Chapter 299 Car Crash
After the Spring Festival, the group returned to Taipei on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.
Huang Xinwan followed behind Huang Maomao, remaining silent the entire way.
Huang Maomao was afraid of feeling awkward because of his younger sister and didn't know what to talk about.
Only Yan Sheng would occasionally ask a few questions like, "Who's eating?"
Wei Yin didn't want to talk at all, and started processing files on the computer in front of him.
Yan Kui fell asleep shortly after setting off, making the entire trip exceptionally quiet.
After landing in Taipei, the group split into two cars. Mao Mao drove Huang Xinwan to take the old man home.
Wei Yin's driver was changed to Xiao Tian, while Yan Sheng still sat in the passenger seat, and the two chatted casually.
Yan Kui was sleeping soundly. The car was very warm, so Wei Yi wrapped her in a blanket and lowered the seat back of the van to make her more comfortable.
There were very few vehicles on the roads during the Spring Festival, and only a few scattered cars were slowly driving on the elevated roads.
It was quiet all the way from the airport. It wasn't snowing in Taipei, but the temperature, which seemed to have a freezing magic, was exceptionally cold.
Perhaps because it rained yesterday, long icicles even formed on the handrails along the street.
Yan Kui was wrapped in a warm blanket and slept soundly.
Xiao Tian had just exited the elevated road and was driving very slowly.
"Xiao Sheng, have you taken your driver's test yet?"
Yan Sheng sat in the passenger seat. Because it was so warm in the car, he took off his coat and was only wearing a gray sweater.
"I just took the theory test (Part 1) before winter break, and I'll take the driving test (Part 2) when school starts."
Have you been in a car accident?
Yan Sheng recalled the first time he tried driving at the driving school next to the school and laughed, "I tried reversing into a parking space a few times at the driving school, and it felt pretty simple."
When Xiaotian heard him say that, she quickly gave him advice: "Once you get your driver's license, ask Boss to get you a car. He has a matte black supercar, it's really cool, and boys your age should all like it."
Yan Sheng simply smiled modestly and said, "No..."
Before he could finish speaking, a dark gray electric scooter suddenly sped out from the side road and crashed directly into the right headlight of the van.
"Bang—" The electric scooter crashed to the ground, accompanied by the sound of brakes, creating a loud noise on the empty road.
Xiao Tian pressed the brake pedal hard, but because Yan Kui was sleeping, the car was moving very slowly, so the sudden braking wasn't very noticeable.
The two immediately opened the car door and got out. Xiao Tian's first glance was at the woman lying on the ground, wearing a long black down jacket.
Yan Sheng was also startled and quickly went over.
Yan Kui, who was fast asleep in the back row, only hummed softly. Wei Yin reached out to tuck her in and continued reading the report, which still had half a page left.
Oda looked at the woman lying motionless on the ground and felt a little irritated.
He wasn't driving fast, but this electric scooter was going so fast on such an empty road, and it was heading straight for him. Now the person is lying on the ground without saying a word. What is this...?
Yan Sheng glanced at Assistant Tian, who looked at him with a somewhat complicated expression.
Yan Sheng was a little worried. He slowly walked over, looked at the woman who was still on the ground, squatted down and tentatively asked, "Madam, where are you injured? I'll call 120 for an ambulance now."
Upon hearing that 120 should be called, the girl immediately covered her head, which was covered by a hat, and said weakly, "I don't know... I just have a headache, feel nauseous, and my whole body aches..."
He tried to hug his upper body, burying his head in his hands and saying, "Your car came way too fast... I'm definitely going to call the police and go to the hospital..."
