Chapter 109 Let's go shopping and clubbing.

The next day.

Yan Kui got ready to go to No. 1 Middle School at nine o'clock in the morning.

As soon as I went downstairs, I received a call from Yan Sheng's homeroom teacher.

"Sister Yansheng, I'm sorry, some leaders came to inspect our school today, so our meeting may have to be rescheduled to next Monday."

The homeroom teacher said somewhat apologetically, "I've already spoken to Xia Lingxue's parents. Is that alright with you?"

Yan Kui noticed that the teacher's tone was much better than before, but she didn't know why.

Turning around, she pressed the elevator button to go upstairs and replied, "Okay, it's alright. I'll leave Yan Sheng to the teacher. I've already asked him, and he confirmed that he's not in a relationship."

He added, "I guess it's just what the students at school are saying jokingly. I'm sorry to bother the teacher."

After listening to Yan Kui finish speaking, the homeroom teacher chuckled twice: "It's nothing, it's nothing. The main thing is that Xia Lingxue's parents requested to have a face-to-face meeting with you. How about we set it for 9:30 am next Monday?"

Yan Kui exchanged a few polite words with her homeroom teacher, agreed to go there next Monday, and then went home and went back to sleep.

…………

After Yan Kui returned to Nanshi, Wei Yin went to the United States.

Sitting in the conference room, dealing with the pile of documents.

Hearing his assistant report from behind, "Boss, we've already called the principal of Nanshi No. 1 Middle School, and he's already given Mr. Yan Sheng's homeroom teacher some pointers."

Wei Yin hummed in agreement: "Tell her to take good care of Yan Sheng's studies."

After speaking, he lowered his head and signed his name, "Wei Yin," in a graceful and elegant manner on the documents on the table.

Yan Kui slept until after 11 o'clock.

After stretching out on the bed, I opened the door and saw Aunt Xia, who had come to make lunch.

He rubbed his rumbling stomach and headed to the bathroom.

Aunt Xia smiled broadly as she looked at Yan Kui, who had just come out of the bathroom, and asked, "Miss Yan, would you like to have a mille-feuille to tide you over?"

Upon hearing this, Yan Kui smiled and nodded, "Okay, thank you, Auntie."

Aunt Xia brought over two plates of layered pancakes: "Miss Yan, I made shrimp in tomato sauce and stir-fried white jade mushrooms for lunch. Is there anything else you'd like to eat?"

Yan Kui took a bite of the layered pancake; it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, leaving a fragrant aftertaste. Her skills were superb!

"That's enough, Auntie, please stay and eat with me."

Aunt Xia sat to the side peeling scallions and said with a smile, "Miss Yan, don't worry about me. I've already eaten before I came. I've also made an appointment with my cousin to go to the supermarket to grab some eggs later."

Yan Kui nodded and started chatting with Aunt Xia.

After lunch, Yan Kui sat on the sofa choosing a good variety show when her phone suddenly rang.

Yan Kui opened her phone and saw that Lan Yueyue had sent her several WeChat messages.

"KuiKui, have you gone back to Nanshi?"

"If we get back, how about we go to that restaurant we talked about last time this afternoon?"

"My thesis is almost finished, so awesome!"

"Beep beep..."

Yan Kui: "Sure, can you send me the location?"

Lan Yueyue: "Yay!! I finally got to ask you out!!"

The restaurant's location was then provided.

Lan Yueyue: "Shall we go tonight?"

Yan Kui: "Okay, I'm fine with anything. I have plenty of time today."

Lan Yueyue: "That's great! I've booked a table. After dinner, we'll go to 'Extravagant' for a bit of dancing!"

Lan Yueyue: "Please! Please, let's go out and have some fun! I'm going crazy with my thesis lately!"

Yan Kui hadn't been here for a long time; the last time she went, she was still the eldest daughter of the Yan family.

He chuckled softly.

"Okay, see you tonight."

Yan Kui originally wanted to tell Wei Yin, but suddenly remembered that he was in the United States.

Judging from the time, he should have just fallen asleep.

After thinking about it, I decided against it and will wait until he wakes up.
