Chapter 271 They look very similar

Chapter 271 They look very similar

"Mr. Yan?"

Yan Shangyu didn't answer, and the girl next to him called out to him again, full of doubt.

Seeing that he was still looking down, the girl looked at the man sitting opposite her, puzzled.

In just a moment, the girl looked away.

Wei Yin was quite frightening when he had a dark expression.

The girl was a little scared and instinctively took two steps behind Yan Shangyu.

"Mr. Yan..."

The sound was very soft, and the arm inadvertently brushed against the person's large clothes.

A faint touch behind him startled Yan Shangyu, who said, "You go back first, I'll be there later."

The girl's gaze darted quickly between the two men, seemingly undecided.

She was paid by Mr. Yan to come and take care of him. The man opposite her didn't seem very friendly. What if...

Seeing that she didn't leave, Yan Shangyu repeated himself. The girl hesitated for a few seconds before heading back inside, looking back every few steps.

Wei Yin remained silent, but his expression seemed to say it all.

The red hue on the eastern horizon slowly spread, seeping upwards like an ink painting, dispelling the slight chill of the morning.

Yan Shangyu's gaunt face, though its complexion seemed somewhat normal compared to before, couldn't hide the bitter smile that welled up on his lips: "You saw it."

"They look very alike."

Yan Shangyu could not hide it.

"For medical treatment?"

Wei Yin's tone was colder than usual, but surprisingly, it carried a hint of curiosity.

Yan Shangyu stood under the tree for a while, feeling somewhat weak, and then used her light body to sit on the stone bench opposite Wei Yin.

He sighed and said, "I guess so."

"The caregiver I hired last week is here with me this time."

Wei Yin rested one hand on the armrest of the chair, gently supporting his right cheek: "Is it working?"

Yan Shangyu leaned against the stone table, still wearing that distressed expression: "I want to say no, but I probably can't lie to you."

I've already gotten a sense of your capabilities to some extent.

"Is that right, Patriarch Wei?"

Wei Yin scoffed, "Old-fashioned."

He then stood up, adopting the composed demeanor of someone in a superior position: "I don't care how you want to treat the illness, just don't bother Yan Kui anymore. In exchange, I can help you with something within my power."

After saying that, Wei Yin took out a business card from his pocket and placed it on the stone table.

"Of course, I'm only helping you, not the Yan family."

After Wei Yin finished speaking, his gaze lingered on Yan Shangyu for only a moment before he turned and left.

How long will you stay here?

Wei Yin didn't turn around, but his voice clearly reached Yan Shangyu's ears: "Two days."

Two days later, he will bring Yan Kui home, as Yan Sheng will be starting school soon.

Wei Yin's tall figure quickly disappeared at the end of the corridor.

Having gotten the answer he wanted, he will stay quietly in the sanatorium for the next two days.

A distinctive, intermittent scent wafted from the business card on the table. It appeared to be made of black velvet paper with matte gold lettering, among which the two characters "Wei Yin" stood out.

After watching quietly for a moment, Yan Shangyu picked up the business card and put it in his pocket.

He clearly understood that he was now merely a recipient of fate, and it seemed that fate had left him no room for wishful thinking. Compared to Wei Yin, the sense of defeat had already overwhelmed him.

The sunlight, previously obscured by clouds, seemed to break free, and rays of light fell on the ground. Inside the room, a slightly anxious female voice seemed to come again: "Mr. Yan, you really should take your medicine."

The business card in my palm felt faintly warm.

The damp scent of grass in the air dissipated, and a breeze blew intermittently. Yan Shangyu responded and stepped inside.
