Chapter 314 I'm the one who's more nervous.
When Wei Yin walked in, he saw Yan Kui curled up on the sofa, crying her eyes out.
He anxiously reached out and lifted her face, which was buried in her knees: "What's wrong?"
After saying that, he quickly pulled the person into his arms.
Yan Kui was sobbing uncontrollably, habitually wiping her tears and snot on his clothes: "Waaah, Xiao Sheng... he showed me Mom's diary... um... waaaah..."
Wei Yin felt a pang of heartache seeing her like this, but he smiled and gently kissed away the tears on her other side.
"You were touched?"
Yan Kui's nose was stuffy, and she was crying and unable to speak, so she could only nod hurriedly.
Wei Yin carried her to the bathroom, took a tissue to wipe her face, and Yan Kui took a while to recover before speaking in a hoarse voice.
“My mother has also dreamed about me.”
“But she doesn’t understand me. She thinks I’ll be fine living in a wealthy family and is even afraid that I’ll look down on my family for being poor.”
“I remember the last time I dreamed that my dad cooked porridge for me, I felt so happy.”
"Next time I go to pay my respects to them, I must have a good talk with her about it."
“I don’t mind at all, I dream of going back.”
Wei Yin patted her back to help her catch her breath, and seeing that she was about to cry again, he quickly took the diary from her hand and put it in the box on the bedside table.
“Okay, next time we go there we will definitely talk to Mom and Dad properly and take Xiao Qi to Luoxia Village so that Xiao Qi can kowtow to her grandparents.”
Yan Kui thought of her son, so well-behaved and sensible, and felt incredibly warm inside.
He reached out and casually grabbed Wei Yin's neck: "I dreamed about you last time too."
Wei Yin's eyes held a thousand unspoken words, yet he only looked at her.
"I dreamt that I grew up in Luoxia Village, and when you were a teenager, you had a sour face and acted cool. You cornered me against the wall, looking fierce like a bad guy, and even tried to flirt with me!"
Wei Yin suddenly remembered the few days when Yan Kui was asleep, and the words he suddenly uttered in his sleep.
"So you just told the person in your dream that you were my wife?"
Yan Kui was taken aback, her face glistening with tears that dangled precariously from her chin: "How did you know?"
Wei Yin followed and kissed her, swallowing the tear that was about to fall. Then he kissed Yan Kui's lips, nose, cheeks, and eyes.
He stood behind her, holding her tightly in his arms in an absolutely protective posture.
His chin rested gently on the top of her head, and his breath was filled with the light floral scent of Yan Kui's hair.
Yan Kui turned to look out the window, relaxed against his firm chest, and felt Wei Yin's steady heartbeat seep through the thin fabric of his clothes, gradually merging with her own.
Wei Yin's palms were warm and dry, naturally covering her hands which were folded in front of her, their fingers intertwined.
"Because someone slept for so many days, I talked to her a lot before she finally replied to me."
Wei Yin looked down at the person in his arms, and time seemed to stretch out, the tenderness almost unbelievable.
"I thought to myself, did I go to Luoxia Village when I was a teenager just to wait for you?"
"I still remember the first time I met you, you were wearing a pink dress with some embroidery on it."
"When they saw me, they were so scared they couldn't even walk."
Yan Kui reached out and punched her in the chest: "Don't laugh at me!"
Wei Yin chuckled softly, gently resting his chin on the top of her head, his tender words whispering in her ear, "You looked away at the time, so you didn't notice."
"I'm actually the one who's more nervous."
