Chapter 42 Hormonal Imbalance
Yan Kui carried the bag containing her underwear and pajamas, while Wei Yin and the supermarket staff all loaded the rest onto the tricycle.
Several women carried the supplies Yan Kui had purchased, muttering under their breath, "Where did this spendthrift come from? Buying so much stuff, how much money did he spend..."
Another aunt chimed in, "That tall boy paid for it; he bought it for this fair-skinned girl!"
"Tsk tsk tsk, which kid from the city is here picking up girls again? I wonder what kind of car he drove here."
When the group arrived, they saw the tricycle in front of them, still covered in yellow mud, and didn't know what to say.
They all silently placed their items on the shelf.
Fortunately, the tricycle compartment was large enough that after all the things were put down, there was still room for two people.
Huang Maomao sat in the driver's seat of the tricycle and saw that Yan Kui had bought everything, so he said, "Then let's go back."
Yan Kui looked up at Wei Yin and whispered, "Brother Yin, aren't you buying anything?"
Wei Yin raised his hand and extended the plastic bag hooked on his index finger, saying, "I'm done buying."
Just as Yan Kui was about to see what he had bought, she saw Wei Yin suddenly pull his hand back.
Yan Kui curled her lip; this person was being mysterious.
The two got into the carriage, and Wei Yin shifted the bag that was blocking his knees.
Yan Kui squeezed in, just enough to put her feet down, and Wei Yin also sat down.
Seeing that the two were seated, Huang Maomao started the tricycle and shouted, "Let's go back to the village!"
Halfway through the journey, Wei Yin, who was looking at the distant mountain scenery, suddenly felt something on his shoulder.
Turning his head, he saw that Yan Kui was asleep and automatically snuggled up to him.
The tricycle swayed slightly as it passed under the shade of trees on both sides of the road. Eyelashes cast faint shadows under the eyes, and breathing was as light as a feather.
Yan Kui is usually lively and cunning, but occasionally she can be incredibly hot-tempered and adorable.
But now, she leaned quietly on Wei Yin's shoulder, her hair loose, carrying a faint scent of shampoo, and incredibly soft.
Wei Yin tilted his head slightly and could see her slightly parted lips and the extremely alluring little mole on the tip of her nose.
Suddenly, the tricycle ran over a small stone, causing it to lurch slightly. Yan Kui unconsciously rubbed against Wei Yin's shoulder, as if searching for a more comfortable position, but she remained unconscious.
Wei Yin couldn't help but laugh, his eyes swirling with emotion. The girl who had been so energetic during the day, running around shopping at the supermarket, was now as docile as a cat.
Wei Yin moved his fingertips slightly, brushing aside the stray strands of hair that had fallen down her head.
Suddenly, Huang Maomao couldn't avoid a protruding dirt slope, and the tricycle tilted to the right.
Yan Kui fell backwards, startling Wei Yin, who quickly grabbed her with both hands.
One arm reached across her chest to embrace her, while the other firmly protected the back of Yan Kui's head.
Yan Kui slowly opened her eyes and saw that Wei Yin was far away from her, and was using his hands to support her upper body.
Annoyed at being woken up from a sweet dream, she huffed and puffed, "What! Won't you let me sleep?!"
?
Wei Yin was amused by her, lowered his hand, tapped Yan Kui's forehead, and said casually, "Like a dog biting Lü Dongbin."
Upon hearing this, Yan Kui turned to look at Huang Maomao.
Huang Maomao had just noticed that Yan Kui had fallen asleep leaning against Yin Ge, and Yin Ge hadn't pushed her away yet, so he felt that there was something fishy going on between the two of them.
After listening carefully to their conversation, he noticed Yan Kui's gaze, stepped on the gas pedal, and said, "Hehe, I was in a hurry and didn't pay attention to the road, so it bumped a bit."
Yan Kui didn't know why, but she was a little irritable ever since she was woken up. She thought about how Huang Maomao had taken her to town and how much Wei Yin had helped her.
Unable to find a place to vent, he simply put on a sullen face and didn't say a word.
Seeing this, Wei Yin glanced at Huang Maomao and then at the hand that had just touched her forehead.
You're angry already?
It wasn't until the three of them returned to Luoxia Village, and Wei Yin and Huang Maomao helped her carry her things into the house, that Yan Kui remembered why she was in a bad mood.
Watching Wei Yin about to leave, Yan Kui said softly, "Yin... Brother Yin, I'm so sorry..."
"My hormones are out of whack. I wasn't angry with you guys just now..."
Wei Yin smiled, and his venomous mouth spoke: "Alright, it's good that you said it, otherwise I would have thought you were an ingrate."
