Chapter 30 Dreamer
As Yan Kui walked, she planned: "What vegetables should I plant? It's almost September now, can I plant cucumbers? The cucumbers Aunt Song gave me last time were pretty good, and tomatoes seem like a good option too..."
Suddenly, Yan Kui heard someone calling her from behind.
She instinctively turned around and saw Huang Maomao smiling and waving at her, shouting loudly, "We caught crayfish today! Come to Brother Yin's house for dinner tonight!"
Yan Kui was stunned.
Wei Yin, who was standing to the side, was also stunned.
His handsome face showed a rare moment of barely suppressed emotion.
The female ghost that had been appearing in his dreams had now become a living person, standing opposite him.
Wei Yin immediately snapped out of his daze, his face grim, and took a few steps forward.
Yan Kui wanted to run, but with Wei Yin staring at her so intently, she couldn't move an inch.
My heart was pounding.
As the man drew closer, with his sexy thin lips and strong, powerful arms, Yan Kui felt her legs go even weaker.
I couldn't help but take a deep breath.
Wei Yin stood in front of her against the light, his tall figure almost completely enveloping Yan Kui.
The shoulders beneath the black T-shirt were surprisingly broad, and the chest, rising and falling slightly with each breath, stretched the fabric into a taut arc. Beads of sweat still clung to the collarbone, which was faintly visible at the neckline.
Yan Kui was forced to tilt her head back, her gaze meeting his bobbing Adam's apple.
Sunlight cut through the angles of his jaw, casting a shadow on his neck.
Wei Yin stared intently at the woman in front of him with eyes as sharp as a cheetah.
Today, Yan Kui tied her hair up, and her whole face shone like a pearl emerging from its box.
Wei Yin carefully examined her clear, jewel-like eyes, the corners of which naturally curved upwards, giving her a gaze as serene as autumn water.
Her nose was high and delicate, which made her lips appear even more luscious, naturally red, like freshly picked cherries in May.
Her jawline was clean and sharp, tapering to a point. At this moment, her tightly pursed lips revealed a small dimple hidden on her cheek, adding to her charm.
Wei Yin stopped looking when he saw the small mole on the tip of her nose.
Just like the female ghost in his dream, he even wanted to see if Yan Kui had a red mole on the back of her waist.
Yan Kui felt uneasy under his gaze, avoided his eyes, and couldn't help but turn her head away.
This movement revealed her porcelain-white neck, which shimmered with a jade-like sheen.
When the ponytail swept across the ground, the ends of the hair swayed gently, like black satin brushing against fresh snow.
Sunlight streamed through the leaves, bathing her in a glow. Despite her casually tied hair, she radiated a captivating beauty, reminiscent of the most flamboyant crabapple blossom in March, swaying precariously in the wind, yet impossible to look away from.
Wei Yin did the same.
Yan Kui suppressed the strange feeling in her heart and told herself: It's all a dream, and he doesn't know about my dream. Don't be afraid, don't be afraid...
He opened his mouth and said, "What are you going to do!"
Yan Kui's voice trembled slightly, her eyes filled with the adorable charm of a kitten scratching at her, as she mustered her courage and called out to Wei Yin.
Wei Yin's eyes flickered slightly, and he subconsciously avoided her gaze: "It's nothing."
After saying that, Wei Yin stopped looking at her and took the lead in leaving.
When Yan Kui saw him leave, she realized that she had been dreaming too much and had developed delusions.
Huang Maomao ran up and handed the crayfish to Yan Kui: "How about it? Tonight, Brother Yin will cook. It'll smell amazing."
Yan Kui's mood calmed down a bit after being interrupted by him. Looking at the crayfish in the bucket, she seemed to already see the words "fresh, fragrant, spicy" and swallowed her saliva.
"Then you should make more, I can eat a lot."
Huang Maomao laughed when he heard her say that: "Okay, just wait, I'll call you tonight."
After saying that, he jogged to catch up with Wei Yin.
Yan Kui watched the two people walking further and further away, and squatted down as if her whole body had gone limp.
