Chapter 34 Nonsense

Chapter 34 Nonsense

Yan Kui's face turned pale, and her whole body trembled violently.

Without thinking twice, Wei picked the person up and ran towards the village clinic.

The doctor at the clinic was a middle-aged man with a Mediterranean hairstyle.

"Dr. He, please take a look at her quickly."

Wei Yin wanted to put her on the hospital bed, but Yan Kui seemed to sense the warmth and desperately leaned against his chest, her hands tightly gripping the clothes around his waist.

Seeing this, Dr. He stepped forward and pulled Yan Kui's hand away. Wei Yin suddenly said, "Be careful."

Dr. He turned to look at Wei Yin, who was the one arranged by the old master of the Wei family to take care of this young master.

Seeing how concerned he was, she glanced at the girl on the hospital bed and quickly began to examine her with a thermometer and stethoscope.

After a while, Dr. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It's nothing serious. She probably had gastroenteritis last night and caught a chill. I'll prescribe some medicine for her and give her an IV drip here. She'll be fine once she wakes up."

Upon hearing this, Wei Yin couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Dr. He didn't dare to ask any more questions. He quietly prepared the medicine and then packed it up.

Wei Yin pulled up a stool and sat on the edge of the bed, his dark eyes fixed on Yan Kui.

He had always thought that a female ghost was haunting him. But when he recalled the daring things he did in his dream, Wei Yin realized for the first time that the world was truly fantastical.

So is she really a fairy, or has Wei Yin been fantasizing about Yan Kui all along?

Wei Yin pinched his brow in frustration.

I can't figure it out.

I stayed at the clinic until 2 p.m., and saw that Yan Kui's eyelids on the bed seemed to twitch.

Wei Yin got up somewhat anxiously and said to Dr. He, "Don't tell anyone I'll wait here. You can give her the medicine yourself later."

After saying that, he left in a hurry.

Within two minutes, Yan Kui slowly woke up, looking at the dusty cement ceiling, unsure whether it was reality or a dream.

Dr. He walked over and gently scanned Yan Kui's forehead with a thermometer.

"The fever is gone, and I got up as soon as I woke up."

Yan Kui used her arms to support herself on the bed and slowly got up.

I still feel a little dizzy.

Dr. He placed the packaged medicine on the table and helped Yan Kui remove the needle from her arm: "Pay attention to your diet in the future, and don't overeat."

Upon hearing the doctor's words, Yan Kui realized that she had indeed eaten too much the night before and nodded sheepishly.

"This is medicine. Take it once after breakfast and once after dinner when you get home."

Yan Kui took it and patted her pocket: "I didn't bring any money with me. I'll bring you the rest later."

"37 yuan".

Yan Kui got up, put on her shoes, and took her medicine to go back. Suddenly remembering something, she asked Dr. He, "Doctor, could you please tell me who brought me here?"

She was lying on the sofa last night.

Dr. He recalled what Young Master Wei had said. He only told him not to mention that he was here, but he didn't seem to have mentioned who brought it.

He said, "Wei Yin brought you here; he's that tall and handsome guy from the village."

Yan Kui was stunned. How could it be Wei Yin?

She thought it would be Aunt Song or Huang Maomao.

"Thank you, doctor."

After saying that, Yan Kui took the medicine and slowly walked home.

Wei Yin didn't go home. Instead, he sat under the big peach tree in the village, watching the figure walking towards him in the distance.

Yan Kui was not in a good mood and did not notice Wei Yin watching her under the tree. When she passed by Wei Yin's house, she secretly glanced at him a few times and wondered if she should thank him.

But after not seeing anyone for half a day, I simply went home to rest.

When Huang Maomao returned in the evening, intending to pick up the plates that had been delivered to Yan Kui's house that morning, he learned that Yan Kui was sick.

What's wrong with you? What happened?

Yan Kui didn't know Huang Xinwan had left, and was afraid that Huang Maomao would let slip that she had gastroenteritis from overeating and be ridiculed by Huang Xinwan.

He cleared his throat and said, "I didn't cover myself properly with the blanket last night."

"Oh, you're really not in good health. You can get sick even without a blanket. My brother Yin takes a cold shower in this weather."

Yan Kui was speechless. Did this person even know how to talk?

"Can my build compare to his? He looks stronger than an ox! He could send me flying dozens of meters with one punch."

Huang Maomao laughed and said, "Nonsense, Brother Yin doesn't hit women."

Yan Kui didn't want to continue chatting with him and said, "That's because you haven't encountered a woman who's asking for a beating."

Wei Yin, who was delivering the plates, overheard this.
