved his fingers. He had heard this name from Ji Huaichuan many times, but every time he tried to probe it inadvertently, Ji Huaichuan changed the subject or kept silent.

He knew that Ji Huaichuan had memory problems, but a name that was remembered so clearly must be very important.

He is Ji Huaichuan's gravekeeper. The mark engraved in his bones and blood makes him want to stay by Ji Huaichuan's side forever, but he lacks a suitable identity.

He didn't want to be slowly replaced by the name full of uncertainty that came out of Ji Huaichuan's mouth.

Zhang Qiling thought about it, turned sideways, put his arms around Ji Huaichuan's waist, slowly tightened his arms, and finally touched each other.

The moon was bright and the stars were sparse in the desert, so Zhang Qiling finally had a good sleep.
