Chapter 43 Add Egg
Seeing Yan Kui's puffed-up face again, Wei Yin realized that he had offended someone again.
Just as she was wondering whether she should say something conciliatory, she heard Yan Kui say, "I'm not an ungrateful wretch, I'm a big foodie, I want to eat the noodles you cook tomorrow!"
"The kind with a fried egg!"
Heaven knows how tempted Yan Kui was when she first smelled the aroma of Wei Yin's noodles.
She took this opportunity to blurt it all out, since Wei Yin had already agreed to come over for a free meal anyway.
Upon seeing this, Wei Yin couldn't help but turn his head and burst into laughter.
He said with a laugh, "Okay, don't sleep in. I'm going out after breakfast."
Yan Kui nodded repeatedly upon seeing this.
After Wei Yin finished speaking, he walked straight out of Yan Kui's house, turned his back to Yan Kui, waved to her with his right hand, closed the dilapidated iron gate, and went back to his own home.
Looking at all the things in the room, Yan Kui felt more satisfied than ever before.
Suddenly, I felt a warm flow surging in my lower abdomen. I felt tired, so I ate two pieces of bread, went to the bathroom to wash up, and then went back to my room to lie down and sleep.
The next day.
Yan Kui, carrying a large pile of clothes, knocked on the gate of Wei Yin's courtyard.
Wei Yin stood in the kitchen and saw Yan Kui standing outside. He called out, "It's not closed. Come in yourself."
Yan Kui said cheerfully as she walked, "I'll go do the laundry first, I'll be right back."
She entered Wei Yin's bathroom with practiced ease and stuffed all her clothes inside.
Suddenly, he was stopped by a large, wheat-colored hand with bulging veins.
"They don't even know how to wash clothes; they separate dark and light colors."
Looking at Wei Yin, who was wearing an apron, Yan Kui suddenly felt that he had gained a bit of the air of a stay-at-home husband.
Yan Kui unconsciously swallowed.
She likes this kind of food...
Seeing her staring blankly at him, Wei Yin tightened his throat, looked away, and poked her forehead.
Did you hear that?
Yan Kui immediately snapped out of her daze.
"Okay, I understand."
A very mechanical answer.
Wei Yin ignored her; the noodles were still in the pot.
Yan Kui put all the light-colored clothes into the washing machine and looked at the instructions for the laundry detergent.
I filled a cup to the brim with the lid and poured it in.
Seeing that the washing machine started smoothly, I quickly ran to the kitchen.
Just then, Yan Kui saw Wei Yinsheng walking over with noodles. She obediently took the noodles and stared at the golden fried egg on top. Yan Kui's heart softened.
"Brother Yin, you're so good to me, I'll definitely repay you in the future!"
Then she remembered something: "I'll get the money for yesterday's purchases from the town next time I go there and give it to you."
Wei Yin didn't answer her question, and ate his noodles with gusto. Seeing how much he enjoyed his food, Yan Kui started eating as well.
It smells so good.
Yan Kui suddenly thought that if Wei Yin were her boyfriend, she could come over for meals every day without feeling guilty.
Suddenly, those embarrassing images from my dream flashed through my mind again.
Yan Kui swallowed the noodles in her mouth, shook her head to herself, and thought: No, no, if what happened in the dream really happened, how could she bear it?
Wei Yin noticed that she was sometimes happy and sometimes depressed, and she even shook her head. He wondered what was going on in that little head of hers.
After the two finished eating, Yan Kui offered to wash the dishes, but Wei Yin ignored her and washed the dishes clean with hot water.
Then I saw Wei Yin carrying a large hoe out of the storeroom in the yard.
Yan Kui suddenly remembered that her family owned a piece of land at the entrance of the village.
Chao Weiyin said, "Brother Yin, if you have time, would you like to teach me... how to farm...?"
Wei Yin was slightly taken aback. Thinking of the girl who couldn't even wash her own clothes, he laughed and said, "You want to learn how to farm?"
Yan Kui nodded.
Wei Yin originally wanted to say that she probably couldn't even lift a hoe, but when she saw Yan Kui's bright and clear eyes, she couldn't help but smile and soften her tone.
The first thing she said was, "Wait until you feel better."
After saying that, Wei Yin went straight out the door.
When Yan Kui saw Wei Yin's smile, her heart skipped a beat, as if some invisible hand was gently gripping her chest.
Her ears started to heat up, and her gaze wandered unconsciously, avoiding looking at Wei Yin's back.
But my gaze involuntarily fell upon him—
He muttered to himself, "What does this mean? Are you concerned about me? Why are you speaking so gently?"
Yan Kui felt as if a butterfly was fluttering inside her chest, its wings flapping so fast that it made her breathing difficult.
She shook her head, forcibly suppressing the flutter in her heart.
