Chapter 28 Seeing

Chapter 28 Seeing

Yan Kui put down the phone, took out the change that Huang Maomao had given her before from her bag, picked out a one-yuan note and gave it to the shopkeeper.

Suddenly, I heard two male voices behind me.

With his back to Yan Kui, Huang Maomao handed the lobsters he had just caught from the bucket to Wei Yin.

"Brother Yin, the shrimp I caught today is huge! Let's make spicy crayfish for dinner tonight!"

Wei Yin looked down at the lobsters wriggling in the bucket, a smile playing on his lips as he teased them a couple of times with the foxtail grass in his hand.

Yan Kui, who was standing not far away at the entrance of the phone booth, turned her head and saw Wei Yin's face. Her mind went completely blank for a moment.

Under the archway at the village entrance, sunlight filtered through the stray hairs falling across Wei Yin's forehead, casting dappled patterns of light on either side of his straight nose.

That unrestrained and unconventional spirit, devoid of any affectation, and the way his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he spoke, his taut neck lines resembled a fully drawn bowstring, brimming with tension ready to be unleashed.

The face before her eyes overlapped with the face of the man who tormented her night after night in her dreams.

Yan Kui's legs went weak.

My hand unconsciously braced itself against the old glass counter behind me.

My breathing started to quicken.

Then Wei Yin's magnetic voice came through and he said, "Well, let's invite the girls from the Yan family over for dinner tonight."

After he finished speaking, Wei Yin seemed to sense a gaze and slowly raised his head.

Yan Kui noticed his movement, turned around instantly, instinctively covered her face, and ran away with great effort, supporting her weak legs.

When Wei Yin looked up, he only saw a pink figure quickly leave.

He frowned.

Huang Maomao saw Wei Yin's expression and turned to look at him as well.

Upon noticing Yan Kui's hurried departure, he laughed and said, "Brother Yin, that's Yan Kui, the one who lives next door to you."

He asked curiously, "But why did she run away? I should have gone over and said hello."

Wei Yin stared intently at Yan Kui's departing figure, his eyes dark and brooding.

It felt somewhat familiar, but it was too far away, and its shape was a bit blurry.

Seeing Wei Yin staring intently at the person, Huang Maomao waved his hand in front of Wei Yin's eyes and laughed, "Brother Yin, are you mesmerized? I told you Yan Kui is very pretty, but you didn't believe me, hehe."

Wei Yin didn't say anything, looked away, picked up his bucket, and went to the field.

Seeing this, Huang Maomao quickly put the net for catching lobsters into the stream, filled the bucket with lobsters with water, and shouted to Wei Yin, "Wait for me, Brother Yin!"

…………

Yan Kui ran home in one breath and felt that Wei Yin seemed to have been staring at her back the whole time, which gave her goosebumps all over.

He collapsed onto the sofa, panting heavily.

Yan Kui was speechless. What kind of situation was this? The object of her erotic dreams actually lived next door to her!

She recalled that all her previous dreams had come true, although the process had changed somewhat, but they had still actually happened.

Could it be...?

Could it be...?

Yan Kui cupped her face in her hands, her whole body, including her ears, quickly turning red.

Thinking about Wei Yin's physique, Yan Kui felt that if it really happened, she would actually end up in the hospital...

Yan Kui locked the door, lay on the sofa and tossed and turned, trying to clear the lewd thoughts from her mind.

I lay down on the sofa onto the small, worn-out bed, but couldn't fall asleep, so I got up again to wipe the kitchen table and sweep the floor.

It's not very clean, but at least they do some housework.

Tired, I lay back on the sofa, and in my drowsy state, I gently comforted myself, "It's okay, it's okay, it's just a dream, don't panic. Besides, this is just a dream I have, and as long as I don't tell anyone, no one will know..."

…………

Wei Yin focused on watering his seeds, and after finishing, he and Huang Maomao rode their bikes to town.

The image of Yan Kui hurriedly leaving that morning flashed through my mind. Thinking that the woman next door didn't seem to know how to cook, I inexplicably bought a lot of ingredients.

When Huang Maomao saw Wei Yin carrying so much stuff, he quickly said, "I should have known you'd come in a tricycle."

Wei Yin packed everything up, and carrying Huang Maomao and several large bags of food, hurried back to Luoxia Village.
