Chapter 7 Identity Revealed
Three days later.
Yan Kui had composed herself and accepted the fact that she was a fake heiress. She stayed at home quietly for three days, packed some clothes she needed for an emergency change, and did not take anything else from the Yan family.
For the past three days, Yan's parents and brother Yan Shangyu have not returned home. It is likely that the three of them are at the villa in the south of the city reuniting with that girl.
At this moment, the butler came over and said to Yan Kui, "Miss, the master, madam, and young master are on their way back. They asked me to tell you that they have something to say to you later, and they hope you can wait at home."
Yan Kui flipped through the magazine in her hand and softly hummed in agreement.
Looking at the elegant and beautiful young lady before him, the butler recalled the impatient and agitated tone of the lady on the phone earlier. Wondering what had happened, he sighed and whispered, "Miss, the lady might not be in a good mood today..."
Yan Kui paused slightly as she flipped through the magazine, a rare genuine smile appearing on her face. She said to the butler, "Thank you for the reminder."
After saying that, Yan Kui went upstairs to her room.
She sat for a while in the dance studio where she had spent her childhood, then went to her own little study, took out her childhood diary, and put it into the only bag she wanted to take with her.
After doing all that, Yan Kui, dressed in a comfortable dress, lay on a rocking chair in the garden, her long, ink-black hair gathered in front of her chest, swaying quietly.
After an unknown amount of time, Yan Kui heard a series of noisy sounds coming from the living room. When she opened her eyes, she saw her angry mother, her indifferent father, and Yan Shangyu, whose expression was unclear.
Yan's mother was also holding a girl's hand.
The girl's complexion was somewhat sallow, and her hair was very dry. Perhaps due to years of hard work, the girl's exposed knuckles were very large, indicating that she was quite strong.
But the eyes that were staring at Yan Kui held a hint of smugness.
Shu Yu spoke first, her eyes brimming with tears: "Mom and Dad, is this our home? Waaah... I... I used to live in a dark cement house, and I had to fetch water from a well. During the day, I had to go up the mountain to chop firewood. The villagers always called me their nemesis and often bullied me..."
She choked up as she said, "I never knew I had such a beautiful home, such wonderful parents and a wonderful brother... I had such a hard life before..."
When the three members of the Yan family heard her say that, their hearts involuntarily ached again.
During this time, Shu Yu kept telling them how hard and tiring it was for her in the countryside, and how many people bullied her, which broke the hearts of the Yan family.
Yan Kui pretended not to know or understand, and just looked at the four people standing in front of her. Yan's mother looked at her crying biological daughter and said with anger and reproach, "Yan Kui, do you know that you are not my biological daughter?"
Then he pulled the girl in front of him into his arms, hugged her tightly, and said, "This is the true young lady of our Yan family, Yan Shuyu!"
Yan Kui looked incredulous and said, "What...what do you mean...are you all joking with me?"
The caring look in Yan's mother's eyes was gone. She said, word by word, "I'm not joking. We've already done a paternity test. Shu Yu just got back and doesn't want to see you. Pack your things and go somewhere else for a while."
Yan's father patted Yan Shuyu's head and comforted her, "Don't cry, Shuyu. Your father, mother, and brother will always love and care for you. This will always be your home."
Yan's father looked up, his expression unfamiliar: "Yan Kui, listen to your mother."
After saying that, he placed the paternity test reports of the three people and Shu Yu on the table.
Yan Shangyu hesitated for a moment, looking at Yan Kui's injured little face. He wanted to hold back, but still said, "Kui Kui, I'll take you to the villa in the south of the city."
It's very similar to the scene in my dream.
Yan Kui felt that she had long accepted this matter, but when the reality was unfolding before her eyes, she still couldn't help but feel a little sad.
When Yan Shuyu saw that her brother actually wanted to keep her here, she cried out in shock, "I don't want to! Isn't it enough that she's been deliberately occupying my position for so many years! And now you want her to stay in the Yan family! Why?! Didn't you find out about her background?! Let this imposter leave! Go back to her own home!"
After saying that, he picked up the teacup beside him and threw it straight at Yan Kui.
