Chapter 91 Role-Playing Addiction
Soon after, the teachers entered the classrooms, and the multimedia hall instantly fell silent.
Pan Cheng, who was standing to the side, also fell silent, while Yan Kui focused on preparing for the first review of her thesis.
Three hours later.
Yan Kui was carrying her bag and preparing to go home. As soon as she stepped out of the teaching building, Pan Cheng followed behind her, calling out to her repeatedly.
"Yan Kui! Yan Kui! Wait for me! Let's go out for a meal, it's been so long, let's catch up."
Yan Kui turned her head away in an annoyance, looking at Pan Cheng who was smiling: "I'm busy, I don't want to talk."
"Hey, don't be angry. Is there anything I can help you with? Just tell me, and I'll definitely help."
Yan Kui smiled slightly upon hearing her words.
"real?"
Pan Cheng nodded emphatically: "Absolutely true."
Yan Kui grinned mischievously: "Then go and slap Bai Jiaqing and Yan Shuyu twice each, okay?"
Pan Cheng was stunned upon hearing this, and stammered, "Ah... this..."
Seeing her like this, Yan Kui didn't stop walking and sneered, "You'd better not get involved in my business with them. Anyway, it has nothing to do with you. Don't be a fool and end up being used as a pawn."
They then drove away.
Pan Cheng stood there, noticing the slight concern in Yan Kui's tone. Watching her leave the school, she couldn't help but sigh, "Looks like you're doing pretty well. You're even driving a Maybach now. You're smart enough to get by anywhere."
Remembering what Yan Kui had just told her, she tapped her head. It seemed she should mind her own business.
…………
After returning home, Yan Kui threw her backpack aside and lay down on the sofa.
The first hearing ended, and the teachers didn't say anything wrong. It seems she can just wait to go back to school for her thesis defense in May.
As soon as the pressure eases, I start to feel drowsy.
I slept straight through until after 6 p.m., when I was woken up by a phone call from Wei Yin.
Yan Kui groggily opened her eyes, reached for her phone on the coffee table, and saw the words "Zookeeper" displayed on it.
Who is it?
Yan Kui was grumpy when she woke up, and her tone was very unpleasant.
When did she save this kind of person in her phone contacts? She's never owned a pet.
Wei Yin, who was on the other end of the phone, had just finished work and returned home when he saw Yan Kui's impatient voice coming from the phone that had just been answered.
After a moment's hesitation: "Your boss."
?
The word "boss" instantly pulled Yan Kui out of her drowsiness, and she immediately sat up.
Her voice was still hoarse from just waking up, making her sound more obedient: "This is your phone number? When did you save it? You didn't even tell me."
Wei Yin took off his coat, loosened his tie, put his phone aside, and turned on the speakerphone.
"I saved it before, but I forgot to mention it."
Yan Kui was not very satisfied with the title and said coquettishly, "Then how can you call me a zookeeper? I'm not an animal."
Wei Yin chuckled and teased her, "Back in Luoxia Village, didn't I feed you every day? I'm practically your half-master."
Yan Kui felt that he was addicted to role-playing and didn't want to talk to him about it.
To shift the focus, she asked sweetly, "When are you coming to see me?"
Looking at the message sent to him by the dean of students at Nanjing University, Wei Yin asked in return, "I heard your thesis did well in the first review. If you're free, would you like to come to Taipei for a visit?"
He tried to coax her by saying, "I happen to have time to take you sightseeing. There are lots of delicious foods in Taipei."
Yan Kui leaned back on the sofa, twirling her index finger in her hair: "You even know that."
After thinking about it again, he said, "Going is fine. I'll arrange a banquet in a few days and see how it goes."
Wei Yin breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that she didn't object: "A housekeeper will come to your place tomorrow and will be in charge of cleaning your house and preparing the food for the banquet."
Then he heard his assistant quietly step forward and whisper a few words in Wei Yin's other ear.
Wei Yin's lips curved into a smile, his deep voice carrying a distinct gentleness: "I've booked your ticket for next week, I'll pick you up then."
