Chapter 177 Men Who Play the Cold War Are Not Men

Wei Yin immediately squatted down in front of Yan Kui. When his dry palms touched her wet cheeks, warm tears kept streaming down his fingertips.

"Yan Kui".

Wei Yin's voice was low and trembling, carrying a panic that was hard for others to detect.

"Why are you crying?"

Reaching out, Wei Yin lifted Yan Kui's face from his arms and frowned as he looked at the sobbing woman before him.

It would have been better if he hadn't come. Looking at the man in front of her who could turn on her so easily, Yan Kui cried even louder.

Reaching out, she pushed away Wei Yin's hand that was on her cheek, and sobbed:

"Get away...!"

Wei Yin was pushed like that, and stared blankly at the arm that had fallen to the ground, and was stunned for a moment.

With a stern face, he looked at Xiaotian and said in a sharp, chilling tone, "Get out and turn off the surveillance cameras."

Xiao Tian immediately left, quickly closed the room door, and notified the monitoring room to turn off the surveillance in the tea room.

"You...you petty...mindful man..."

Tears streamed down Yan Kui's face as she sobbed and spoke, her words broken and fragmented, as if she were crying too hard.

Wei Yin knew that the two of them had a slight disagreement yesterday, but how did he manage to make her cry?

Not knowing exactly which step had gone wrong, Wei Yin squatted down again and gently coaxed, "Take a break."

"Or tell me my crime?"

"Um?"

Yan Kui didn't want to cry in a place like this, it would be so embarrassing, but she couldn't help it.

Seeing that the culprit had finally appeared, but was just coaxing her in a low voice, her initial desire to make a scene suddenly turned sour.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Wei Yin tentatively picked her up.

Seeing that Yan Kui didn't struggle, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Wei Yin gently placed the person on his lap and slowly patted her back with his palm.

She pulled out a handkerchief, the same material as her suit, from her bag and wiped Yan Kui's eyes.

A handkerchief with a cool, woody scent brushed against her nose, and Yan Kui calmed herself down. She stopped crying as much, but occasionally she couldn't help but sob.

Yan Kui reached out and pushed Wei Yin away, the fabric making a rustling sound. She got off him and found a stool to sit on.

Wei Yin could only go along with her. Once she was settled, he took a corner of the handkerchief and wiped her face.

"Tell me about it?"

Yan Kui was holding back her anger. Her emotions, which had just calmed down, suddenly turned into sobs the moment she spoke.

"Ugh, why are you so petty? I came to find you, and you still won't let me go upstairs..."

Standing in the lobby, Xiao Tian couldn't hear the sounds from the tea room, but suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, a sensation that spread from his heels to the top of his head.

Wei Yin casually pulled up a chair and sat down next to Yan Kui, his thin lips pressed into a straight line: "That's not true."

Upon hearing this, Yan Kui looked up, her curled eyelashes still glistening with tiny water droplets.

Seeing this, Wei Yin gently wiped her clean again.

"If you were clearly in a meeting, why were there so many things on your floor of the office building? So many that you wouldn't let me go up?"

Wei Yin remembered the rings he had left upstairs that morning. He figured Xiao Tian wanted to keep it a surprise, so she had Yan Kui sit downstairs for a while.

He sighed. Having such a considerate assistant was also a problem.

Looking at the person in front of him with red eyes, Wei Yin suddenly felt like laughing after understanding why she was crying.

With a slight smile, she said, "It's not that I don't want you to come up, I was just in a meeting. I knew you were coming, so I came down to see you right away, isn't that nice?"

"No! Not good at all!"

Yan Kui felt extremely wronged, and she was determined to ruin this whole situation today!

"You're still giving me the silent treatment? What kind of man are you?!"

Wei Yin wasn't angry when he heard this. He grabbed Yan Kui's chin with his large hand, forcing her to look at him.

She said earnestly, "Yan Kui, I'm not giving you the cold shoulder."
