Chapter 235: You didn't miss me?

Chapter 235: You didn't miss me?

The next day.

Lan Yueyue was awakened by the rustling sound and sat up in a daze.

He shook his head: "Ouch... my head hurts so much."

Aunt Xia, who was tidying up the living room, moved even more gently, looked at Lan Yueyue apologetically, and whispered, "I'm sorry, Miss, I woke you up."

Lan Yueyue leaned weakly against the sofa and opened her eyes: "It's okay, Auntie. Thank you for your hard work. We made a huge mess yesterday."

Aunt Xia just smiled and continued working quickly.

Yan Kui was still asleep on the other side. Her blanket had been kicked aside, revealing her fair and slender legs.

Half of her face was covered by her disheveled hair.

She reached out and tucked the blanket around her, then went to the room, opened her suitcase, took out a few changes of clothes, and headed to the bathroom.

After taking a shower, Lan Yueyue felt completely refreshed.

Aunt Xia quickly brought over a glass of honey water: "Miss, you drank alcohol yesterday, didn't you? Drinking some honey water can help relieve the symptoms."

Lan Yueyue gratefully accepted it and drank it all in big gulps.

Thinking about whether to wake Yan Kui, Aunt Xia stopped her as soon as she reached out: "Let Miss Yan sleep a little longer. I have already made breakfast. Miss, please have some first."

Upon hearing this, Lan Yueyue felt that what the aunt said made sense.

But even by noon, Yan Kui hadn't woken up, despite changing her sleeping position a few times.

Lan Yueyue felt a little itchy when she saw the girl's rosy face from sleeping, and tentatively reached out.

"The master said that Miss Yan has a bad temper when she wakes up, so please let her wake up naturally."

Lan Yueyue almost touched Yan Kui's hand when she suddenly stopped. Luckily, the aunt spoke up in time.

Looking at the clock, wondering how long Yan Kui would sleep, Lan Yueyue decided to go home first. She said goodbye to Aunt Xia, picked up her suitcase, and left Meiwan Peninsula.

…………

Yan Kui felt that she had slept very well, and the sound of steam coming from the kitchen gave her a strange sense of comfort.

I stretched and yawned on the sofa with my eyes closed, when suddenly I felt something touch my hand. It was warm and slippery, unlike the feel of a sofa.

Looking up in a daze, he saw his own clenched fist slap Wei Yin across the face.

She jumped up in surprise: "Why are you here! Weren't you supposed to be here in a few days?!"

Yan Kui snuggled into his arms like a koala, happily rubbing her face against his chin.

Wei Yin chuckled, wrapped his arms around her, and moved his high, straight nose up and down in his hair with her movements.

"Don't you miss me? You little drunkard."

Upon hearing this, Yan Kui immediately got out of his arms, sniffing herself with her little nose: "Oh no, I drank too much and haven't showered yet! Let me shower first!"

He then tried to get off Wei Yin.

Wei Yin immediately pulled her back, helped her stand up and walk towards the bathroom: "The water's ready, if she doesn't wake up soon she'll need a cold bath."

The bathroom wasn't big. Yan Kui had just heard noises from the kitchen and assumed Aunt Xia was still there, so she shyly chased Wei Yin out.

Wei Yin gave a few instructions and then went to the kitchen.

Half an hour later, Yan Kui came out of the bathroom, smelling sweet after changing her clothes. She looked around the living room and bedroom but didn't see Wei Yin.

He subconsciously called out, "Wei Yin?"

The kitchen door was quickly pushed open.

With her black hair flowing loosely and casually, wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and black trousers, and a pink apron around her neck, Wei Yin leaned against the door frame holding a spatula.

She looked at Yan Kui with a mocking expression and asked, "Do you need to see your husband?"

Hearing the sound, Yan Kui looked up at the kitchen doorway, her gaze momentarily filled with amazement, and she couldn't help but swallow hard.

She was Wei Yin, a married man whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

Seeing that she was stunned, Wei Yin lowered his eyes and suppressed the smile in them, then waved to Yan Kui: "Didn't you want to eat wasabi prawns? Come and try it."
